Hit a pothole on a Sunday and blew my tire out. We checked with a bunch of tire shops, including the dealership and NOBODY had our size tire in stock! Decided to take a chance and call one last place, Pep Boys! They had the size we needed, and even though they were closing soon, decided to go ahead and get us in and put the tire on for us!! Cannot thank them enough for being so nice and accommodating! They have definitely earned a long time customer in us!!

Have had service on my 2010 Toyota Sequoia at this Pep Boys several times. Most recently a valve cover Gasket replacement. Always top notch repair work at very fair pricing. Just as importantly my experience has been that they never try to upsell for service not needed.

We were driving a rental from Michigan to Florida over Christmas Break. The check engine light came on. The rental place sent us to Pep Boys in Knoxville, who services their local fleet. They quickly got us back on the road after fixing the issue. For showing up at 5:00, we were impressed how accommodating and friendly they were!!! Thanks for saving our vacation!

I walked in on 11-4-24 and told justin that I thought it was the starter; but was told it was Not the starter. Pep boys had the audacity to charge Me $1,100.96 for the same issues that I experienced within a week of having it repaired! I called and spoke with brooke, who informed Me that the master tech would be there on Monday and I made an 0800 appointment. When I arrived, neither brooke nor justin were present, the staff acted oblivious. I had to approach them after being there for over an hour for an update, they didn’t have any updates. After two and a half hours, I was told that the starter was bad. The week prior I received the invoice that stated that the starter did not fail! I needed to have been given a brand new starter, complimentary, for My trouble; however, was charged for a re man starter, that only had a limited lifetime warranty! I was there a total of 3 and a half hours. This was Unacceptable and intolerable! I need to be refunded every penny, right now!

Joe and the team at this Pep Bots location are the BEST. Super friendly & helpful, always willing to go above & beyond for customers. Talk about fair pricing as well, which we can all use! No matter if you need a simple oil change or a full engine rebuild, there’s no other team in Knox that I’d trust with my car.

The car was fixed and the Avalon now rides like it was new with the new front bearings and rotors and front right steering knuckle. Thank you for finding the problems and fixing it right.

Took to the shop in West Knox, they messed up the alignment worse than it was and claimed I needed parts. Took it to the east Knox location and it was no problem.

Tried to charge me over $1800 for new rims and tried to tell me I was going to need 4 new tires cause I had AWD. Took it somewhere else, got the dents in my rims banged out and didn't need any new tires. Spent less than $300. Look somewhere else for rim and tire repair. They just try to sell you all new stuff and act like your stupid. I actually used to like Pep Boys. How stupid I was.

I brought my 4Runner in for new tires and alignment. I spoke to another guy at another location and he said he would match tire discount and I went to the market place location near cedar bluff by mistake. The guys there said they would do the same price , after the work was completed I pick it up and notice that the alignment was off so I had my wife take it to work to double check if she felt the same was when she got home that night she got a screw in one of the tires so I called and spoke to Brooke and she told me she couldn’t get me in till two days later or even 3 days , then she told me I didn’t have the road hazards on them . Now I see how they match the price they took everything of off. When I called corporate they said the regional would reach out to me and never heard from him. I took it to the pep boys in Farragut and Rob and Randy took care of me . I’ll never go back to market place location Brooke was a straight d*** and the two dudes should have been up front.

Service desk folks were friendly, but my car was an absolute mess when I picked it up. It had not been "cleaned and sanitized" as stated in the "your car is ready for pick up" text. I received.
