There’s no worse feeling than having your primary vehicle stopped working. In today’s economy is even hard to find an automobile repair shop that can be trusted and respected. Pacific Automotive not only did they fix my car, but they did it in a timely manner, explained everything that needed to be done. From the moment I called to the moment I picked up my vehicle. I was greeted with professional and friendly employees to include the owner. My favorite part is no hidden fees in my car is running better than it did before it broke down. As long as I’m gonna live here in Pacific Beach area or SoCal for that matter, this is not my new garage for any issues of my vehicle as I know, I can trust their technical expertise, their professionalism, friendly environment and I know they’re not gonna try and sell me on something that doesn’t need to be done. This is a shop that I would recommend to anybody in need of basic repair repairs to major repairs .

Highly recommend. Honest shop we took our car to for a second opinion. Original shop wanted to charge us $900 for an issue that didn’t exist. Pacific Automobile identified the issue that was a simple fix. So happy we came here for a second opinion

I had a great experience at Pacific Automotive. Not only do they treat you like family, John and the owner Ben we're so professional and explained to me what needed to be done on my Cadi. The best part is their pricing will blow anybody out of the water. I would highly recommend going to them. You will be very Satisfied. Tried to rip my mom off about her civic sent her home with a multi thousand dollar bill took it to my buddy mechanic and he laughed and said that car need less than half that work and that they are crooks do your research they pay people for 5 start ratings

Got at their shop with blinking battery light. Since my home address is 3 hours away from SD and even though they had several cars ahead of me, they pushed the order of an alternator which got delivered in less than an hour and installed it on my car just a few hours later. Not only they showed compassion for my despare, but also gave the greatest and fastest service I have ever seen. Part and labor together, such a great offer. 5 Stars for John at frontdesk. Great person giving the greatest customer service. High Five John and thank you so much.

The guys at the shop was very friendly and professional. Bernard was able to bring me in first thing in the morning and got me out before my work shift. I brought my car in because the AC was not working correctly. I thought it needed a recharge but the issue was less complicated and more cost efficient to fix. They completed the repair within the hour. They were also able to find a few more issues with the car that needed attention. John was able to get the quote out the same day. Highly recommend Pacific Automotive, these guys are quick, honest and professional!

Had a problem with my 1993 Chrysler Concord jerking and turning off and then would start up again. It was a mystery to solve but Pacific Automotive found it was a worn out crankshaft sensor. They are very professional and knowledgeable.

I went to a competitor Family Auto Service for an estimate and they were going to charge me over $4,000 vs 1,084 the amount from Pacific Automotive. Pacific Automotive helped save me so much money, were amazing to work with. I strongly suggest that you don’t go to a big chain and that you should go here for all your auto needs!!

Troublesome oil leak fixed! When my usual little mechanics shop saw my issue was a bit too big to handle, they personally dialed up the good folks at Pacific Automotive and they gladly took the job. Right away they were candid about the repair and gave an estimate and timeline. They called me several times to provide progress updates which I greatly appreciated. In no time I had my Honda Pilot back in great shape and not only that, the repair came in a few hundred dollars below estimate. Courteous and professional. Would absolutely recommend.

I highly recommend taking your car here if you are in need of an experienced repair shop. They are very friendly, responsive, and do great work. I had my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee engine rebuilt and they did a phenomenal job. The vehicle runs great now! They also did some extras at cost because of the large repair business. This is my second time using them and they continue to impress.

They charged me $200 for advanced diagnostics and never gave me that. Brought in my vehicle because it failed smog. I had a budget of $8k to fix the issue. They instead fixed the second issue I was going to have them look at after it was able to pass smog. Once they fixed that they had it out on the curb saying we're done come get it. After looking at the paperwork I paid around $800 for nothing. The only diagnostics they did was check the codes to find out the air filter is dirty. That doesn't explain why it fails smog testing. I'll give them 3 stars because the work they did do came out okay so far. Even though when my vehicle left they're yard it suddenly developed a flat tire. I won't be coming back and I suggest others find somewhere in a better part of town. The shop is located in a drugged out homeless part of town. Also I didn't hear one employee referred to as a Mechanic, just technicians. Which means they don't have anyone on board to handle real engine work. Just overpriced component work.

After years of frustrations on finding a good car repair shop, FINALLY! Pacific Auto, Trade St. San Diego has been our repair shop for 10+ years. NICOLE - Receptionist/coordinator is a gem; accommodating, friendly, follows up to let customers know what the status is on repairs, when it will be finished, etc. NICOLE is a real pro! *** Owner Olivier, honest, competent, as his repair recommendations are 100% trustworthy, one can count on his decisions to be fair and straight forward, like Olivier's personality; a no-nonsense kind of guy. NOW COMES THE CLINCHER, we've never had to come back a 2nd time for the same repair... Which proves the staff is as good as the man who hires them 👍 You guys are ALL awesome! Bottom line, PACIFIC AUTO IS THE REAL DEAL!!!

WHY rate Pacific Automotive with the highest rating? Trustworthy, honest, integrity, quality and professional work! There are shops that may recommend work not needed or bill you for work not done. You can rest assured that Ben and the Pacific Automotive team will take care of you and your vehicle as family.

Brought my 1969 Alfa Romeo Spyder in for a much-needed alignment. They were spot on with their estimated repair time and price (made an appointment ahead of time). The car now drives like it is on rails. Love working with real professionals. Refreshing. Headed down with another car shortly.

Honest and thorough. I wasn't sure what I would hear about the condition of my 2005 Ford Escape. They walked me through what was needed and made me feel confident in their judgement. I feel confident driving my vehicle now and love all of the work they did bringing my car back from the edge. Sometimes you just need an honest team that understands you are putting your trust in them. The work was done in a very timely manner. The team was friendly and professional. I recommend giving them a visit and I will be bringing them more vehicles as I trust them.
