Scheduled my routine maintenance on a Sunday (my only day off), and was told upon arrival that the main mechanic is out and will be out for 2.5 weeks and so they can only perform minimal maintenance. I understand these things happen sometimes, but a heads up would’ve been courteous so I am not wasting my day off for nothing. It seems like the business was aware in advance that this mechanic would be out for weeks beforehand. It’s also strange that the whole business is inoperable if 1 person can’t come in. Also when I agreed to buy 4 new tires, they wouldn’t take remote payment which is really odd in 2024. Overall just not very respectful of my time

Soo busy i guess, cause they said i need appointment if not i was going to wait the whole day , i went in at 9am and told me was goin to be ready at 3/4ish pm.. i went in to the other pepboys at 45n and west rd just took 1 hour wait time much better over that location..

Took my car in for an alignment and about a week later my tire pressure sensor went out and my car started to pull to the right. When I took it back, I now needed my control arms replaced, tpms replaced and another alignment. Decided to take it to another shop to get another opinion and they also noticed a rear wheel bearing needed replacement and stated that the alignment was off as well. I work from home so I don’t drive much so it is disappointing to have to pay now MORE than I needed to, when all I needed was an alignment and my car was perfectly fine before taking it here.

See all the pictures of the store's interior posted above? Even a close-up picture of the store hours sign? Aisles of stuff pictured like anti-freeze, car polish, and motor oil for sale? Nope. Not here. Don't fall for any these pictures like I did, none of these pictures is a correct depiction of this place. Don't make my mistake of racing over to beat the door at closing time for a couple of quarts of motor oil. They don't even sell bottled motor oil, let alone operate the hours posted in their pic.

After waiting for :30 min at Discount Tires just to have some assess my tire rotation/ balance request and being told it would be another 1.5 hour to actually get my vehicle on service bay, I headed to Pep Boys. It took me approximately :45 min. to check in and out and a wealth of service information. Angel {front desk attendant) was very knowledgeable and informative.

Came here through a warranty partnership twice with the same check engine light. They turned off the check engine light instead of diagnosing the car and when we asked why they did that they said “isn’t that what you wanted me to do?” They told me to take it to the dealership.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade getting my brakes done on our vehicles. On my last visit, they called to tell me I need new rotors as they don’t turn them anymore. They wanted $700 for the new rotors. I told them no, as that is way too expensive. I went to Discount Inspection and Brakes, independently owned, and they did the same rotors for half the price. Icing on the cake PepBoys left the reservoir cap off the reservoir and when I went back the next day to ask them for the cap back, they said a manager would call me the next day after he reviews the cameras to make sure they took it off. No one has ever worked on my trucks brakes up until now so you are the only one that has ever touched it. I’m still waiting on the phone call back from the manager. I won’t hold my breathe.

Brought my car in for low tire pressure. They said they were having trouble with the wheel lock and they were scared to break it off. They stripped the wheel lock and one of the lug nuts on 8/13. Brought it back on 8/14 to the manager who told me his technician did not do this and I needed to leave. Called corporate and waiting on a response. Beware of this location!!!!

I had a flat tire that could not be fixed. I purchased replacement tires and made an appointment online. Two hours after dropping off my car at the appointment time, they called to say they did not have the tires in the store so I had to go pick up the car; they were unable to provide an ETA for the tires. After two days of no updates I called the main Pep Boys help line and they told me the tire order had been cancelled by the shop. I wasted two days not being able to drive to work due to their incompetence. To boot, the person working the desk was rude. I ended up going to Discount Tire, got the tires overnight, at a lower cost and with much friendlier service.

I'm not even gonna make a big review, it's a waste of my time. I've been to this location 3 times, 2 of those times were bad experiences. I'm about to was my hands with pep boys.
