This is definitely one of my favorite reviews to date. I had car issues and like any customer called around and I found O'Brien's Automotive. San Antonio, if you are in need of Great customer service, professional mechanics, and most important of all (especially for myself) Integrity!!!! This is the place to bring your vehicle!! Not only did I save money, but they kept me from wasting any unnecessary expenses. Thank you to Adolf who is definitely a Great asset to the Team!! Thank you again to everyone at O'Brien's Automotive, you now have a Life long customer.

I Took my 06 Silverado for second opinion from dealership. Adolf was very honest, and let me know what I really needed to get back on the road safely. Compared to dealership I was able to save a ton of money, and my truck is driving like it’s new! I found my new mechanic shop and i wont be going anywhere else. Great work and customer service!!

I have been a satisfied customer of O’Briens Automotive services for over 15 years. My entire family uses O’Briens for all our car repairs. We call it our family auto repair shop. O’Briens has excellent mechanics that will not stop until the problem is resolved. It’s a company that you can trust, and is always transparent about the cost so that there are no surprises. Anytime I’m asked if I know of any good mechanic shops in San Antonio, without hesitation I say “O’Briens”.

Its been about 2 years since I brought my car in and it took me this long to leave my review. Do not take your car to this place. I took my car in for a tube up...power steering pump...and front breaks...oil change...and a tire rotation and alignment. I spent 5k on the car. When I picked up the car I heard a slight humming noise coming from the front. And as I drove off...the car would steer with a hard right. The alignment was off. I was upset. My son is in the military and had to take off that afternoon so I could not bring the car back. I called the shop and the guy in the front desk answered. I told him what was going on with the car. He said he personally drove it on the highway and it did not steer to the right. He was lying. Because there is no way he could have not noticed that to say the car was fine when he drove it. I was furious. I told him the car was still making that noise. He said to bring it back. I couldn't...the car was on its way to Eagle pass. My son in law parked the car and had to take it to pep boys to align the car right. As time went on the car had to be parked because it was making that loud humming sound so we could not drive it. I spent 5k and my car is not drivable. Ford is going to diagnose my car...I will check to see if they changed the parts on my car...and see if the put the motor mounts I paid for. If you take your car to this place ..ask for your old parts to make sure they fix your car. UPDATE I HAVE MY RECEIPTS TO Prove I was there. You tell all your bad reviews that you have no records of any evidence of them being at your shop. Could it be that you destroy them? That's Ok I have my receipts. And when ford does their diagnosis I will then know if your shop even fixed my car. Because right now my car is not operating and on its way to ford. If you care about your shop...Do better.

My wife and I needed to get her breaks flushed, we called and were able to be seen right away. The price was good and the work was complete quickly. The coffee they had complementary was a great flavor. The great staff was able to laugh with my wife and I because I spilled my coffee on my lab and leather couch.

Nothing but problems after taking a 1998 Mercedes Benz ml320 in for repairs. I just don’t believe they can accurately repair foreign cars even though they tell you they can. I ended up paying more than 2k and the car still had the same problems. Mechanic is not all equipped for it. It’s sitting in my garage unable to drive it. I’ve cut my loses and will take it to Beldens, which in retrospect should have done to begin with. Want to get conned? Take it to Obrien’s.

I really was worried that I was going to get coned into paying for more than I take needed to have my car repaired. Total opposite. From the owner to the receptionist and the mechanics, they're were very helpful, courteous and honest. I felt assured that they would fix what needed to be fixed and in a timely manner. I would highly recommend to my friend and family!

Loved that they did the factory recommended 100,000 mile service for way better than the dealer. They were honest and did excellent work.

GREAT PLACE FOR INSPECTION! Truly done in less than 15 minutes from roll-in to roll-out! No extra fees, just $7.25 total. I had pulled into the inspection place across the street, which was supposed to be open, but wasn't, and one of the guys saw me and walked over and invited me to come over. I'm so glad he did!

More than a few months back I was able to bring my car in after failed attempts at my previous mechanic being able to repair and for this same reason I’m making this review. I decided to come here at O’briens after seeing a comercial. I’ll keep it brief . I had 2 problems 1 AC wasn’t cooling 2 my car jumped a few times when I would accelerate. I was told here at O’Briens I needed a complete AC change out I BELIVE about $2800. The second problem they said was my transmission and that I would need a transmission rebuilt being the car had over 100k miles on it already the recommended that so car can run smooth and like new. Well the price tag for a rebuilt transmission was around $6,500 if can rember correctly. It was too much for me to afford at the time so I went for a second opinion after I spoke to a friend. He recommended me someone . My car is now running great after repairing a Schrader valve which cost $15 dollars and repairing a coil ($89) that went bad had a misfire no transmission trouble whatsoever. Labor $150. Please get second opinions . I just want to bring awareness we all work very hard for our money and just want honesty. -Please No need for a response- *2016 Buick lacrosse* Quote was under my wife’s name.

My car experiences at O’Brien’s have been top-notch. I am impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, and thoroughness of the entire staff. The 1st time I took my car for an alignment, they fixed the issue and even went above and beyond by checking my battery which was testing bad/low. The 2nd time I took my car, they noticed another issue with my car which I wasn’t aware of. Overall, every time I bring my car, the mechanics and Julie have gone above and beyond and explained in detail what my car needs, so I wouldn’t have had any car issues in the future. If you see O’Brien’s always busy is for a reason. I can tell the owner and the entire staff genuinely care about their customers and aim to do a thorough and professional job, so our cars continue to run smoothly and so we have peace of mind and most importantly to save money. Thank you so much everyone for taking care of my car needs. I’m a customer for Life now.

I went to have an alternator put in ,however was informed there was nothing wrong with it ,they performed a diagnostic and re calibrated my radar system there wasn't anything wrong besides the radar I was extremely pleased with the work and customers service I highly recommend this shop!

If I could score a 0 stars I would. We took my son's car here for an engine oil leak repair. We wound up having to take it back 4 times, & they still didn't fix it correctly. We've called the owner with no response. We gave them plenty of time to do repairs correctly, and paid way too much out of pocket for the car to still be completely unusable. The final time we picked it up it not only still leaked oil, but it now has other engine problems. Avoid this place for major repairs at all costs. Nanette, the owner, replied to this review denying we even took it back more than twice. She's obviously not aware of what happens in her own shop.

Possibly the worst shop in San Antonio. I took my car in for a simple oil leak. I had to take it back 4 times, because every time they said it was fixed by the next day the car was leaking oil faster than before. The final time I picked it up not only was it still leaking oil, but the transmission is acting up now. This is a very low miles car by the way. Way less than 100,000 miles. The mechanics here are bordering on completely incompetent. I have reported them to the BBB as well as Carshield.

Very honest & reliable company! I dropped my 2017 ford fusion off due to it continuously dying for the past 7 months! Ryan ( i believe that is his name) took good care, provided excellent customer service, as well as remaining very patient! Did not take long for them to fix my car!! 1000000/10 recommend!!!
