Booked an appointment for 10:30 for an oil change and to tire pressure check. I didn’t leave until more than 3 hours later. They were running behind, which in turn caused me to miss an important business meeting. The appointment was worthless. There were other issues and I do not plan on returning.

Worst customer service experience. The point of setting up an appointment is to ensure that your car will be serviced at the appointed time. Rick, whom I spoke with to set up the appointment stated that my car will be serviced much later upon arrival. Rick promised to call me when the car was ready for pick up. He did not. I arrived an hour later, paid for the service and to top off the incompetence, he forgot to hand me my keys.

I needed my tires changed early on a Sunday morning and they helped me immediately when I came in at 9am! Very pleased with the service.

Chris was my technician and he was incredible. Got my a great deal on the new tires i needed installed, helped me with my battery recharge and replaced my air filter for a lot less and a lot faster than i thought. Really was a 6/5 experience and I’ll only go to him moving forward.

Edited: After my bad experience, Rick, one of the managers reached out and corrected what wasn't complete. They were able to get me in and out in a timely manner (like the first great experience I had and why I wanted to come back to this location). I am happy with the services and will continue to come back to this location. Thank you, Pep Boys! I had the worst experience and have requested to speak to a customer service rep about it and no one has contacted me despite emails saying they would and have passed along the info. Wait times long. Office disorganized. Didn’t complete service requests from appt reservation, was told they didn’t have the equipment for one of my services (even though they didn’t mention that at drop off) . Waited almost 30 minutes to get my keys at pickup because everything was so disorganized.

Do not give this place your business. Wasted 3 days without any communication on repairs required. When I picked up the car to take it to a different shop someone had taken everything out of the center console. Clearly they were rummaging through the car looking for stuff to steal.

The Pep Boys at Lemmon Ave in Dallas continues to underwhelm in its professionalism and customer service. I was the only customer in rhe place on a rainy afternoon. I walked in, and there was apparently a ceiling leak from the rain and the entire floor- from the front of the store to rhe waiting area was covered in water ! Apparently there's no mop in the place- the counter employee was sitting there on his phone making zero effort to clean the place up. HONESTLY, the store should have been closed. But it remained open- with just one guy working in the garage too. Still took too long...and I'm a easy going Jeep driver. Then, when checking out, for the second straight visit to this location, the checkout employee refused to accept my competitors coupon...apples to apples for a full synthetic oil change. I even showed him Pep Boy's policy on the website. Pretty poor showing for Lemmon Ave.

The worst experience of my life. Rude, incompetent, horrible customer service, they will ask you to tell them what’s wrong not the other way around. I give this place a fat 0. Never will I ever make the mistake of even touching a pep boys

When my car was returned things were out of place and I notice some items were stolen. They kept my car for a day and and a half and didn’t tell me they were done with it until I called. They claimed nothing was wrong with my car when I picked it up yet I’m still having the same battery issues and if there was nothing wrong with the battery why did it take a day and a half to get the car back? Don’t recommend going here.

Had flat, drove into their shop at 8am it is 1130am I'm still here, back story they didn't have tire in stock. Pfffft- this store on lemon Ave. They shouldn't even get a one star

I am struggling to comprehend how a company can operate with such inefficiency. I placed an order for a tire with the understanding that payment would be made upon delivery. Following my order, I received an email confirmation along with an order number. However, contacting customer service proved to be exceedingly difficult. When I finally managed to speak with a representative, I was informed that the tire was en route and was expected to be delivered within a few days. A week later, I received two emails indicating that my tire had arrived and that I had eight days to come and complete the payment; otherwise, my order would be canceled. I visited the store the day after receiving the email, on a Wednesday, and was instructed to leave my rim so that the tire could be mounted by Friday. So I left it. On Friday, I attempted to call for an update, but I was placed on hold by two different representatives, both of whom ultimately hung up the call after they went to looking to see if my tire was mounted yet. As a result, I decided to go to the store in person, given it was so close. Upon arrival, I was informed that my tire had never been delivered and, in fact, was out of stock. This situation is highly suspicious. How is it possible for the company to provide information indicating that my tire was on the way, followed by an email confirming its delivery, only to later assert that the tire does not exist? Literally, can someone explain this to me?! I am left with the impression that either there was misinformation relayed to me by 3 employees on 3 separate occasions, or my tire was sold to another customer. I was extremely frustrated by the time wasted while awaiting a tire that was never available. Consequently, I had to visit Discount Tire and purchase two tires since the specific size I had originally sought was not available, forcing me to settle for an alternative size. This experience resulted in a loss of two weeks of my time and an unexpected financial burden due to the purchase of two tires, which was not freakn cheap! Pep Boys really missed the mark to say the least. I just can’t believe they fumbled even the simplest tasks. It’s was such a crappy experience that has left me determined never to recommend them, even if it’s the last option available!

