After sitting for more than eight years, I brought my '74 Camaro in for an inspection and brakes; an independent shop had informed me the brake system replacement would cost "more than the car was worth," and a quote of more than $2K. I need this car to roll, drive, and stop. For a price less than quoted, I received the skills of their (IMHO) most experienced mechanic, a complete brake system replacement (from master cylinder to disks), fuel system cleaning, fluid change (oil, PS, transmission, and radiator), starter replacement, and friendly, professional, and honest answers to all my questions. He also fended off numerous offers to buy the car. When the Camaro was ready, I arrived later than promised, and it was no problem. I asked about tires; they didn't have what I wanted, and Jonathan told me where to find them. I was then offered the option to have them delivered to home or shop, and simply pay for the labor. When I paid the bill, it had a complete list of parts, labor, and repairs. I was also given a list of suggested parts (for further work, which I'll do), most of which I have already. Customer Service and Mechanical Repairs: EXCELLENT! Nice work, Pep Boys! Thank you SO much for bringing my Camaro back!

This location on Simmons does an outstanding job and the customer service is A+! Dirce and her staff are so pleasant! They did my brakes and rotors and I was in and out in only 1 hour. I had an emergency situation, in need of a battery installation. I called Pep Boys on Simmons and was greeted by Dirce! I told her the situation, she gave me an honest yet devastating answer (price wise) but also offered suggestions. I ended up getting a battery and coming in for the install right before closing time. She made sure she had a tech (Sunny) here to assist, and not only did the tech take care of my battery, but he checked my brakes and performed a courtesy inspection. All right before closing. Not one time did they rush me or anything. But they were pleasant and a joy to do business with. I’m happy I came here.

Service writer was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The technician completed the replacement of the brake pads and rotors in a very timely manner. I was back mobile and confident of my braking system within 2 hours.

Dirce was super helpful throughout the whole process! Fast, accurate diagnostics. Despite major work being needed, they had it handled in less than 48 hours. Pricey but worth it. Would recommend.
