I did not have a very good initial service for the money I paid to have hoses replaced, but I’m giving 4 stars because the store Manager, Jenn was very polite and very empathetic when she heard that the repair was not done correctly. They did fix it and she was very apologetic and handled the situation appropriately.

I have not purchased tires from them but have had trailer tires installed. The service is good and friendly staff. I will return to this Pep Boys location in the future.

DO NOT GO HERE! Tried to trick my brother into buying 4 new tires that would take several days to get there. He legit only needed a patch on a single tire. Told him the hole was too big. Discount Tire laughed and patched it in 20 minutes free of charge. Go here to waste money and get scammed!

I actually have comparison for Birmingham Pep Boys... If you have any care for customer service, price, truth tellers and for locations that honor their own Pep Boys warranty, PLEASE do yourself a huge favor and use this location! After calling the Homewood location (because it's closer to me) for a battery that was struggling to crank less than 5 months of purchase, the horrible assistant manager at Homewood, who had absolutely NO idea of how to access her own computer when presented with a work order, phone number, name, address, and all pertinent info to honor their 3 year warranty, I had the pleasure of calling THIS location on Montclair Rd. I was taken care of IMMEDIATELY!!! Brian was absolutely wonderful! Talk about taking care of his customer right away. He also kept his word in the estimated wait time. I would have like for it to be sooner but he said under an hour, and that is what it was. What great employees here! He assigned my car to D'Angelo. He was amazing too. Explaining and answering my questions... Just terrific! I already have a low trust level for mechanics so this location has restored my faith that there are some great people out here! Thanks gentlemen!!

I had a screw in one of my tires. Was quick in and out and they treated my little repair as if it was just as important as a new set of tires. Will use these folks again.

In a try need when my son was broken down in Birmingham at the airport with problems I contacted Pep Boys close to the airport in Irondale and met a young lady by the name of Jennifer. Jennifer took the time show compassion, care and concern and make sure that my son was taken care of in a prompt and efficient manner. Thank you Jennifer for a great experience. I will recommend Pep Boys to all my friends and family.

Definitely 5 Star service! Pulled into Pep Boys with a nail in our tire at 6:30 pm this evening. Jen behind the counter and Tommy in the service bay stayed late to fix the tire. A+ for customer service and A+ for professionalism. I will take my other car to them next week for its regular service.

I dropped my car off and even left it with them a full day because I needed my tires rotated and my regular mechanic doesn’t do tire rotations, but I also have breaks squeaking and was pretty sure I needed new brake pads. I was handed an “inspection report” that gave no details about the brake inspection beyond “needs attention.” When I called to try to get information about what specifically needs to be addressed and how, I had someone tell me to read the report they sent me. When I said the report didn’t specify what repair needs to be made he said he’d have to pull the paper report from their drawer to look. Long story short he wouldn’t do it and proceeded to tell me I must need new brakes (I do not, just brake pads) and gave me absolutely no useful information at all. Tire engineers is cheaper and has better service in my experience, or just stick with your local mechanic. I’m having to take mine back to my local mechanic to get them to work on it.

overtorqued lug nuts !! I asked them more than 3 Times to torque lug nuts to specific ft/lbs specified by toyota .97 ft/ lbs . I was assured they would be hand torqued . They printed on the work order that they were torqued to 115 ft/lbs RUINING THE ALUMINUM RIMS . Thank you Jennifer at Irondale pepboys for ruining my aluminum stock 20 inch rims on my 2012 SEQUOIA. Next time i purchase new tires i will remove all wheels and have new tires ONLY mounted and balanced . Then Remount wheels my self or watch a mechanic hand torque them .

Bryan and Jen are knowledgeable and caring managers who have taken care of me on severval occasions now. They share with me the best options for my vehicle and point me to discounts when they are available. They both are quite profession and helpful. Promote them and give then both a raise!

The people that spoke what was nice and encouraging and they did an excellent job and they kept me informed for everything they had to do and they got my permission before they did anything. I’d give a Zero. I had long day after being stranded in a parking lot for most of the day. Towed to the nearest facility with a tire. Which took most of the day. This was the shop I was referred to. Stay AWAY. I can only recap my experience. I gave them my car. I locked the door. They were only supposed to put new tires on. They were closing. So I had to leave it over night. I picked it up the next day. Thought all was in order. I did notice they left my car unlocked when I approached. Just thought they rushed with the clean up. Things were spilled on the pavement from the inside. Which come to find out I had items stolen from it. After speaking with the manager, I find out leave your car unlocked over night without adequate cameras. They don’t care much for details for protecting your property, doubt their work is much different.

I dropped off my vehicle at 12:30 for a 2pm appointment. Later that day, I noticed my vehicle wasn't listed as "done" at 5. Eventually, I came back at 6:25pm, thinking I was surely just a glitch with the website and push notifications. When I arrived, I noticed my vehicle had been moved, so I figured I was correct. Nope! The person working there said the work wasn't completed, and couldn't really offer an answer as to when it would be done, stating, "we're working on it.". I asked what work had been completed and payed only for the work that was done and left. Never using them again.

I have been mostly very pleased with Pep Boys in the Eastwood area of Birmingham. They have put on several sets of Tires Rack purchased tires on three of my family's automobiles and they have done a good job of that. I have had to take a couple of alignment jobs back for a redo though. However, they made things right with no complaints. Reasonable prices, nice waiting area, good WiFi and clean restroom too!

My experience at Pep Boys on August 14, 2024 in Eastwood Mall was nothing short of excellent service! The team members Brian and Jennifer were able to take care of my car needs in a tip-top, professional way. They called me to inform me of changes as well as delays to getting my car serviced. I felt easy knowing that this team would come through. They did just that! I have dealt with the two of them before regarding car maintenance and the results always prove to be favorable......A "win-win" in every way!

I needed the compressor on my car replaced so called for estimate. Jennifer was very helpful and friendly. I set an appointment to drop car off at 9 am and even though was told it could potentially not be ready till next day it was ready by 2:30 . Price was slightly higher than originally quoted but overall I was quite happy with my whole experience.

There’s a reason that I drive across town to get my car serviced here. Definitely feels more like a mom and pop store in the sense that everything is professional and friendly, but they care about helping you. Jen was the person that took care of my car maintenance. She was so knowledgeable and friendly which made the experience even better!
