As with their storage, the service-side of Pro-Tek is outstanding. As a previous mechanic, and still somebody who prefers to do their own work on their car, I can say the Pro-Tek team instils complete faith in me that they'll do a perfect job. The techs are seasoned like some deep south bbq and the service advisors are genuine and knowledgable. If I'm gonna pay out of pocket for any work, it will be to them. They're the best.

One of the best shop out there. They were on time, used the best quality on my Alfa Romeo, very friendly staff, and very helpful. This was my first time coming here and I am going to choose this shop for every mechanical issues on my vehicles. Highly recommend this shop. Keep up the good work Pro-Tek Automotive. I would’ve give 6 stars if I could.

I needed DEQ testing in order to renew my car registration and they had me in and out in just a few minutes!! I really appreciated the kind service they provided and I will consider bringing my car here for its service needs in the future!

There was so much wrong with both cars i Mistakenly Took to these jokers, I Feel sick just trying to type it out. do yourself a favor Use any other shop Other than these guys what a joke and waste of time and money. I have been going to Pro Tek Automotive for approximately 20 years. They have always been great to work with. Recently I was in and worked with Colten Andreotti. This was an exceptional visit. Colt accomplished everything we had discussed, and went out of his way to assist me with the head light cleaning on my Lexus. I stay with Pro Tek for a reason.

I was in a serious jam. U joints and drive shaft. To say the least the guys were calm and cool and professional. They did quality work as quick as they could get the parts. I was surprised it was ready. They also looked past my tantrums. Adulting has been rough lately. It drives like new. Thank you to PRO TEK!! Joey O’.- D.

Shocked at the number of mishaps in one visit: Called ahead to get quote on oil and filter change plus fuel filter. Gave VIN because I wanted a real quote. Was given $6OO-$700. Went to pay, over $900. Nothing unforeseen. Nothing extra needed. Either they are incompetent at quoting or unethical. That was strike one. Strike two: when they were writing up work order I stated I wanted light housing checked. They forgot to check it. Said they’d call with a quote. Still waiting 10 days later. Unprofessional? Strike three: so during this visit I waited at shop for this oil change. Almost 2 hours later check ETA, they say they misplaced paperwork which delayed time and said it would be 15 more minutes. Then when I’m checking out, a different guy gave me a different excuse for the long wait, not sure who was lying - but 40 minutes later (not 15 minutes that they said ) which equated to almost 3 hours of waiting for the oil change. There were other mishaps during this visit by not worth more of my time typing - so annoyed at the lack of service, lack of a fair quote and absolutely no follow up with pending quote (obv I would not be going back again anyway). Avoid. There are better places with better service and better values as well as pride in workmanship. The bar for competency is so low these days.

Mike and his team were able to get me in for an oil change in a timely manner. They also did an awesome job on my wife’s van, which needed some repairs. Overall super professional, the staff communicate well, and they even have a sweet lounge in the back for hanging out while you wait! I recommend this shop to everyone I know who needs a trustworthy, quality mechanic.

Update 4/25/24 Needed an oil change and had a check engine light. Set my appt for less than a week out, diagnosed the car within a few hours and had it back in my hands by 2 pm the next day. Great quality of work and very communicative. 12/10 for these folks, take your car there if you care about getting the best work around. I can't speak highly enough about these guys. They got me in right away with no notice, diagnosed my car, and gave me options for the repair, all within an hour. They even recommended a reputable shop for some aftermarket goodies. I'll be back and will send my friends. 10/10 Thanks guys!

Best shop I have ever worked with. I have had my truck in with them twice for emergency repairs after attempted theft, and they have been an absolute life saver. Colten is very responsive and understanding, always keeping me in the loop and is constantly coming up with solutions that suit my budget. I also worked with Lex who was very knowledgeable, and generous with her time. The whole team there is great, I would not recommend any other place for anyone. The team at Pro-Tek is professional, thorough, and expeditious, I am so thankful I found them.

Absolutely fantastic customer service! I originally came in for DEQ Testing (it’s free there) and mentioned to Colten I was hearing some odd noises when backing up. Colten got me in just a few days later which was impressive (I had to wait months to get into Gerber previously from having my window smashed). Pro Tek was able to diagnose and fix a super serious issue at a very reasonable price. Everyone I encountered there was good vibes and I’m very happy with the quality of service. I will be back!

Before I even took my car to Protek, I already knew it was an issue with the old battery, and it could also be a problem with the fuel pump. After their diagnosis, they indeed confirmed my suspicion that it was a battery problem. They quoted me $1300, but later when I called Les Schwab for advice, they only needed $270 including installation. So, I decided not to replace the battery at Protek. They charge $165 for labor fee??? It's simply a dishonest business. They provide inaccurate quotes and charge unfairly. If you're naive and have a lot of money, then you should go there.

I had a great experience at Pro-Tek Automotive! Usually I change the engine oil in my vehicle myself because I hate how shops or oil change places typically just leave a big oily mess when the oil they are draining inadvertently runs onto the underside of a your car as it’s coming out of the oil pan. I’d heard great things about Pro-Tek so I thought I’d give them a try because at 56 years of age I’ve finally figured out I don’t really like the hassle of changing oil all that much lol. From the moment I arrived at the shop I was impressed - there were really nice classic cars here and there (as well as other normal cars) and the folks at the service counter were super friendly. They introduced me to the tech that would be working on my vehicle and when I explained to him my concerns for a big oily mess he told me “No problem, we always clean up the underside after an oil change”. The tech did a great job from start to finish, there’s no oily mess and he even checked and filled some other fluid levels as well. I highly recommend Pro-Tek Automotive and am so happy to have found a shop that takes the extra time to do things right.

I recently took in my 1988 bmw M5 to Pro tek where I worked with Mike and Collin . I was very nervous when choosing what shop I wanted to work on this car as there are only a handful made and I wanted the confidence that the job would be done right . The team at pro tek nailed it , got my car out in less than a week , and the pricing was fair . Very satisfied , highly recommend.

Mike and his team worked on my Dodge 1500. Exhaust manifold was making noise. He knew exactly what the issue was and gave me a quote that was right on the money. I was able to work out of his back room which had some great beverage options. The team check in on me enough to keep me in the loop but also not interrupt my work. The back shop had some very impressive classic cars that where fun to check out and take pics of.

This place is simply amazing! Was passing through Portland on a Friday. When my car started sounding horrible from an exhaust leak. They said bring it on in and instantly found the problem and fixed the issue! I would recommend this list to anybody and everybody!

We recently used PRO TEK Automotive to install Side Step Rails and Tow Package on our Jeep Grand Cherokee They did an excellent job from start to finish. They were timely, professional, and excellent quality of work. Colton and Mike at the front desk were great to work with. They were always available to speak with, and kept me informed on the status along the way. The shop is always clean, and the team seems to enjoy working together and interacting with clients. I truly appreciate them, and their upfront quotes as this relieves the stress and pressure when taking your car to an Automotive shop. We will be using them again with our future automotive repair and maintenance needs.

We were driving home from Newport Or and our truck started making a weird noise. We called this place and they were able to get us right in. They diagnosed the issue, quoted us a price and a time they would be done and were 100% accurate. We appreciated you guys!!!
