I want to start this off by saying I have no personal gain by speaking Ill of pep boys with that being said Once again I bring my vehicle to this location to get my vehicle serviced and yet again the service was incomplete I came for a multitude of things one of which was an oil change just for The short statured woman with glasses who works the front to try and gaslight me by saying that I never mentioned it which I didn’t notice until a week or so later . As I’m talking to this woman she starts to get irate , and starts trying to get personal as she started saying “it’s always something with you” when in reality it seams to always be an issue with this specific woman and it always seams to boil down to whether or not she remembers what you say you need done. This woman has Terrible customer service you would have thought she was accustomed to working somewhere like a McDonald’s drive through definitely not chic fil a There’s has been no improvement since the last time I left a review This woman has effectively contributed to excess wear and tear on my engine all due to negligence . This is the first place I’ve ever left a review for that should tell you extremely unprofessional the woman working the desk is I asked her to have patience with me for the excuses and blatant lies that came out of her mouth weren’t making sense and that “I may just be missing something “ when I said that she made a nasty face as if I was the dumb one for not believing her non logical statements. I tried to be understanding the first time but no more she should be retrained on how to communicate to customers in business or really needs to work somewhere else.

I came early for a state inspection and oil change Emmanuel was very friendly and helped me get in and out the door. I finished checking out with Ken and Jannie they were so full of energy and made me laugh. Ken was telling me about his famous meatloaf. I can’t say I like getting car maintenance done but these 3 made the process worth getting out of bed at 7 in the morning. I appreciate every one of them. (Sorry if I misspelled anyone’s name)

I had a fantastic experience at Pep Boys! Emanuel and Ken were manning the desks when I came in for my 8:30 appointment, and they both provided excellent service. Emanuel, in particular, took great care of me—he was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure everything went smoothly. Despite being busy, they kept things moving efficiently. My appointment wrapped up around 10:30. The professionalism and attention to detail were much appreciated. I’ll definitely be returning for future service needs!

I would strongly advise caution when considering Pep Boys for any automotive services, particularly oil changes. I had a very disappointing experience where the workers stripped my oil pan during the service and took no responsibility for their actions. This lack of accountability raises serious concerns about their professionalism and trustworthiness. It’s disheartening to see such unethical practices in a service provider. I will not be returning to Pep Boys again.

Ken and the team at this pep boys helped me out big time! I blew an ignition coil coming up 95 on my way to NJ and thanks to them I was able to get back on the road about 6 hours earlier than I anticipated! Ken went thru the diagnostic with me and gave me a fair price on the work I would need to make a safe trip back home and the technicians were diligent and efficient in getting the work done. The definition of honesty and hard work! Thanks again fellas!

Was unexpectedly stranded due to a tire issue in Richmond. The Fleet Management Company sent me to Pep Boys. What a great experience with Ken at Pep Boys. They got me squared away quickly and efficiently. Great customer service. I definitely recommend them.

By far one of the BEST experiences I’ve had when dealing with an Auto Shop. EVERYONE was friendly, not just one or two employees and Emmanuel & Jamie are very knowledgeable, making me feel like a part of the PB family as well as a student eager to learn about my vehicle. I walked away with the peace of mind in knowing that what I asked and paid for, I was getting (nothing more, nothing less) as well as prices that are actually VERY reasonable. I was informed of options to help pay for my repairs and really feel well taken care of. I end this with a SINCERE THANK YOU to everyone involved in helping make this experience as wholesome and effective as possible. Great Job PepBoys but especially great job to my Tech who helped stopped the noise Conor the Corolla was making and Jamie for helping me feel 10x more comfortable with the experience as well as the great information shared with me about payment options but more importantly (only because he set the tone) thank you to Emmanuel for setting up a successful Alley-Hoop of amazing customer service for your team! You all certainly have a repeat customer in me AND I’m running to spread the good news! Take your car to PepBoys on Midlothian Turnpike in RVA!!!!

This store is very unprofessional. I took my car in for a simple inspection and oil change. They first called me with the required items to get authorization. 2 hours later they called me again saying that they won't be able to pass me for inspection because I need my whole high beam replaced. They were able to price out the high beam since they conveniently have an auto store next to them but I refused their services because this was not told to me up front and because they always gauge their prices ( a lesson I learned last year). I decided to get this fixed on my own but saw that they did not even indicate which high beam needed replacement on the receipt. I called the store back, and they didn't have any notes on which part needed replacement and told me to call back on friday when the guy who did the inspection was in. I waited a whole week to get a part number just to find out that the guy who did the inspection doesn't even know what part and that I could bring the car in again and they could tell me the part. The rejection sticker is good for 15 days, after that I have to get it re-inspected. I have no idea how long this part is going to take to come in and we are even coming up on the holidays. On top of that I asked them to check my tires because my tire pressure light was on, they said they checked it but when I went to turn on my car the light was still on. the receptionist GUESSED that there must be a malfunction. they didn't even bother figuring it out or telling me about it when they had my car FOR THE WHOLE DAY! This is just completely unprofessional and inconsiderate service. you are honestly better going to a mom pop shop since pep boys like to gauge prices and labor. the same wheel they sold me last year, i could've bought at a momo pop shop for $500.00 less, but thats on me because i didnt see through their dishonest service. Ridiculous ! Avoid at all costs and will never recommend this place to anyone !

Emanuel was great! He took care of my tire replacement and handled all the customers coming in in a timely fashion. I was impressed with the way he handled each customer and the phone calls seeing that he was working the desk by himself.

Such a wonderful experience! They were able to get me in within 24 hours and fixed me right up. I had torn up my tire from a pot hole and they fixed it in no time. Ken even made sure to call around and get my brake pads on the same day so I wouldn't have to miss work the next day. Truly the best service!!!!

Worked with Emmanuel, he was great! Very helpful with the whole process of getting new brakes, rotors, calipers, and a new wheel bearing. I would definitely come back to this Pep Boys!
