I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Shawn and his team. My wife’s car needed an engine replacement I was referred to pro- engine by another mechanic. After speaking with Shawn we decided a low mileage engine would be the way to go since it was an older car. Shawn arranged the tow to his shop the engine was replaced quickly along with any other parts that were needed. What really impressed me was after a few days we had a temp sensor problem with the car I got in touch and got the car back to him. The problem was corrected and had the car fixed in a day free of charge. Thanks again for standing behind your work!!

We were traveling from Tampa to Newport Beach, Ca and suddenly found ourselves with issues with our truck. I called this shop based on their good reviews and they were 100% true! I asked how busy they were as we were traveling cross-country on a schedule for work. They said "Based on that knowledge, they would do their best to squeeze us in quickly." When we arrived at the location, all their bays were full with vehicles. I was a little apprehensive, however when we explained who we were, they quickly got working on our car within about 10 minutes. They worked diligently and honestly and had us back on the road. It was so refreshing to meet a honest mechanic shop. We left with a handshake and we were grateful. I would bring our vehicles here if we lived anywhere in the Slidell area. Thanks Shawn & staff for your professionalism! (P.S. We hope you get your new T.V. hooked up!) Haha

Shawn and his team were truly amazing people to work with! It’s hard to find a reputable, honest mechanics shop nowadays, but luckily I did just that by choosing to visit here when I needed help with my car. I will no longer be using any other shop after having such a great experience with them. Thank you guys for getting me fixed up and back on the roads!

Updated response YOU ARE LYING! I called ASAP & showed back to your shop a few hours later. We have proof. Crying hysterically ? O.K. Bayou Boys towing told you that? The other guy told you I was a problem? Ok. Arley left a message yesterday 10/22 & said let’s talk this out. I know & the good Lord above knows what really happened. Not good business. I called your shop & your guy Arly was very pleasant & said bring it in. He called me later that day or next morning & said it could be done before noon, that it definitely was the fuel pump, gave me a price of $968 & I said to proceed with the job. symptoms: no engine light, worked fine the night before, but when the car was cold the next day, tried cranking engine & it was sputtering, battery worked so car was coming on at first, but as we continued to try to crank the car, it killed the battery ( it happens). Guy came out To diagnose & it was the fuel pump. I had my car towed from my home to a shop, where my car sat for two days waiting on getting serviced, It sat outside of the bay area & wasn’t touched. So, because of that , chose your place to have it towed & fixed due to the other shops I normally would have gone too, not being able to take it. Before noon the next day, received a call by you, and you said the car was ready, gave me the price of 968 and I said, ok coming to get it. And before I hung up, you stated oh by the way, we heard a faint clicking sound in your engine. We checked it and it looks like you have a tiny crack in the manifold. It is nothing to worry about right now, but if you see the engine light come in the future, it may be something you want to get fixed because it will get louder, and it will cause other problems. And you said it could be three years from now, who knows! I said OK. Came in and paid my bill. Took the car up the road, not even to the end of Old Spanish Trail and Front Street and the engine light came on. I thought maybe the car needed to be reset or something, it happens in these kind of cars. I called ASAP. I was told to bring the car in and they would put the diagnostics on it. The guy that came out was not very friendly at all, put his machine up to it and said I can’t do anything with this. You need to bring it back tomorrow and leave the car here. What?? I just paid almost $1000 & for him to tell me that? My husband just literally came back to town after being away a month. We left and I was pretty upset about that, called back & spoke to your lovely, sweet, front desk person. She said you were gonna call me back. I had no idea you were no longer at the shop, & I didn’t ask for you to call me. But you called & I voiced to you that I wondered if someone drove & tested the car because the engine light came on right away. I was trying to find out that if it was driven, maybe they would have seen the engine light before I came to pick it up, and maybe y’all could’ve caught the problem. I also stated that it was coincidental, you had just told me about the engine light may come on, & it would probably be from the manifold crack. I was in no way insinuating you or your guys broke my car manifold as you yelled at me. I tried to explain myself. I tried to finish my sentence, & you wouldn’t let me talk. You talked to me like a dog & scolded me like I was a young child, then you told me you did me a favor by talking to me on the phone while you were at your sons sports event & that you had to go. That I could bring my car back into the the shop and y’all would look it over like it was a new case. Did me a favor?? I chose your business! I did you a favor! I’ve seen other reviews on Google where you’ve talked down to people, & were rude, so I know it wasn’t just me. Seems like you have a hot temper, & a little bit of an obnoxious arrogance to you. I have never heard of another Mechanic, or my dad, speak to a customer the way you spoke to me on the phone. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend, especially women. Oh, & by the way, the diagnosis was the purge valve. Diagnosed & repaired in a hr.

Shawn, Lyle, Jason and the gentleman in the office took wonderful care of my wife and I when we had trouble with our van traveling through. They gave us exceptional service, a fair price, and had us back on the road in no time. True professionals. I would recommend them to any and everyone.

Terrible diagnostic mechanics. Literally held my truck for two days. Waisted my time and charged me $200 to do nothing but tell me what I already told them. I left the mechanic a list of what had already been done on the truck. It was completley ignored. If I wanted a shade tree mechanic to run a generic scanner on it and throw parts at the codes I would have went to Walmart or Goodyear.. SMH Terrible experience, Get a real diag mechanic not these youtube University Clowns you have arguing with eachother over flag hours. Driving customer vehicles around rough throwing little tempered tantrums cause they couldn't push their scam on someone. I will not reccomend this place to anyone. I paid them and desputed the charges with my bank. DONT USE PRO AUTO they are more like a jiffy lube or tire town. Uneducated and inexperienced "technicians". This is the type of shop that people leave spending way more than they needed to. Stay away

Professional diagnosis. Estimate and final bill were within limits. A full engine swap with other upgrades tona 2012 Jeep Wrangler were completed within in a week. Jasper engines have a 100,000 mile / 3 year warranty. PRO Engine honors the warranty even if out of state when you coordinate with them.

I went to Pro-auto based on the high reviews, to see if they could narrow down a vibration. They were unable to diagnose the problem or offer any solutions after looking at it. While the front desk guy was cool, the second guy i spoke with on the phone was rude and dismissive of my concerns. The overall experience was not what I expected. The one star isn't because they couldn't find the issue, but more so on the customer service side.

Paid 1800$ to get my ac fixed and it worked for three days. Ac back to blowing hot but now also leaks really bad. Carpet on passenger side is soaking wet. I had to cut carpet out to prevent mold. Really sad about my experience.

Very disappointed in service. Very unprofessional. Got engine replaced for $7000 and got car back with more issues then when I dropped it off. They didn’t want to help resolve it. I do not recommend no matter how many good reviews you see. Don’t say you weren’t warned! 0 stars!!!!! Jason and Shawn are unprofessional. Like I said I received my car back with more problems than I bought it in with. Y’all can believe his response if you want. He also got up out his chair aggressively to put me out of his shop after I mentioned having everything recorded and taking them to court. I don’t know how the engine is doing because I been there for 2 hours because of the other things that were damaged. Lol I will let you guys know the update after I speak with my lawyer. Hey Shawn 1 thing to remember in a service business is CUSTOMER SERVICE. If your customer service stinks your business stinks. Food for thought lol see you in court wacko. Let’s be clear the only two people inside the office at the time was Jason and Shawn and No one threatened nobody or screamed any profanity in your shop Wow what type of morals you have to get on here and lie, yeah you definitely broke my car and want to cover it up. It’s good my God handle all my battles. We record every interaction because we know how no good businesses play it. Good luck proving your lies against recordings!
