UPDATE: Did horrible work. I believe the did replace or didn’t do the brake jobs correctly. 2 weeks later breaks are squeaky And a little bit of grinding. Brand new brakes in my Rear brakes were supposed to be good for another 30,000 miles. Even on that day they charged to Rotate my tires and they were gonna give me the vehicle without doing so I had to remind them. I think integrity may be an issue here Love they are open on Sundays. Always awesome service. A little pricey but I’ve never had bad work come from them. Would recommend and I do go back.

I had a family member visit this location a little while back for mechanical car repair. The technician made some suggestions for what parts are in need of replacement and my family agreed to certain parts to be replaced. Upon checkout my family member noticed and additional part that was installed without consent and demanded to have original part installed or price waved for installation of part that was not authorized. The mechanic threatened to have a mechanics lean placed on the car if the part in question is not paid for. My family member demanded to speak to a supervisor and mechanic refused. My family member paid reluctantly fearing impact of the car being held would cause for work. After exhausting all local efforts we are needing corporate intervention before seeking legal counsel for possible action in court.

Better than Firestone who would not give complimentary brake check instead lie say they have to check for$10 then they go look all over your car claiming you need this when I told them just brake job & master cylindet,train staff to say your getting a diagnostic look worth $100 ,never asked too much bs when you get a strait feedback @ pep boys

I use tboz location for tires and what not. Jist recently replace my negative cable on my car. I thought due to its issues it may have damaged my alternator. Took it in today for them to look at. I was 99% sure it was the alternator. They did a test of my battery and all connections. Wasn't the alternator, and they only charged me $17 to find the lose connection and tightnen it. Theu are very honest. Highly recommend this location.

Ordered tires online for my father in law which were on a promotion. Scheduled to have them installed here. Showed up for the appointment only to be told they don’t have the tires. Waited for about another week went back and they told me they didn’t have the tires nor did they know when they were going to receive them. Called customer support and was told that it shows on their system that the store received the tires. They called the store for me to make sure and while I was on hold just hung up on me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING TO BUY TIRES HERE. You’re better off buying them through Walmart or Discount Tire as I’ve never had any issues with them.

Do not take you car here. Neither they have skillful mechanics nor they give you right service. They did my engine diagnostics and quote me for an alternator which I replace a month ago. Scammers. Worst Service.

I always had high expectations of this place but not until yesterday Sunday 12/15 2024 I took my truck to have my oil changed it turns out that the very professionals broke the plug where the burnt oil comes out and the only help or resolution they told me was that they are not to blame if I took my truck without any damage today it leaks oil they did not perform the oil change and the cost for said repair is over $ 600 all because of inexperienced mechanics who pretend to be professionals and are not in fact I am seeking legal help because this cannot continue to arise with this type of business and not because of the amount I have to pay but because of the following clients who trust these people when they are irresponsible

Bought new battery from this store and asked them to install it. Price with installation was supposed to be $285. By the time I left the counter person had jacked the price up to $350. She added in cable clamps at $17 each plus installing them each. She also added a couple of warranties which I didn't need since we are selling the car soon. I've read other reviews which indicate this pumping up the cost of repairs once you're committed at this store. I'll never go their again!

Horrible service! We had our tires shipped to this location went Sunday they had a hard finding the tires decided to just reschedule appointment after trying to figure everything out for 45 minutes, even though we called and verified everything was good to go before arriving. Come Friday it took them almost 4 hours to change 4 tires. Customer service is a zero!

I wanted to get an oil change at the Pep Boys 2992 Forest Ln location in Dallas. Firstly I was misguided and secondly overcharged for a simple oil change. Third issue, I got a recommendation to change all my tires (wear and tear) and was given a quote, but I was charged for tire rotation without my consent. The rep was very cold and insensitive, and of course very unhelpful. Checkout was extremely confusing and took forever! NOT RECOMMENDED!

I was driving alone and caught a flat 1 hour away from home. It was 6:45 pm, the nearest open tire shop was Pep Boys, 8 min away. Thankfully they closed at 8 pm. I walked in to an empty store (one other patron) and wasn’t greeted. The attendant at the desk was Buji. He didn’t acknowledge me at all, just stood and typed at a computer. About 5 mins passed, I asked if I could get assistance with my tire. He responded, “not tonight, tomorrow”. I told him my tire was completely flat, if someone could at least help me put on the spare. He still said no, his technician had to finish working on something else. I couldn’t believe how rude he was for first not acknowledging me and second refusing to help me. I arrived an hour before closing. I walked back to my car and David the other technician kindly helped me, it only took him 7 minutes to place my spare. I’m so thankful for kind people in the world. However, I will never give Pep Boys my business from this experience. As a young lady, I was scared and helpless and unfortunately denied service.

