Nice honest shop. Had coolant problems and a broken thermostat on the way back to Montana in my 2005 Tacoma. They were able to get me in same day and charged a reasonable price for labor and even offered to use the extra coolant I had been topping the truck off with instead of charging me for more coolant. Good shop would recommend.

So thankful for this place... my daughter was broken down with all of her worldly goods just trying to get back to Colorado and she said everyone there was soooooo nice to her. And they got her fixed up in no time and back on the road! Thank you thank you

Came in towed off the interstate last minute in the afternoon. Clay and his team were informative, friendly, and efficient. Pricing was fair and they got me back on the road by days end and were able to explain to me everything going on with my vehicle. Would highly recommend.

I found myself without power steering as I traveled down through Flaming Gorge. It was very scary! Managed to obtain fluid and drove straight to Rock Springs and began calling shops at 4 pm. The first 2 no go, but when I called Pete's, Clay was friendly and stated he was quite busy, but bring it by in the morning. I dropped it off at 9 am. and had it back by noon, and it was fixed and very reasonably priced. I want to thank Pete's for making the time for this traveler!

Pete's seems to be a solid place. Had the power steering go out on a Chrysler Town & Country. We were scheduled pretty promptly and they diagnosed and fixed it same day. No frills, decent pricing, and things are fixed!

Was traveling back home from the Wind River Range when my fuel pump went out 60 miles outside of Rock Springs. Called around and Pete's was able to get me in and get me back on the road the SAME day. They were extremely helpful and offered to even help move my car to the shop once it died on the off ramp to Rock Springs. They did a great job and I seriously cannot believe that they were that helpful with getting me back on the road. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was looking at a vehicle on the net almost 300 miles away. Dealership wanted deposit and I lose that deposit if purchase is not made. I called Pete late night...border line last second before they close. From the gal who answers phone to putting me in contact with Pete...speaking to him about my need of Truck Inspection. 5 stars They picked Truck F350 2012 early the next morning and called me after inspection. Filled me in about couple things and assured me Truck was in great shape. I needed a ASAP deal and got it Thanks Pete & Company. Oh and I am very happy with my new to me Truck.

I was traveling across the country and I stopped in for a coolant leak. They fixed the leak by replacing the timing gasket, and did the timing gear and chain while they were in there, which I really appreciated. It seemed ok until I arrived home 5 days later and noticed the belt was not put on correctly and was mostly shredded, and the coolant was extremely low. I was told they burped it so I figured they had put more in, but it was nowhere near enough if they did. I know the belt was ok prior because I just bought the truck a few days prior and I just looked at it while I inspected the truck for purchase.

My son had an incident and a light got stuck on. They were able to get him right in and disable the light so the batteries would not run dead. Then order parts, scheduled us and got repaired. The actual cost was less than the quoted amount. Love to see a shop that treats you fair and does a great job at getting the vehicle repaired.

We were stuck on the freeway and Clay really helped us out and got us back on the road. We had arrived near closing time and they were so kind to check it out at the end of the day. Clay dropped us off at our hotel and picked us up the next morning. We are so very grateful!

It appears that if you are traveling through Wyoming and have car issues, it's best to go to Pete's. My daughter and I were driving from Idaho to Baltimore, Maryland and had car issues. They got us in right away and got the problem fixed and we were back on the road and still on schedule. Great job! Highly recommend!!!!!

On a long road trip from Kansas, the rear wheel of my SUV started making a terrible noise after driving on a dirt road. I though dang I just had brakes done, was it a joint, the axle, or something jammed up there?! I was in a remote part of southern Wyoming, nothing in sight, and needed to get to Salt Lake City that day. I decided to try and make the 40 miles to the next sizable town. After visiting a few shops in Rock Springs that were all too busy, I was directed to Pete's. They said, sure we'll take a look and see what we can do. When I got there, everyone was friendly, they gave the wheel a listen and took it in to put it up on a lift. Within a half hour, they took the wheel off, found a rock jammed up in there which they dislodged, charged me a small fee, and I was on my way. Thanks Pete's! PS they have lots of cool fun ATV's and motorcycles to look at while you're waiting.

