Work was done fine but a little sloppy! Have nice chrome rims on the vehicle and by the time they were done, they were quite messy and not cleaned up like the way they came in!

I came here for a vehicle inspection and would definitely come back for all of my automotive needs! Debbie really went above and beyond to assist me. She was extremely patient and efficient in assisting me with a time consuming issue. Antonio was also very friendly and helpful. These two exhibit integrity and excellent customer service skills. Don't remember the managers name but she was helpful and friendly. Had a mix up with Tirerack and another Pep Boys location and she was super understanding and made everything turn out smoothly. That being said, the tech that mounted the new tires left my wheels and tires ABSOLUTELY covered in the mounting paste. So much so that driving home it complete coated my wheel wells and started running across my fenders and rear quarters. So unnecessary and just lazy and incompetent. If that is the level of give a damn they have about that menial a job then I can only imagine how they handle larger jobs. Luckily it was only tires and I have no actual need to ever pay them another visit.

Took my car to have warning lite examined. Turned out I had a bad tire sensor causing the tire lite to stay on. The mechanic did a good job of fixing the problem. Took only less than hour. Great job. Thanks to Manager Debbie to get me in for short stay.

9/11/24 at the Pep Boys on Main Street in Mesa. I’ve had my car serviced at this location before with only good things to say except for on this particular day. The associates at the store totally mis-diagnosed the problem with my car and flat out lied to me. I took my car in to be serviced for an ABS brake light that was coming on intermittently. I also asked for her to give it an overall tuneup and check all the fluids because I was preparing for a long road trip. I dropped the car off in the morning and later in the afternoon I called to check the status to see what they found. Debbie told me that her technician had taken my vehicle out on two separate occasions, but cannot get the ABS brake light to come on. She stated that her mechanic even took it out on the 202 and drove it for a while and could not get the ABS brake light to come on. I thought that was very strange because this light had been coming on intermittently for the last week. When I returned to the store that afternoon, Debbie was gone for the day and another gentleman was at the front desk. I stated my name and my vehicle and then I was ready to pick up my car. The man at the desk stated that the vehicle was making a strange noise when backing up and diagnostic should be done on the water pump because it may be going out. Now granted… I am not a mechanic, but I know well enough that a water pump doesn’t typically make noise when it goes out. There was no signs of any leaking or thing that I noticed at home in my driveway. When I asked him about the ABS light, he didn’t seem to know what I was talking about. That was the main reason why I brought the vehicle to the shop. I also asked about all the fluids and asked him if they were all topped off and he said yes. Another bold face lie! I left the store and proceeded to drive down the road when not even 1 mile down the road the ABS brake light came back on. I turned the car around and drove it back to the store to show the person at the desk. When I got to the store, I left the car running the ABS and brake lights were still on. I went into the store and told him that the ABS and brake lights were on and that I believed his mechanic did not do a thorough job and questioned him on how this could be if the mechanic had taken it out on two separate occasions and it would not come on. He explained to me that all the mechanics were gone at this time, it was 5 PM and asked me if I wanted to schedule another appointment.I refused. I told him that not only do I believe that they didn’t look at the ABS brake lights, but also that their staff flat out lied to me saying that they ran the vehicle and could not get the break light to come one. They completely misdiagnosed the problem by stating it was a water pump that was going out. A few days later, I took my vehicle into brakes plus and the brake fluid was almost empty and my back brake pads were worn to a level four. Brakes plus was able to fix my car replace the back brake pads and resurface the rotors. I have not been so disgusted with a mechanic shop in my life. I will never go to your store again. I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau to report this incident. Sincerely a very unsatisfied customer.

I was able to get an appointment so fast for an a/c check. The a/c check was done in less than an hour. They found no leaks and it only needed freon. Nice to know you're not being taken advantage of. It was a great Friday :)