I had a really positive experience the first time I used Pep Boys. Staff was friendly and I was able to track progress on their website. The second time I dropped my car off for an oil change at 10am. The website tracking showed nothing. I called the office and no one answered. I came back at 2:30pm and the staff had not started working on my car. They said they could do it while I wait but couldn’t tell me how long that would take, which seems strange since they work on cars as their job. I would not recommend Pep Boys due to this inconsistency and inconvenience.

He quickly diagnosed the issue with my car and took the time to explain the problem and the necessary repairs in a clear and straightforward manner. His transparency and honesty were greatly appreciated, and he didn’t try to upsell unnecessary services. Went in to buy tires. Guy doesn’t engage at all. After several minutes he says 800 out the door normally it would be 1000. Didn’t ask me what I wanted or needed. Despite their advertising a special.

Huge shoutout to Rick at the Lemmon St. Pep Boys! This man is a lifesaver. I was stranded this morning with a flat tire, no spare, and Lyft completely messed me over on their roadside assistance promise. I was in a tough spot, and a new tire was way more than I could afford. Rick went above and beyond, showing incredible compassion and understanding. He got me back on the road with a brand new tire, and I am so grateful for his kindness and generosity. If you're ever in a bind and need help, Rick is the guy to see!

I brought my car in with a flat. Simple tire change right? No. 3 days of them saying they don't have regular tires for my regular car. Telling me it's somehow my fault for not wanting to pay an extra +100$ for 'better tires' they do have and like they're doing me a favor by ordering tires. Its a tire store.

Made an appointment that wasn’t honored. Then I was told to return the following morning at 8 AM to get my stuff done in 30 minutes, which ended up taking an hour and a half. I got the car back and the tire signal on my dashboard was not cleared, and my hood was left open when my car was returned. Awful service.

Rick at the Lemmon Dallas store is my hero! He saved yesterday when he was slammed with customers. He was amazing to me and the clients he had in late on a Sunday. He was so professional, happy and amazing with everyone dealing with car issues!! Got it all Fixed and was ready thus morning! I will be back and thank you sooo much RICK! I am beyond appreciative

Dropped my car off with the manager on Monday morning at 10am for a tire change and rotation, and was told it might take a while but I didn’t need my car for the day and wasn’t going to be in the area by the time they closed, so we agreed I’d come back for it in the morning. Tuesday morning I see it still hasn’t been finished, so I called and was told that he was supposed to have called me the day before to get approval to order what I needed. He never called, but I was frustrated because this means I wouldn’t have my car that day and I had to take a Lyft everywhere including work since we already lost a day waiting for my approval. Letrees is who I spoke with and as helpful as she was, when I called today to find that the tire still wasn’t there I had enough and eventually went to go pick it up. Three days for a tire rotation is absurd enough, but the lack of transparency and communication on top of negligence of the manager left a really bad taste in my mouth. Letrees went above and beyond and you can tell she is so happy to do what she does and cares about customers a lot, if my car had been ready today I do believe she would have been the reason my opinion could have been changed, unfortunately under this management I don’t see a reason to go here over the discount tire that is cheaper down the street.

I made an appointment and took my car in because the engine hood was stuck. They told me to come back in five hours for my car…30 hours later they still had not called and quoted me a price to fix it, so I got my car back and left. Just save yourself some time and go somewhere else.

I took my car in early before my appointment planning on leaving it ahead of time. They were able to service it and complete it before the appointment time!!! They were upfront with the price, and it was more reasonable than other places. The front counter service was excellent. I was VERY pleased with the work done. Will definitely go back.

Very poor professionalism from this car service shop... The whole experience was simply disappointing and frustrating! Came down in person mid week to explain the issue I was having and book an appointment, surprisingly they had no records of my scheduling until I showed at the appointment time, first thing in the morning, 8am. Explained the issue in detail, a humming noise and vibration on the steering, which should be an easy problem to spot and fix, told me they should have the car ready by the end of the day. By 4pm I got a call saying they couldn't understand what the issue was as they couldn't identify the issue, so asked if I could be there to drive them around to show the issue, adding that the mechanic would be off by 4.30pm. Naturally I couldn't get there in 30min and ended up picking up the car later in the day without anything done to it! Waste of time, waste to money back and forth, total disrespect on life adjustments for a weekday! What a poor service!!!
