Recently took my vehicle in for an alignment, they were kind enough to check out some other things for me to make sure my vehicle was good to go. Great people and great service; very knowledgeable and thorough. 10/10 would recommend.

First time going to Real and they took care of me and my truck. While it took longer than I expected, they test drove and made sure my issue was 100% resolved before giving it back to me. Communication was fantastic and love the texting feature since it's sometimes hard for me at call during work. I'll be going back for future work!

Hot my clutch replaced here and everything went perfect with that. Only thing is the labor increased from 1100 the day before I picked it up, I had called to check the progress and it was confirmed to be 1100, and the next day when she called to say it was fixed I was told I can come get it for 1600+ without explaining the increase. Still a little better than the dealership was offering and im happy with the end result. They're qualified and don't too long so it's a good place to go to with fair pricing. It's gonna be my regular spot

I recently had real automotive and performance install new brakes on my Dodge pick up truck. I supplied the parts pads and rotors and they installed my parts obviously with no guarantee on the parts, but did give me a guarantee on the labor. It was nice to visit an automotive shop and have some work done where they didn’t sell you goods and services that you did not need or want their honest Great prices great service and all around great people

They kindly worked with my wonky schedule. Did a great job. Will I use them again? Yes. I went to them again for a second issue, my oil pressure sensor needed to be changed due to a leaking seal. The following day the new part they installed failed causing an oil leak (it spurted a quart of oil during the 10 minute drive to work). When I turned it on after work the oil pressure light came on. The shop had my car towed back. One of the mechanics drove me home (clear across town) where we realized that my house keys were back at the shop. He (Jacob, for the shout out) arranged for his mother to pick them up from the office manager (who had to drive back to the closed shop) and meet us with the keys. The following day the shop fixed the car with a new part, cleaned up the oil inside the engine compartment and made sure (through test runs) that I had a sound car. I was not charged a dime for the tow nor the part and labor. They took wonderful care of me and honored their warranties fully. Above and beyond. Thank you so much Real Automotive.

They told me it would be done in 3 days but took seven and charged me 2,000 but will cost 3,400 more to fix the damaged state I got my audi back in my self after being told that after their visualinspection every thing was good. The same day I got my car back the plastic skid plate wasn't properly installed and flew off on the high way almost casing a eight car pile up behind me and the next morning my check engine light was on from the intercooler braking because the radiator and radiator mount where broke and installed with zip ties and metal wire that gave way. My bumper wasn't put back properly and doesn't fit right anymore like it was in an accident or something....

When my daughter's car needed some attention, I googled "best Subaru mechanic in Colorado Springs" and Real Performance and Automotive came up with some great reviews, so I gave them a try. Even with those high expectations, they exceeded them. Jake and the team quickly gave me a clear and fair estimate and told me how the process would go and that's exactly how it went. When some other items came up that needed repair, those were communicated clearly and professionally. The work was quick, thorough and fairly priced. I grew up in an automotive repair shop and therefore I can say without reservation that these folks are awesome. What I've also learned about the auto repair business is that people always show up in the shop after receiving the bad news that their car needs work. And so in their anger or disappointment, there is a tendency to blame the shop for what's wrong with their car. Add to that the complexity of cars today (complicated to fix) and the result is that some customers will not be satisfied, no matter what the outcome. That's my explanation for the few bad reviews of this business. Like many others before me, I had an excellent experience with them.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my first experience with REAL A&P - I like working on my own car as far as I am able, but when I recently failed a diesel emissions test, I decided my car needed a fresh set of eyes looking at it - the good folks at REAL performed a full diagnostic and reported back to me with results within a day. I was given a verbal rundown of all issues discovered, PLUS a printout of the same including an online link for my convenience. The highlight of my experience was when I was asked "Would you like for us to take care of any of these while your car is here?" This alone puts REAL head and shoulders above most repair shops; I live on a budget, and to be able to select what services I want performed is very gratifying. It allows me to determine a time in the future to schedule important repairs when it works for ME. I will be back to do just that, as the staff have won my confidence - color me impressed! p.s. - I was given a quote for a repair I selected, and that was the price I paid when I picked up my car - NO surprises.

I take all my vehicles here for the best service every time. Very honest & reliable for a quick turnaround. They offer complimentary drinks and have a very comfortable and cozy waiting area set up with hulu, Netflix, etc to help the time pass if you are waiting.