These days, unfortunately it seems to be very difficult to find good service, let a lone great service. We recently needed major engine repair work done on our daughter's car. She is a single mom with two kids on a limited budget. Brian, the service manager, and his crew did an outstanding job! Good work takes time and they are a busy shop, but Brian kept us updated throughout and got the work done as promptly as possible. Pete wants every customer to feel like family and will take the time to do his best to make this happen. Despite these difficult times Pete has always been there for this community, donating to more causes than I can count. So, if you want to do something to support your community, take your business to Pete's Auto/ Rocky Mountain Power Sports and keep your money local. Dennis had a project with our can..transmission was out and tons of other stuff needed fixing..it was in the thousands of dollars.Dennis literally performed a miracle and brought our van back from death..it runs like a dream..so thankful..thank you Dennis and the rest of the crew..highly recommended ..good job guys!

Pete's Auto in Rock Springs delivered 100% Satisfaction in short order & a fair price. Whereas, I first had gone to Rock Springs Auto, wasted 11 days there for a problem Pete's diagnosed in 30 minutes. Not only that, within 3 short hours, Dennis, shop manager, located a replacement part and had it overnight delivered. That is Service !!!!!!

Pete helped me out in a pinch during a cross-country road trip. I stopped to rest in Rock Springs and heard unfamiliar sounds near my engine. Not knowing anything about cars, I was unsure if I should continue. Pete was able to see me right away. He reassured me that the sounds were not indicative of a major problem, and it was safe to proceed. He didn't charge me for his time, although he certainly could have. Pete's a good guy, and he has my recommendation.

This guy worked on my elderly Dad's pickup. Told him one price and ended up being $400 more than he quoted. No extra parts just much more in labor. We are both transporters and have been for 7 years. We get our rigs worked on all over the US.. and Rock Springs is by far the most expensive place in the US to get repair work done. As far as the rig being neglected...pure B.S. We put on average 130000 miles a year and are maintained as they should be. As far as bad CV joint seals go....Ive driven hundreds of thousands of miles with the CV joint runners with cracks in them....have yet have one to fail. This job at most, should have cost $750. He quoted $850...high but within reason. Instead it was almost $1200 and never said anything until the job was done. From now on, if any of our rigs are ever broke down in Rock Springs, we will trailer it back out of state and to a shop that isn't in an oilfield boomtown ripoff rate. I ran a repair shop for several years, and know exactly what repairs should cost. Just hope you never break down in Rock Springs...his competitors are just as bad...if not worse

We broke down right outside of Rock Springs driving to Fort Collins, CO at 3pm on a Friday. We searched for an autoshop to help us and Pete’s was open and willing to help. We got towed there and they replaced our alternator before they closed at 6pm and got us on our way for a very reasonable price! Dennis, the worker who was communicating everything to us about our car, even called the next day to make sure we made it home safely. Highly recommend Pete’s Auto!

I have used Pete's Auto Service a few times, and I must say they always do their best for me and have never had a problem. They communicate well, and are honest in the work they do. I would recommend them to anyone local or just passing through. Keep up the good work!

My 2001 Camry broke down while driving cross country from Iowa to Idaho and needed a mechanic fast. I checked out these Google Reviews and saw Pete's got high ratings and had my vehicle towed to their shop. Dennis at Pete's Auto stayed open late for us, bumped us to the top of the list and had our timing belt, water pump, pulley's, etc. replaced the next day all under the price we had expected. I wish they were in my town. They were kind, honest, fast, and very reasonable. I really appreciate everything they did for us. Don't hesitate to bring you're vehicle to Pete's.

stuck on the side of the road needing a $30 part and 20 minutes of their time they refused to see me or help and said they might be able to get me in 6 or 7 days from now. what a bunch of @@@@@. Don't waste your time with these clowns!

My daughter goes to the local CC college and her car broke down. I live out of town so we didn't know who to use to help get it repaired. We had her bring it here to be fixed and they did a great job, with a thorough inspection and fixed only what needed to be fixed and it was affordable.