11/2/2024 2992 Forest Lane Dallas, TX Location I requested an oil change, transmission fluid exchange and ABS sensor. I was told to come back the following weekend for the ABS sensor and transmission service because this mechanic was on vacation. Hence, I only received the oil change. I never recived any update nor asked to approve any other service(s). To my SURPRISE, I was told my bill was $222. I asked for what????? A TPMS sensor (that I never requested nor approved). I stood at the bay door the entire time. The ONLY service that was performed was an oil change. I have since filed a complaint with Pep Boys head office and a dispute with my bank. I was forced to pay the bill in order to get my car. Last time I go to Pep Boys.

I used to get great service at this Pep Boys location. I made an appointment to get my oil changed yesterday. From the time I arrived to the time I checked out was 2 hours. That is too long for having made an appointment. The man that checked me out acted like he couldn't care less! What happened to Veronica? She was a great customer service manager.

I'm still experiencing the same issues w/my Van. Granted this is the 3rd. time that, PepBoys charges me for Engine diagnosis over a 100 dollars each time. And can't find or pinpoint what the problem is w/the van.

Was set up by them to have a tow pickup. INFRONT TOWING was scheduled to pick me up at 7:50. The estimated arrival changed more than 10 times, eventually landing on 11am. When I called the Tow company, they were very rude on the phone, didn't seem to care, offered no solution and hung up on me mid sentence. It eventually got switched to another tow company who promptly picked me up. INFRONT TOWING never arrived. I called them again to voice my displeasure and was hung up on again. By the time I was finally picked up by a different tow company, I had sat on the side of the busy city highway for over 4 hours. When I arrived at Pep Boys, I let them know what happened. I was offered no apology, given no sympathy and wasn't made a priority. My tire change was put behind all the other jobs, even though I was supposed to arrive 3 hours earlier. I originally didn't think Pep Boys had anything to do with this mess, because I booked the tow through a third party, but today I received a survey this morning to rate their towing service I had yesterday. Which the survey failed to load anyway on my phone. Just fail after fail after fail. From the moment I received the flat to the moment I was finally driving away with new tires, it had been 7 hours.

I had my serpentine belt burned out due to AC compressor malfunction thereby pulley wheel getting locked. The belt was melted on pulley wheel and was requiring so much of work. Got my car towed to Pep Boys. They got my car repaired within 2 days. They fixed it great. I drove my car to Florida 4 days after I got my car repaired. No issues at all. Thank you so much Pep Boys.

I should have checked the ratings on here before booking with Pep Boys on Forest. My check engine light came on so I called and booked with them as it’s close to my house. Worst decision ever. The told me that the wrong air filter was installed and as a result the mass air flow sensor was contaminated and would need replaced along with and a new air filter of course. The cost… $999. I said absolutely not. I said no because the air filter was just swapped out by a different shop 5 days prior so I wasn’t going to pay for this massive repair because the wrong filter was installed. Come to find out, the sensor doesn’t need replaced at all. One guy I talked to over the phone was great when I called to make the original appointment but everything after that, unacceptable business practices. Also take note that the summary provided doesn’t equal the $999 total I was verbally quoted either. I’m assuming labor charges makes up the rest. Ultimately I have no idea how this Pep Boys is still in business but I absolutely will not ever step foot in there again.

Very rude lady in store told me to go around back to have them put my spare on omce I got aroumd back serive guys acted like they didnt know what to do one guy acted like he couldnt hear me the other guy just says he doesnt know even after I told him the lady inside told me to tell them that im getting a spare tire changed lazy an incompetent workers mad for no reason. The one worker who did speak doesnt speak english at all very nonchalant atittude like I owed them something idk what their deal was but very weird exchange of energies the rudeness was unmatched they should probably go back to their countries if they are going to continue to be rude for no reason!

I went to this place for service brake for my Mercedes they did and after that my brakes made noise I called them they didn’t call me back, I asked them to check my engine filter they said engine filter is clean but I found it was crazy dirty, thank you for this very bad experience

Worst service ever, I wish I hade option to rate minus. I had appointment at 2:00 pm for oil change (should take 15-20 minutes to complete). It’s not completed till 5:00 pm. Seriously 3 hours for simple oil change that too with an appointment?????? They have to understand, we are not free waiting for their leisure service. We book the appointment so that we don’t have to wait. Very disappointed, not going to pep boys for any service.
