Our car broke down on us unexpectedly while in Atlanta for work and Daniel and the team at Pep Boys were able to get us fixed up and on the road the same day! Being from out of town we were super thankful for their quick turnaround and transparency about what all needed to be repaired to get us home safely!

This is the second time I visited Pep Boy piedmont and the experience were awesome both time. Danny was being very helpful and took my car in even though it was very close to closing time after i explained to him my car situation. He was patient, knowledgeable and walked through the process and delivered the results - will definitely be coming back for all car issues.

Ask for Joe! He’s a welcoming professional who cares about both his clients and his crew. He and this location’s whole crew give it to you straight and do everything in their power to save you as much money as possible whilst ensuring your car is roadworthy. I moved down from NYC at the end of ‘23 having never owned or needed to fix a car in my life. Joe and the boys have saved my wife’s road salt-addled little 2010 Camry from the junk heap countless times, saving us from having to get a new car and all the inflated interest that comes with it. And of course, the free coffee is an excellent perk!

Great Staff, although wait time was long !!! at the last minute as well. Thank you Daniel for making my mid night disaster better !- Updated Once Daniel had left everything slowed down. I was suppose to be out the store at 7pm why am I still here at 7:40PM. Will never be coming here again. I also voiced my concern of making my job on time, I entered at 6:08, it is 7:38 and I still have not gotten my key back for my simple one tire change.

I have bought several tires from this place and they never last! Bought a tire in Oct it went out in January! All the other tires on my car I had no issues but I didn’t buy them here! This place is a fraud and scam. They up charge on services and lie about prices and they pocket returns I am almost certain! Please don’t buy anything from this place they are sneaky and slimy business

First of all car problems are the worst, we can all agree but the gentlemen who i believe is the owner or boss is so levelheaded. He answers questions and gets stuff done while dealing with extremely difficult customers. He knocked out my emergency flat tire towards the end of day and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Horrible experience with this location. Took a week long and 5 follow up calls for a simple diagnostic and estimate. They never called me back and I always had to call daily to be told to wait till the next day. Update: I took my car to CarMax for a diagnostic/service. They had determined my car engine light issue to be chewed up wiring by rodents, sent me photo evidence, and quoted me $435 for service and diagnostic. Pepboys on the other hand quoted me $4,500 to replace my entire transmission along with $100 for a diagnostic. STAY AWAY from this location if you value a trustworthy auto mechanic.

Update Jan 2025: same amazing service but one minor thing: I requested my fluids to be checked and filled twice at check in and they weren’t. They also didn’t go over the inspection with me. Maybe it’s in my paperwork but I also couldn’t find it there. I will keep coming back to this place. This was my 5th service with them in 2.5 years. (2024) The service and communication at this spot are fantastic. Everyone is really thorough. They took me outside to see the leaks in my tires visually before patching to make sure I understood what was going on. Really appreciate how straightforward and efficient the services are. The managers and staff are really nice.

I made a reservation for Dec 1, 2024 12:00 PM. The computer system was failing so I left the minivan Dec 1, 2024 3 PM. The manager Marcus Braynon called me on Dec 2, 2024. He was pleasant and professional. The thermostat was replaced. The service manager stated I needed a head gasket. What do I know? I said OK. The bill came to $1600. I drove to Houston, TX. The car stopped on the interstate. I took car to AutoNation in Houston, TX. They found a hammer had been left in the engine compartment. The hammer broke the transmission case and the front axle was broken. Total charge to fix the minivan was $7100.00. Needless to say I am disappointed. I called the service manager Marcus Braynon on December 6 and explained the situation. I sent a video of the damage and the cost estimate. Today is December 13 and have not heard anything.

I took my car here last week for my brakes and the job they did was phenomenal. I've had my brakes changed before from another mechanic and the difference was like night and day. My car ran smoothly, no squeakiness from the start. The job was done quickly and I'd recommend them to anyone for their brakes service. (Too bad I don't live close to these guys or they'd be my go-to spot).

I was very surprised by the outstanding customer service and car maintenance I received when I brought my car in recently. I was an early morning walk-in with a bunch of car issues that hit all at once. It seemed like my car was experiencing a mid life crisis! I had felt like my dealership had just price gouged me quite a bit and after calling with no avail, I began looking for help elsewhere. Upon arriving at Pep Boys, they immediately greeted me warmly and asked how they could help. I told them all the check lights that came on, my charging docks went out, my headlight needed replacing, my windshield wiper broke off while driving in the rain, a tire had issues, among other things. I was very concerned about the price and only planned to get the most important one or two things fixed right away. They were able to do a diagnostic and fix all the issues that day for less than the dealership. They also found things the dealership said needed to be replaced were actually just fine and don’t need to be replaced at all. The car seems to have been given a new life. I was very pleased with the maintenance work done on my car and I will go back again.

Poor customer service. Poor communication. Charged for them holding my car for 24 hrs “trying to find diagnosis”. Did not even call me the next day to let me know the car was ready since they couldn’t find the problem.

Zero star. Absolutely don’t go over here. Scammer!! I had a horrible experience here. They are raggedy and unprofessional as hell. They said my car was ready for pickup. I paid the service fees of 285$, only to find out that they didn’t do any work on it. I experienced the same after test driving it for less than a mile. Went back and started acting confused and giving me attitude. They are very rude and don’t know a Damm thing about customers service. Don’t waste your time going to this place.
