My Girlfriend and I experienced a nail in our tire 10 minutes till close and Xavier was more than glad to stay a bit later to help us while even comping the fix for us. All in all wonderful service and we will for sure keep this location in mind for vehicle problems.

1 star for wasted time. I made a 930am appointment to change my brake pads at this location. I show up on time (915am) and am told they only do full brake and rotor change here and I was turned away. My morning plans were wasted on Pep Boys 👎🏾

Ok! I've come to this Pepboys for years and had more than a fair share of disappointing moments with everything from bad break service to my oil cap left in the window well for almost a year. But for the first time in forever! (Yeah the song is being sung) I received customer service worthy of five stars. I had a slow leak with my rear ps tire. Dreading I have to purchase a new tire, because every time I came back to them I'm told 'the leak is in the corner of the wheel and we can't patch that part, so you need a new tire!' 🙄. Just when I mentioned to the gentleman at the front desk. He asked for the key and took the car to check it. Twenty minutes later he came back and handed me the keys "You're Good!" Me! (Completely Dumbfounded) looked and said " Huh? How much?" He repeated "You're good!" I thanked him for his help. And headed on my way. I've done customer service for years and treated everyone with a friendly and respectful attitude. Making sure they're situations we're taken care of as best as possible. I must say this is the first time I've felt like there was someone out there in the car repair business that treated me the way I treated others. Helpful, respectful, and willing to go above and beyond without trying to sell sell sell. Did not get the repairman name. But I still want to thanks him for not charging me for something as simple as a slow leak These 5 stars are for you!

Robert was the person that took my information at the front desk he was so professional, and tanner looked at my car and gave a honest assessment! I went to a few folks to get opinions because that what I do and he was the only truthful person out of 3 I’d recommend coming here 🙌🏽

as per usual my experience was met with outstanding results. Made an appointment was met with and checked in and dropped the vehicle off for service. I did call for an update however the attendant followed up and gave me an update. The team seem to work together, and the result was a completed vehicle by close of business,

Called roadside service to have a spare changed since I had no tools, this guy came in basketball shorts and flip flops, with minimal tools, couldn’t even get the step out. Said he was going home and coming right back, then a few minutes after that I get a call from the office saying the job was completed and I was being charged full amount. Ridiculous man

Xavier did an amazing job, him and his team are pleasant and professional, had a nice conversation with him, he’s about service and establishing a relationship with his customer. I happen to be out of town here in Charlotte as I live in Raleigh and it was beyond my expectation for a last minute need, highly recommend coming here.

Customer service was so poor I left before allowing them to work on my car. Rick the manager treated me as an inconvenience. He was huffing and puffing while my dad and I discussed what services we would purchase. I heard him do this to another woman on the phone while he was helping me. I also noticed he wanted to charge another person that walked in $10 more for the same oil change as me. That person left. When I confronted Rick and told him I was uncomfortable and had never experienced such poor customer service he provided excuses and dismissed my concerns saying “I apologize if you feel you were mistreated even though you were not. I have great customer reviews.” Not surprised to find out his customer service reviews are in alignment with what I experienced. What I will say is that he was fair with pricing and did not try and overcharge me or do unnecessary services. I thought he was kind and funny at first. If he can channel that kindness and humor while managing his frustration towards customers I think this business has great potential.

Came to buy tires and agree with other review that the customer service was so bad that I also left before my car could be worked on. I felt threatened by the customer service service advisor and was scared. Awful. He literally yelled GOD DAMNT at another worker while I was standing there. I will never go back there.

Called in to see if I would be able to get my cooling system looked at and the guy on the phone was nice but he told me to hold, didn’t mute himself and I could hear him clear as day ask the mechanic if the mechanic ‘felt like checking another AC today’. The mechanic says no so then the guy starts talking to me again and says that ‘unfortunately they are unable to do it today but have space tomorrow’. That is incredibly unprofessional. I looked online and there were TWO appointments available for AC check. Next time, either put yourself on mute so that the customer doesn’t know what you’re saying, or do your job and get the appointment made.

I definitely don't recommend this store. The person inside is behaving like I am wasting his time. First of all why would I waste my time visiting this store twice in a month and also why would I waste my money. My issue is I came to this store a month back to change my brake pads because i am getting some squeezing sound while applying brakes. They said they cannot do only the brake pads and said they also need to change rotors to avoid that sound which is understandable.and said ok. And I visited this store again because I am getting the same sound but this time not that frequently. He gave me a test drive twice but there was no sound. But while i headed back home and I am getting the sound again this time I recorded a video. But this time I don't want to visit this store again.

You need better technicians. The bald man tall man with a snagged tooth at the front is giving out HIGHLY incorrect info ask about an auxiliary battery saying he didn’t have his Mercedes guy there is didn’t not even look at my car and said well you shouldn’t be driving around with it on WELL NO SHERLOCK! that’s why I’m here and he told me to go to a Mercedes dealership! He couldn’t even call another pep boys location to see if they had a Mercedes tech elsewhere . I sure as did as he asked took my business elsewhere and I get there it wasn’t as urgent as he lied about. I could go another couple of months with it being replace ! Will not be returning here useless talentless embarrassing imbeciles representing the pep boys brand.

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED!! Make sure to do your research, says online they do a competitor price match. READ THE SMALL PRINT!! I arrived at the location with a competitor’s invoice and they said they cannot price match. Contacted customer service, took 4 voicemails and 5 phone calls for them to call me back 2 weeks later and tell me there is nothing they can do. Had plenty of excuses and said to read the small print online. Will never go back. $300 loss.

I was worried when I looked at the most recent reviews for this North Tryon location. I've been here before and had a good experience so there was no reason to think it had changed. I had all four tires replaced on my SUV. The customer service was great with the two technicians that helped me this week. They finished the job so fast that I was shocked. Now for the cons: -the bathroom was very dirty. There was even a ring in the toilet. They definitely need to go through there with some bleach and thoroughly clean it. It is not up to a clean standard for this type of establishment that services men and women -they need to improve the overall cleanliness of the waiting room, glass windows and floors. There were smudges all over the windows. Dirt all over the floor. The TV kept going out because it had poor antenna service. Overall, It was a good experience but fellas, get a cleaning team in their ASAP! If you want people to continue to come here, fix it or folks are going to go to the other locations that are giving you all a run for your $$$
