Avoid Pep Boys at All Costs! I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with my sister’s recent experience at Pep Boys. She called ahead to get a price for replacing both front struts and end links. The person on the phone quoted her $258, which seemed reasonable since she already had the parts ready. The representative pressured her to make an appointment, which she did after confirming with me. Fast forward to the appointment: she arrives only to be quoted a completely different price, even though she had a set appointment and the service was arranged in advance. This is completely unprofessional. If you quote a price over the phone, that price should be honored—period. My sister even took time off work to get this repair done, and they wasted her time and added unnecessary stress. The quote jumped to $571. I don’t believe the price can magically jump $313 after being quoted $258 ON THE PHONE. Mind you i told my sister exactly what to say and what service she wanted done. I can’t help but feel they may have been trying to take advantage of her, which is unacceptable. This experience shows a blatant lack of respect for customers and their time. If you’re a female, I’d advise you to avoid this shop entirely, as this kind of behavior is shady and reeks of untrustworthiness. I will never return to Pep Boys, and I suggest others think twice before wasting their time here. Completely unprofessional and disappointing service.

I went to Pep Boys last week to see if there was a hole in my tire, and if so, to have it patched. I was told by them that there was indeed a hole, but that they could not patch it and that I would need to purchase a new one there. I took it to another tire store to compare prices and they told me that there was not a hole in my tire and that I did not need a new one. Very disappointed in the way they do business.

Disappointed in our visit. Was told an oil change would take 1 hr. During the assessment, they recommended wiper blades which I was told would take an additional 5 mins. I was notified electronically that my car was ready 45 minutes from the start. But that was not the case. Work was yet to be completed (oil not replaced yet and wiper blades to be installed). No updates were provided as to why it took a total an additional 45 mins to complete the service (total time was 1:45 minutes). Will not be a return customer.

Had a terrible experience at this location specifically with the assistant manager, David I believe his name was and Hallie who was the repair person I believe. I only Needed brake pads swapped, and they come back and say after looking at my car, I Need rotors calipers, and all of these things I did not ask for. It was $789 and when I told them I did not want them to do the work and pull the car. They took about a half an hour to do so after recording me five minutes. And Hallie, the technician came up to me and said that I needed to have all of this done immediately and it was a danger to everyone else in the public do not sign up for my responsibilities And passing extreme judgment on me for not wanting to spend $789 which by the way I went to precision tune directly after and had it fixed for $168. I would avoid this place plus those two individuals like they have the plague. Interested to see what Pep Boys corporate will do, but I’m not hopeful based on the level of training and customer service I received at that location.

They were over an hour fixing my tire, then I drove off with a check engine issue and they charged me again to get it fixed when I brought my car back. Would not recommend.

Didn't even look at my car for 2 hours after my appointment time; this is apparently standard operating procedure. The folks working were friendly, but it shouldn't take 3 hours for a tire patch when I've made an appointment.

Horrible customer service. They have taken more trips to get food than they have assisted customers. The wait times are ridiculously high and they couldn’t care less…because they have horrible customer service. These people come to work to do everything BUT work. Take your car somewhere, anywhere, else!

We saw the only Pep Girl in the shop and had a great experience. Hallie fixed a busted vapor canister for me and did a great job. She adjusted my tire pressure while I was there and checked my undercarriage for loose parts to try and help identify the source of a noise that I hear only when it rains and made some suggestions. I’ve gone to other shops and seen other mechanics who I feel like are only trying to screw me out of my money but she did exactly what was needed and ONLY what was needed. Will go back to her for sure.

Absolutely unbelievably awful behavior. Came in. Was told they could look at it. Said it might take a "little while". That "little while" ended up being nearly 2 hours, for them to finally tell me "ACTUALLY we can't look at your car today." No good explanation given as to what changed, nor even the slightest apology for the tremendous waste of my day spent here. I will NOT be back to this trashy establishment, and I will encourage everyone I know to go somewhere that will actually respect their customers and their time. Also beware they are definitely engaging in some review manipulation on here as mentioned by other comments. AVOID.

I got to my appointment for an oil change and tire rotation at 12:30 and it was 3:30 before I left. That is unacceptable. The only one who seemed to care about people’s time was the gentleman in the front. The techs were very slow and standing around a lot doing nothing.

Phillip was very nice he checked all 4 of my tires and he let me know exactly the ones that needed to be replaced. The other guys did great they had me in and out.

Their tint sensor for NC state inspection is miscalibrated. Wasted my time x2 and money x40 doing my inspection here beacuse of "illegal tint," which is in reality not illegal. Staff there are not deserving of my ire, of course, they're probably doing the best they can with the equipment they have. I hope this reviews spares one person my experience.

This Pep Boys location destroyed our car, and their corporate headquarters did not care about it. In April, we dropped our car at this location. They announced a price for fixing it. A week later, they multiplied the repair price by ten and started working on it without our consent to the new price. When we said no, they abandoned the work and became entirely mute to our requests. We finally got the car back and brought it to another mechanic we trusted, and after his diagnosis, the car was dead. I know the story sounds a little crazy, and it is, but we are the victims. Avoid them. Avoid Pep Boys.

Called ahead for a 3 o’clock appointment. Got there 10 minutes early waited two hours and 45 minutes. No one ever told me it would take this long walked up to the girl asked when my truck will be ready. They said it’ll be done today but no ETA which probably meant 730 so I left. Do not recommend doing business here.

Made an 11am appt got here 10 min early. Wasn’t seen for 3.5 hours. People came in without appts and was seen before me. Staff to busy walking around gossiping to get any work done. They didn’t complete my brakes and rotors until they closed. In addition the price was also high af was charged 1200 before tax for front and back brakes n rotors.. im not a car person but seems alittle steep. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Def will not be back.

No one anywhere to be found in the lobby. I waited around a little while and didn’t see anyone so I left. I was just looking to get an oil change. I take that When I was headed back to my car to leave. I did see a guy in the back bay area sitting on his phone.

Unfortunately I had to pick at least 1 star when it deserves zero. I made an appt for 2:30 and they did not even pull my car in until 3:45. When I first got here I was told it would be pulled right in. There was someone there with a 3 o clock appt for the same thing (oil change and tire rotation) who arrived after me and she left by 4pm. I was not out of there until 4:51pm. Got in the car, steering wheel was oily, no one put any protective papers down, all of the staff were sitting around on tires one car at a time in the garage. Had to wait for a service writer to come and check me out even when my car was done. They sat at the desks eating, talking to friends who came in, and texting on their phones.

We got towed here very late the I day with two blown tires. Will and his staff were very professional and courteous and got us back in the road in under an hour. Even our tow truck driver said this is the shop to trust!
