I have to be honest at this point, this was the worst experience ive ever acquired in any automotive service shop. Belittled and disrespected after waiting 4hrs with a week before appointment, already preset. The attitude i was given was beyond upsetting. I watched alot of senior citizens stop in to air in there tires checked. I felt sorry for them. But after they finally looked at work vehicle, and quoted me $3,000.00 to fix my brakes, i understand why i felt bad for those senior citizens. The owner that had the place yrs back, was a good guy. But this new ownership has no idea what he is setting himself up for. Please check around people, before you make a decision with the repair shop.

My Insurance agent recommended PTL Auto, after I told him I had car trouble and it has been the same issue every time and it was ongoing. I was taking to the dealership ( Brannon Honda) each time they fix I still have the same issue didn’t understand how come they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my Honda. Almost was ready to purchase another vehicle until I decided to give them a chance , so glad I did needlessly to say problems solved they really know their stuff and it wasn’t ridiculous expensive as dealership. Thanks Ronni Rivera for the recommendation and PTL Auto. # still car note free😊

Had an appointment to get my air checked after I told them that it had to be the compressor and I already had Freon in but yet they still put more in it and I was charged $100 for them to tell me the same thing I told them as if they really checked and I already knew that had to be it. And also the staff isn’t very friendly.

I took my suv in because it vibrated during braking. I asked them to check the brakes and rotors. Instead they replaced suspension and control arms while charging me $800 that I did not have. Needless to say it didn't fix the problem and I had to return the vehicle the next week only to have them change the brakes and rotors. They charged me an extra $300 to fix the problem I asked them to fix during the first visit. When I confronted them about the first charges which didn't fix the problem they refused to make things right. Of course they denied fixing something that wasn't broken but they refused to acknowledge being asked to fix a problem they overlooked. They charged me for a problem that didn't exist while ignoring the problem that did. I had to pay for both. I encourage you to contact the Better Business Bureau with your complaints. You are not alone. Since the business has changed ownership the customer service has suffered tremendously.

I've taken my vehicles to PTL for many years. They've always been fair, honest, reasonable, accommodating. Mr. Tim is retired now but you would think he's still around due to the level of service and professionalism the staff there now exhibits. I've always felt comfortable taking my vehicles there and I foresee me being a patron for the foreseeable future. I also have no qualms about referring anyone to them. Keep it up guys👍🏾

Took sister's car there today and as usual they did a great job. Been doing business with them 15 years, never had a complaint. They are honest and if you don't need something they will tell you and not just try to sell you something you don't need. Great staff, recommend these people highly.

It's always hard to find a trustworthy car repair shop - I found one. One of the newer repair chain shops in Irondale (main tire installer for Amazon in Birmingham) called me during tire install and informed me that I urgently need new brake pads because I have only 2.5 mm left, plus new rotors, struts, shocks.... and an alignment. Quote was $1500. They are well known for upselling so I figured I try PTL for new brakes instead because of the many positive reviews on Nextdoor. They looked at it free of charge and said my brake pads are only half worn down, and that I don't need any brake job done right now. Wow..that's the kind of honesty you really want in the car repair business. I am SOLD and will get all my stuff, including tires, done at PTL in the future.

PTL is a really outstanding repair shop. I have taken my car there for almost 10 years, and they have never let me down. They have never tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and more than once they have talked me out of work I thought I needed. Their prices are extremely reasonable. Several times I have stopped by without an appointment and they have pulled a code or made a quick repair free of charge to help me out. Tim, the owner, always checks after an appointment to make sure I am happy with the work. You can tell many of their customers have been with them for years. Their business is built on integrity and trust--I'm grateful they're in Roebuck!
