Had my car worked on last summer to fix a coolant leak, this issue was fixed but immediately after my heat stopped working, so I took my car back and they told me that it was an issue caused by them fixing the leak and that I would have to pay more to fix it.

I had a great experience at Paul’s Car Care! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt confident about the work being done on my car. It’s rare to find such honest and reliable service these days. I take care of the maintenance and repairs on my grandparents car for them, last week it had started to idle rough and throwing lean code. On Monday I replaced the 02 sensors, MAF sensor, IAC sensor and TPS sensor and it did not smooth the rough idle so i took a chance and took the car to Pauls in Summerville on Tuesday morning. Brooks called me Wednesday morning to tell me the intake was leaking, i was hoping this wasn't the case as i had just replaced the intake myself 15k miles prior. Unfortunately I had ordered a Dorman intake from RockAuto and Brooks informed me that they are known to fail pretty quickly. So take note there if you are replacing an intake, do your research. I asked them to go ahead and make the repair and i was able to pick the car up by 5 pm that same day. An diagnosis and intake replacement in 48 hrs impressed me. The pricing was fair and the car is running as it should. They also replaced the O'Reillys TPS sensor i put in on Monday (with a motorcraft) because the one i bought wasn't communicating with the ECM properly. He did this without up charging for it, i very much appreciated that and the quick turnaround. I cannot speak on the other locations, but I will be referring Pauls at 1236 Central Ave in Summerville to anyone i hear needing help with their car.

My car wouldn't start and Auto Zone thought it might be the alternator so they suggested Paul's to get a diagnostic ran. From the beginning of our visit Brooks and Robby were delightful and so helpful. Once the test was ran it ended up being just the battery. They told us to run and get a new battery and they would get it replaced. This was about 12pm and they close at 1pm. We run and get a new battery but got the wrong one, so we went back and forth. Once we finally had the correct battery Robby replaced it within minutes. Brooks was such a blessing. I will absolutely return for any auto needs. Thank you Brooks and Robby.

This is the first mechanic I've been to since I've recently moved to the area, and I'm so grateful to have chosen this shop. I was experiencing some issues with my 2009 Toyota Yaris and I was unsure as to if it was my battery, the belt, or my alternator. I got stranded twice in the matter of a couple weeks, and it is not a great feeling. I've sent my car to a couple auto part stores for testing and they couldn't find anything wrong. I was lucky to have bumped into a gentleman that had a business card for the location and I was fortunate to have met Brooks, Robbie, and Ian today. They've replaced my battery terminal and made sure it was safe to get back on the road. Thank you guys so much ♥ I hope you guys have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You've just earned yourself a new reoccurring customer for your honest work ♥ I highly suggest going to these guys for car care!

Went there for a Pre-Purchase Inspection. They were very friendly, professional, and honest! Unfortunately I don’t live in the area, otherwise I probably would have made Paul’s Car Care Center my go-to mechanic!

Brooks is amazing. All the guys at Central Ave take great care of my car. I won't let any other mechanic touch my vehicle. Reasonably priced and know their stuff. If you have problems call Brooks he'll get you taken care of.

Disappointed in my previous post which was 5 stars. I went to Gerald’s to have my front brakes checked since they were making a ringing sound when braking. They told me that my rear brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced in addition to the front. Paul’s replaced them in February of this year. Gerald’s is charging me to replace my front and rear less than what Paul’s charged me to replace my rear brakes and rotors. Not sure what happened with Paul’s but it seems like I was over charged and the work may not have been done.

I had a battery replaced down the street at auto zone and my car wouldn’t stay running so they sent me to Paul’s. Not only did they fix that issue but I asked about making an appointment for my brakes (because the parking lot was full and the lifts) and the fit me in that day! A few hours and my car was back on the road!! The guys were very nice and knowledgeable. Definitely gained another customer here!!!

I left a review a few months ago at the Walterboro shop location. The mechanic was fired for false claiming of putting parts on my wife’s car. Went back and fourth for months and finally the issue was resolved 4k $ later. Same issue is present and Mike had us take it to Summerville SC the “better” shop. Needless to say my wife’s car check engine light VSA and trac light are still on meanwhile my wife hydroplaned today with our 3 kids in car. We took it originally for AC repair and ever since we have had issues like no other. Took it by last week and MIKE changes all the same parts for free under warranty and mentions it’s a tire sensor that has the lights on meanwhile they can’t respond nor does the invoice disclose what tire sensor it is nor would a tire sensor cause check engine light. They are not professional and I wouldn’t mess with any “Paul car care shop” we have to now get a lawyer because we have the messages and recordings stating the mechanic in Walterboro was screwing people and not actually replacing parts so they fired mechanic and John the manager. Sorry business they have cost me and my wife over 3k $ in parts that never resolved the Evap / trac and vsa check engine light. STAY FAR AWAY

I've visited Paul's Car Care Center on Central Ave in Summerville twice and they've done right by me each time. Both times I've called in the morning and been able to bring my car in, get it repaired, and have it back by closing time that same day.

BEWARE! Liars, high turnover, sloppy mechanics and management. Dishonest and incompetent work. The Walterboro team is a nightmare. They also fight amongst themselves in front of the customers.

First time customer, and I was so very impressed with the service. I was given an estimate and guess what? It was close. No haggling no unanswered questions. It was wonderful to feel like nothing was being held back or hidden. I will not hesitate to go back with any further car issues. Customer service and trusting, can't beat that.

My vehicle broke down and needing front end work and I was able to drop it off with them immediately and they had it done and ready to pick up the next day in better condition than it's been in years. They didn't try to sell me on anything that didn't need to be done and at a great price. I'll definitely go back to them.

Brooks was the best person, very reliable, and overall i would definitely come back just to say hey. As well as ian who had fingertips of gold and fixed my very broken car in an hour. I spent my whole savings here but it was a very good price and to be real i had a small savings… And i would do it again Love it here wooohooo im driving my car now and it works great sounds great and feels great

The folks at Paul's are always personable and professional: explaining what my car needs and why. They also told me, when I needed to consider other options - like getting another car, they were there for pre purchase inspection (hopefully to help me make a better choice). Good people.

We were in Summerville to visit our grandchildren for a few days when the cabin AC in our Dodge campervan went out. The local Dodge dealer was giving us about 2 weeks before we could SCHEDULE an appointment. We contacted Brooks at the 1236 Central Ave Location and explained our situation, and he told us to bring it in. Since it was a modified Dodge van with extras packed into the engine area, the mechanics had a few challenges in testing the system, before eventually installing a new compressor. Even though they spent extra time on this job due to it being a campervan, I was charged only the original estimate. Very felt that Brooks was very honest in his diagnosis, explanation and communication. Highly recommended.
