I recently took my daughter’s car to Pep Boys (DOWNTOWN) to have her brakes changed, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The team was incredibly informative, explaining everything clearly without trying to upsell unnecessary services. They worked quickly and efficiently, getting the job done in no time. It was refreshing to deal with a shop that’s honest, professional, and focused on great service rather than pressure tactics.

DANIEL WAS WONDERFUL. I WAS IN BAKERSFIELD FOR AN EVENT WHEN I CAME OUT I HAD A FLAT TIRE. CALLED AAA AND THEY CAME AND PUT MY SPARE ON. WE CALLED AROUND AND FOUND THAT ONLY PEP BOYS WAS OPEN TO 6PM. IT WAS AFTER 5 WHEN AAA FINISHED. WE GOT TO PEP BOYS ABOUT 5:25. DANIEL ASKED ME WHAT I NEEDED. I TOLD HIM A TIRE REPAIR. THEY HAD ANOTHER CUSTOMER THERE THEY WERE WORKING ON. BUT THAT WAS DONE QUICKLY. THEY PUT MY CAR IN THE BAY AND QUICKLY DID THE REPAIRE OF MY TIRE. THERE WAS A SCREW IN THE TIRE. DANIEL WAS WONDERFUL, HELPFUL PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PEP BOYS FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

I needed my brakes done. I was prepared for it to be a hassle but was pleasantly surprised when I called Pep Boys to make an appt and they were so helpful. Other places were not! Got to my appt early and they jumped right on it. They were very clear as to what my car needed, had it done in a couple hours and even helped me save money. Would highly recommend going to Pep Boys, thank you guys!

The team did great work. They treated me well and i feel very confident about the work they did on my family vehicle. I will have a sense of peace now that my family vehicle had the right pros do good work on my vehicle. The prices were great. Thanks to Marc and Daniel for explaining to me what I wanted to know.

I am giving a 2-star rating because the service provided on the vehicle was great, but the customer service skills left much to be desired. I ordered some tires to have them installed at this location and made sure to order the correct size according to the manufacturer. When the appointment time came, Ben tried to upsell us for two different tires that were not the ones I ordered. I then had to call to make sure the ones I ordered were the ones being installed and no other fees would be associated than the ones already paid for. I wouldn't come back to this place.

I had a great experience at Pep Boys. The day after Christmas, my alternator went out on me before a 5 hour drive. I was able to get quick service, a fair price, and a friendly experience. The General Manager Ben went above and beyond in his service and I would recommend this location to anyone with car trouble.

It was almost closing on Sunday and I noticed how bare my tires were, I came down here as a Hail Mary and Daniel was amazing he took me in and got me all taken care, super appreciative of him!

Woke up to a dead battery on a Sunday. After jump starting it, I found my usual battery store closed until Monday, as were several others. I saw a Pep Boys open, stopped, and asked if they sold/installed batteries (I have an Infiniti Q60 - tricky to install a battery in one of those). They said sure. Had to wait for their tech that day to get back from lunch, but, was in and out with no problems. They certainly saved me a lot of aggravation on a day when everyone else seemed to be closed.

Ever time I have been there, everyone has always been kind and they are always willing to explain everything to me in terms I understand. Daniel (I think that's his name) is usually who I have seen that last few times I visited and he has been friendly every time!

Ben and Daniel are amazing! Ben helped me when I got my tires put on and put me at ease when my lug studs broke saying that sometimes they just get cross threaded or are old and they break. Daniel helped me today to get my wheel alignment and oil change done. Service was fast and very friendly! Thank you guys so much!

I got an alignment at this location on 9/4/24. I would not recommend getting an alignment here, because the employees drive the cars recklessly during test drives. I have a device on my car that limits the boost the turbo can build. The level is set above what normal driving would require. The car was attempted to be driven above that level, which shows the tech attempted to go fast in the car. I don’t appreciate techs taking my car for a joy ride when I drop it off for service. I notified the service person and they didn’t care. Unprofessional.