In October of 2024 I was on a road trip with my 1929 Model A. I had driven to Bartlesville, OK and was on my return trip home. When I was driving from Kansas to Colorado Springs I developed an issue with my 4L60E transmission. My transmission controller would lose power when I would hit a bump and it would shift out of overdrive. I would hit another bump and it would shift back into overdrive. I purchased the transmission from Gearstar Performance Transmissions, so I called them and asked them if they knew of a shop in Colorado Springs that they might recommend to diagnose the problem. They recommended Real Automotive and Performance. I called and spoke with Jake the Service Manager. Jake was very accommodating and worked me into their schedule to see if they could find the issue. I was on a tight schedule and they didn't have enough time to properly diagnose the problem. They thought it might be a bad ground issue and repaired that and I went on my way. After driving a few miles it became apparent that the issue was not a ground wire problem. I left the car at a friends house in Colorado Springs and flew home to go get my pickup and car trailer. I made an appointment to bring the car back to allow Real Automotive do more diagnostics on the car. Jake was an absolute pleasure to work with. He assured me that they would find the issue. Liam was the technician that was assigned to the job. This is not any ordinary car to work on so he had to spend time familiarizing himself with the wiring of the car. After spending a few hours diagnosing, the issue was found. It was a problem with the wire that powers the transmission controller. Liam repaired the wire and the transmission is working properly again. I was impressed and grateful for the fairness, honesty and integrity of my treatment. The charge for service was very reasonable and I was extremely impressed with the experience and knowledge of the technician who worked on my car. This shop is run with the highest level of professionalism, honesty and integrity. I highly recommend them!

I have not had my vehicle serviced here, yet. However, the customer service and detail it contains are second to none. This is so important to me, as I feel it's often overlooked, especially in the auto industry. I will absolutely be returning for future service.

I went in to have my brakes inspected and the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.They got inspection done quickly and informed me of some maintenance issues that will need attention in the near future. When it’s time for the repairs, I will definitely take my car back to their shop. Thank you REAL Automotive for taking such great care of me and my car!!

I do NOT do reviews or surveys but these people went above and beyond! I had called a few places that seemed to have no interest in working on my car but these guys took the time to help me from the very first call. I cannot brag enough about their prices and their service. Hands down the very best shop I have ever been to!!

Seemed good at first, high ratings, friendly, polite. One day job turned into 3 days (radiator and water pump replace). No communication. No phone call. I showed up to pick up my truck, when they told me to, and they said it will be another day. Super disappointed at the total lack of communication internally and w their customers. I don't recommend unless you have unlimited time and no where to be. Also saw other walk in customers who seemed to be taken care of despite not meeting their self imposed deadlines. Super sad as I wouldn't have scheduled w them had they told me it would take 3 days.

Very unhappy with the honesty of this company. I took my Audi Q5 in because the door that covers the gas cap had been pried open while being locked which had caused it not to close and latch. We took it in to just get an estimate on fixing the latch on the door. When I came back to pick up the car, they had quoted me $435 to fix the latch. I went home to discuss further actions with my husband and when I got home, I noticed the door was latched. I opened it, then closed it a couple of times and it worked just fine. I’ve waited almost a month to post this to make sure it working wasn’t just a coincidence. But it still is working as it should. So the office tried to sell me on replacing it after the mechanic had looked into it and fixed it without it needing replaced. It’s hard to believe that the mechanic and the office had miscommunicated because they went into detail how they had to order the part from Canada. Be cautious when taking your car there because it seems like they will try to make you pay more and replace something that they can easily fix for a lot less.

I don’t even know where to begin! This place is fantastic. Don’t try to upsell you or tell you that you need to have specific things or parts that your vehicle HAS to have, and do things in a timely manner and get it done quick and efficiently, and even work with extended warranty’s for vehicles. Sarah and Jake are the most reliable, honest, and trustworthy mechanic shop in the city! If you need help with your vehicle, I definitely recommend coming here to fleet things fixed and wouldn’t second guess going anywhere else. THANK YOU JAKE AND SARAH!!!

I was passing through town with no opportunities to be a repeat customer but these folks jumped in and did some great work getting me back on the road. I had had the same thing fixed earlier in the trip and it failed again. They're conscientious fix that cleaned it up held out permanently. I highly recommend them for any locals that need good work done.

So glad to have finally found a reliable and affordable autoshop. Their customer service is top notch and they communicated with me through the entire process. I brought my 99 4Runner in to get the clutch replaced and diagnose any other potential issues. They gave me recommendations on what to get fixed based off of severity and let me know what issues could wait to be serviced. The clutch repair didnt go perfectly, but they informed me of the issue of the new slave cylinder leaking and attempted to replace it in a timely manner so i could get my car back. Unfortunately it was still leaking a little when i got it back causing the clutch pedal to sometimes not come back up all the way (which didnt happen when they test drove it). When I took it back in to them they made me a priority and tried new fixes to solve the issue and replaced the master cylinder for free! I would highly recommend this autoshop to anyone looking to get their vehicle repaired. These are mechanics you can trust and customer service you can rely on!

i can't recommend these guys enough. i had trouble with my fiat on a roadtrip and these guys helped me on a pinch and they were very friendly and professional too! I'm considering coming back to Colorado springs just to get my car serviced here.
