I have been going for oil and tires changes for couple years. I love the place, the owner Jim is always so friendly to me and my family. The mechanics are professional. Highly recommended this place to anyone.

Great shop! Jim and Robert were honest and good humored as they helped me with a car that had a lot of issues. They gave me solid advice and the work was prompt and reasonable. Thanks Otwell's, I'll be back!

I used to go here all the time, but I stopped going after they changed my oil and I found the oil fill cap sitting in the corner of my engine compartment several days later. I was lucky I didn't have oil splattered all over. I've heard stories of that happening when the cap was left off.

Worst service ever! Messed up my car and did not take accountability. I called just to ask if he could recheck the problem and he started screaming at me that he did nothing to my car. Then said he told me he was fixing something that HE DID NOT TELL ME about. I took my car for one simple thing but left with something additional messing up. He goes on to say, “I told you I was fixing this too.”Which he did not, because if he did, I would’ve told him that that has been broken on my car since the day I purchased it 5 years ago. I simply called being nice just to see if he could look at it again and would have paid if anything else was wrong, but apparently he knew he was guilty because he immediately started denying something I didn’t even accuse him of. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and was yelling at me from the top of his lungs! I am a woman. This was not called for. I wanted to take my car to the same person to avoid being scammed but apparently Jim is the scammer. Very poor business. To avoid any problems go elsewhere.

Bad business they change and look at different parts even if thats not what you wanted. Gave me bad parts for something i didnt even need . Shady!

I work about a mile from here. When I got off work, I noticed my undercarriage splash guard was dragging on the floor. I was scared to drive on the freeway with it dragging. It was about 5pm, every auto shop in the area was closing and I desperately went in after visiting 3 other places, and they were able to help me out. They pinned the dragging piece and replaced the plastic screws at no charge. The technician (tall, slender, caucasian man) noticed my tire pressure light was on and took the initiative to put air. Extremely kind and compassionate staff. I opted to tip him due to the service and level of professionalism in my time of desperation.

Was calling around to ask for quotes about a broken wheel stud/lug nut. When I went to call this business and ask how much the repair would cost the owner responded “I don’t know however long it takes me.” Super unprofessional, thank god I called first before wasting my time here.

Went in and nicely asked if they can take a look at a leak on my car. The man who was sitting in his chair not doing anything said he probably doesn’t have time to take a look today. Said to come back Monday. I went to another place and all I had to do was pop my hood and right away they told me what was wrong. I just think when you go to a mechanic the least they can is take a look. I would have 100% had them fix it if they had taken a look.

Solved my problem in a couple of hours, check engine light gone, Temperature no longer too high to drive. Jim is very friendly and helpful, waiting for me after business hours to pick up my Honda! Thanks a lot!

I reached out to a performance shop looking to upgrade my suspension system on my ‘06 Crown Vic LX. They recommended that I contact Otwell’s so I did. Jim Otwell to the time to research the parts and make recommendations on how to improve the suspension for my application. He did the work and I couldn’t be happier with the results!! I will be returning for additional work on my car!!

Be aware it seems like the owner of this company has a chip on his shoulder from the minute I walked in. I was just asking him some simple questions about my car and he was very vague and unfriendly to say the least. I have a feeling he was trying to rip me off and get his foot in the door by getting my car in there and getting a signature right away and blowing me off I would never use this company. Do your homework before you sign on the dotted line on this one.

Honestly, the worst experience I have ever had from any mechanic. Extremely unprofessional. Jim the owner is a complete scam artist...he will not back his work one bit. As soon as I pulled off the lot my truck broke down again. They told me to take it to the dealer..so I did and I ended up having to replace everything Otwell’s did so I went back to Otwell’s trying to get back at least my parts money because Otwell’s did not follow the correct procedure for fixing my truck..Jim would not back his work even though the problem was plain as day and it was his fault..do not go to this place...I’ve never experienced someone not backing the warranty. If I could give it zero stars I would..

Mr.Jim is honest and has integrity. It's fixed right the first time and in the off chance it's not, just call him and he will fix it! Ottwells is the only shop I'll let work on my vehicles besides myself. I'm not going anywhere else!
