Couldn't find a shop in Charleston that would perform work on the ecoboost/turbo so we borrowed a friends car tower/trailer and hauled our 2011 Ford F150 to Redmonds so that they could fix the coolant leak at the turbo/ecoboost. Redmonds jumped right on it and took care of it and hopefully we can get some more usage out of our F150. Thanks for doing a great job and the good communication/pointers that you provided to us to look out for. Note to USC parents, this is your place to send your USC student's vehicle if something comes up while at USC.

If you need an honest, knowledgeable, top notch mechanic shop in Columbia, Redmonds is it! My USC student had her car cared for, by Redmonds and they went above and beyond to keep her Honda sound (without adding anything unnecessary).Recently, she used another mechanic to replace brakes. Long story short, she was swindled by that shop and the car's braking system was not functional. The brake shop wanted to charge a large sum to fix something they had caused. I towed that car to Redmonds and they were able to repair it, with far less involved. They treat the customer and the cars, like they would do to family. Thank you for helping me out, in this big way! BTW, a couple from Columbia, bought the car and I mentioned your gold star shop!

Very efficient and very reasonable cost. They fixed a few things at no charge which was awesome! I highly recommend Redmond's Cody will explain and recommend the best course of service and price! Customer Service is number one and still exists at Redmond's unlike many service companies!

Staff is great, but the guy at the front desk is very condescending and talks down to me every time I speak to him. Took them 3 days to put tires on my car. When I pick it up, they’ve put the wrong tires in the wrong size after refusing to quote me on four specific sets before I settled on one he suggested. When I told them they had put the dead wrong tires on my car all he had to say was I would “like them better anyway”.

Redmond’s is fantastic! They’re very quick and efficient. I could tell that their techs are honest about their recommendations, as they gave me the option to get other work done, but told me that it wasn’t necessary. Will continue to take my car here for any future repairs/service!

We had car trouble down from a very long road trip to south carolina. We arrived without an appointment and the team at redmonds immediately took care of us and went above and beyond to find the problem, fix the problem, and made us feel at home while we waited. I would recommend everyone who needs any mechanical car service to go here. What an amazing team, they are honest reasonable and most of all explain every option and educate you thru the process. Had the AC replaced in my Explorer. Felt the guys there knew exactly what they were doing and was charged fairly for the extensive work it takes to replace an AC. I was even offered to come by and see the car taken apart and they would explain what they were doing. Redmond's Auto came highly recommended to me and I have already highly recommended them to someone else today.

Redmond’s is awesome! Whenever I have any issues with my car I’ll walk in and they squeeze me in as fast as possible, which is always impressively quick. I drive an ‘04 Mustang that’s ALWAYS got something wrong with it and without fail, they always get it diagnosed and repaired faster than any other shop I’ve been to. Seriously, this car was on its last leg for a while and now it runs perfectly. I had my car sitting in the shop down the street for almost 2.5 months without any progress and no one could tell me what was wrong with it. So I had it moved to Redmond’s and they literally pinpointed the issue, found the part that Ford discontinued years ago, and got it back to me, all within maybe like 3 days max. If they find other issues, they always reach out immediately with options while also being honest about whether or not it’s a crucial repair. They’re all super transparent and professional. Prices are fair and the customer service is so much better than the other places. I always recommend Redmond’s whenever someone has any car issues.

I cannot explain how great these guys are at Redmond’s auto. My family and I have had multiple cars serviced there and other places have quoted us way higher than why should have been. We have had multiple jeeps serviced with them and they are always very upfront with us about the issue and what the cost should be. They don’t nickel and dime you here and are knowledgeable on issues associated with certain vehicles. I’ve called multiple times the day of an issue and they have been able to work with me and fit me in to make sure we are taken care of. As long as I live in Columbia I won’t be going anywhere other than Redmond’s. Thank you to all the guys at Redmond’s and for their services.

Excellent auto work and honest. I thought I needed brakes so the dealership told me but I didn"t. The belts in the two front tires separated so four new tires were purchased. An honest garage in this day and time. Hard to believe.

We damaged a tire travelling to Columbia from Michigan. We called a few hours out, and they were able to get the tire in, and replace it as soon as we arrived. Very accommodating and friendly.

We called to have brakes pads replaced and they said they do not replace brake pads and will only replace ALL rotors and brake pads. So instead, the price was DOUBLE. It’s a nice new car and I’m sure the rotors are fine, but they have a hard set rule, which is ridiculous. Another place is doing it for 1/2 (AND despite their response below, the other place said the front pads are FINE. Do Not need to be replaced) . It seems like they’re taking advantage of the young college drivers. We won’t go here anymore.
