Update 2: They've been really kind to me after this situation. It seems like there was a pretty big miscommunication. Update: I had my brother speak with them again and they took another look at it. They said that it's an issue that they can't fix and said I'd need to talk to a dealership to get it looked at. I brought it into the dealership and they said that the coolant valve was sticking which was what the problem was. I don't know if this is because of the party they replaced it with or not, but overall I unfortunately still can't recommend this place. I brought my Prius in for a coolant issue, and they said they'd be able to fix it. I brought it in and $440 later they said they fixed it. On the drive home, the check engine light turned back on. I brought it back and they said that they don't know how to fix hybrids and told me to go to the dealership instead.

I'll admit that I don't know about anything that has wheels. But I'm good at spotting people who have skills/talents that are exceptional. This is one of those situations where I can't tell you exactly why I know these guys really know their $h!t, but I promise you they absolutely do. In this day and age, (and geographical location) unfortunately I can see how these guys' personalities might bother some people who think customer service should include playful banter about unrelated subjects or needs a gentle hand holding or your ego stroked to get your vehicle fixed (or diagnosed) for whatever reason, there are plenty of other places that will do subpar car work but at least you'll get your warm fuzzies. These guys are more than capable mechanically and they know it but still offer very reasonable pricing compared to the other shops in the area. I called a bunch of places for quotes, all within a 10 mile radius of this place before deciding on giving these guys a shot. Out of roughly a dozen places, these guys actually answered their phone and I would say probably in the top 5 for cost. The places that did offer cheaper service either didn't answer the phone so technically I couldn't confirm the lower prices, or they didn't want to work on my specific vehicle or they didn't have immediate availability or they just seemed incompetent in some way. Racers had competitive pricing without all those issues. The shop isn't as big as I thought it would be but it was well kept and I liked that the actual mechanic was the one to greet me instead of a receptionist. I told him briefly about the situation. Again I'm kinda ignorant when it comes to this stuff but he was patient with my lack of proper vocabulary and regardless was able to easily identify the things I couldn't name and understand everything I was concerned about and wanted to know. He then took my car to the back for a few minutes with his either coworker or employee. (Not sure which. But clearly another knowledgeable mechanic and quite possibly the ONLY other mechanic working there. I watched them go to work quickly with confidence and careful concentration they were thorough and were done impressively fast. They wrote out what all was needed for my vehicle to be in good condition again, went over specifics with me and then I paid and left there knowing I had indeed made the right decision going to them. I recommend them to anyone I know having car trouble who wants quality service at a fair cost and in a timely manner. Great job Racer's. I look forward to having more work done by this shop in the future if/when the need arises.

Brought my 22 year old SUV in for a parking brake issue, had gone to multiple shops to have my parking brake adjusted. None of them could figure it out for some reason? Had the car for almost 10 years. Never had a problem before with having it adjusted.This shop got me in and got me out same day within a couple hours, Problem solved. Will come here in the future.

Had an issue with our 4runner. The ABS light had come on, and it wouldn't go into gear. They were able to get it fixed in a short time and for a far price.

Great shop. I drove in from out of state overheating and many places told me that it was the thermostat I had a leak that others couldn’t figure out. They replaced the thermostat and the leak was still there so they took it apart again and found 2 ring seals that needed replacement. They were honest not to send me home the way I came and the car runs great now.

I was referred to Racers Automotive last week by another shop in the area. I was interested in purchasing a used vehicle and I wanted to have it inspected by a mechanic since it was a rebuilt car. Robbie was very respectful, honest, and willing to listen to my questions/concerns and give advice and recommendations. Working with him was probably the best experience I've had with a mechanic and I only wish I lived closer to this shop so I could take my car in there for regular service. 100% recommend coming here to work with them

This is my go to repair shop for my Toyota 4runner. The mechanics are top notch, honest, and use high quality parts, unlike places I've gone to in the past. I've been taking my 4runner here for 2 years. Wish I would have discovered them sooner.

Truly enjoyed the great service that Robbie provided. However his helper could use some customer service etiquette. I felt he was rough in his answers and rather rude. Hoping it was a off day for him as I really want to continue taking my car there. I can tell Robbie is fair and honest with a vast amount of knowledge that I am hoping will solve some of the past mechanic errors that have happened to my beautiful old car :)
