Andrew, a tech advisor went up and beyond to provide customer service. He worked with me every step of the repairs. Everything thoroughly explained. This is was a perfect example of what customer service is in these days when when it is difficult to find. He should be a trainer and example for Pep Boys.

I highly recommend you go to another car repair place. They not only misdiagnosed my car but tried to charge me additional money for work they should have fixed. I called to make a complaint and the manager told me they could fix what the mechanic missed for an additional 900.00. He would give me a 30 % discount. I emailed the corporate office and still no reply from them. They fixed my check engine light codes but 2 hours later they came back on. Believe me 9 out of 10 times you will have to bring your car back because they didn't do a good job.

I had an awful experience at Pep Boys and will not be returning. I scheduled an appointment to drop off my car at 4 PM for tire alignment, rotation, balancing, and fuel injection services. Initially, I was quoted $362, which matched what I had researched on their website. However, an hour after I dropped off my car, I received a call saying they had “mistakenly” given me the wrong quote and that the price had increased to $400. When I reminded them of the original services and prices quoted, they claimed prices had “just increased” but eventually agreed to match the original quote. What made things worse was their lack of communication and delay. By 7:40 PM, I still hadn’t heard back, so I called for an update. I was told they had only just pulled my car in and hadn’t even started working on it. Their excuse was that they “got busy with other things,” which they repeated multiple times. If they were unable to complete the services, they should have been honest from the start instead of wasting my time. When I went to pick up my keys, the person who initially helped me seemed to be hiding in the back, avoiding the situation altogether. This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful of my time, and incredibly frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend Pep Boys to anyone looking for reliable or honest service.

Like the rest of El Paso my tire pressure warning light came on as soon as the temperature dropped. I put air in the tires but the light was still on. Pep Boys took care of it, checked out my tires and gave me some much needed advice about the accuracy of gas station air pressure gauges, all at no charge.

Worst experience ever. My car broke down on the way from San Antonio to L.A. in El Paso. Had my car towed here. (Big mistake) First off my online coupon wasnt honored for clutch service, for $599 - they gave me a number more like $2900 - then I offered to bring my own parts which will still have labor up to $1200, ok fine. (Deceptive practice and false advertising- offering $599 coupon online when it’s not honored) it’s Veterans Day weekend and I’m also a veteran and promised 20% off costs. Cool. So I provide parts and agree to fly back to L.A. and come back in a week. I call them up a day before asking if it I’ll be ready by Thursday and they said yes, no problem but said sorry, Veterans Day deal passed and can’t honor that anymore even though I brought my car in at that time. So yo make matters worse, I take off work, and book a flight today to go get my car when I receive a call while I’m in the air, a voicemail from Pep Boys saying the mechanic called in and it won’t be ready today. Joe I gotta take another day off work, get a hotel. I mean how angry would you be if this happened to you? I’m a veteran and the 20% discount should still be applied . I will be escalating these issues further….

Just a quick review of thanks for an employee named Andrew Giner, who initially worked at the Dyer location before moving to the North Mesa location. He helped my dad out at the Dyer Street store a few months ago and was so friendly, my pops actually mentioned it at dinner that night. Two weeks ago, my friend and I had a flat tire on a Sunday morning, were barely able to roll into the Pep Boys North Mesa location, and that same employee, Andrew Giner, was friendly, accommodating, and made us feel at ease. Customer service used to be an art, and it often seems to be dying a slow death, particularly in El Paso; however, Mr. Giner is the epitome of a good representative for his company, and I really couldn't be more appreciative.

They don’t work with after market rims. Note, my rims are no bigger than a regular stock trucks. I understand if they can’t but they waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to tell me that. Horrible service.

Horrible service. Went for a state Inspection and asked how long the wait, he ignored my question and continued the process, after 40 mins he comes back and tells me the Inspection guy is not there. Definitely not coming back.

I recently had a terrible experience at this particular store. I had called days before I had taken my truck to ask about pricing for a wheel alignment on my suv. I was told it would be about $100 dollars and the wheel alignment inspection would be free. I took it in over the past weekend to get the wheel alignment done and when I went back to pick it up. The wheel alignment was not done and the service advisor gave me a full report/quote of all the issues on my suv. Totaling to $2k. I kindly declined the services and asked for the wheel alignment only but the advisor kept insisting on getting the other parts because he said the wheel alignment was not going to fix my issue. Since that was the case I declined all services. which at that point I was being charged nearly $100 for the inspection. I told him that I agreed to pay for a wheel alignment and not an inspection. He insisted that I agreed to it and that I was never told the inspection was free when I was told that over the phone before taking it in. He also pushed it in my face that I signed for it but I clearly remember signing when I told him I needed the alignment and his handwriting was very poor to where I couldn’t even understand what he wrote down. After going back and forth with him he threatened to call the cops which is why I ended up paying but this was very misleading and I feel like this advisor Robert Lozoya pulled this on me because he felt like I wasted their time and because I declined the additional services that he recommended. Sorry that you guys didn’t get your expected commission on this one but I went in there for a wheel alignment and that is what I requested from the beginning, As a customer that should’ve been respected and Robert shouldn’t have taken it upon himself to do a full inspection and he should have acknowledged the fact that I was misinformed by one of his staff members about the inspection being free but regardless I did not agree to pay for an inspection I AGREED TO PAY FOR WHEEL ALIGNMENT so the one that committed theft and that should have had the cops called on them was pepboys on MESA.

Excellence plays an important role in our daily lives, these day's and we are all looking for Value. I had a couple of quotes from other repair facilities, but Pep Boys offered a better time frame. Having brought my own part for my AC, the price for the installation was a little steep, but I needed the work done, for traveling across the state in the Summer heat. I reluctantly paid for it, trying to convince myself that there is a book that states labor charges, and to evac and refill the AC, but this took a chunk out of my budget, and would have used the outrageous amount for some more services. Definitely a Game Changer, for future visits, unless I get the quote in writing, of which none was offered. Beware, they do great work, and fast, but it will cost you a fortune to get it done.
