I've been taking my car to Northern Liberties Auto Repair for the past two years. Richard, the owner and mechanic, is friendly and honest. It's a first-class auto repair shop. They do great work and return your car in a timely manner. Most importantly, the work is priced right. I definitely recommend Northern Liberties Auto Repair.

I LOVE THIS PLACE !! I am a girl in her 20s, new to philly and i feel like finding a mechanic is always a very frustrating experience to me. i found this place via co-workers recommendations and i am so glad i went! the person at the shop was SUPER nice which made it less intimidating and he explained everything very easy and clear for me to understand. i felt everything he said to me was very honest which i have so much trust on this place ! i had a flat tire and ended up needing to change all 4 tires. The price was VERY reasonable and I dropped my car in the morning when it was open and I got my car back in the early afternoon! this is one of the best car related experience i’ve ever had and i will be a costumer for this place till i move out of philly !!!!!!!

The guy who answers the phone and takes care of the front of the shop is very nice. Prices are reasonable, I would come back again for service.

Really great shop with really great people. I’ve been going for inspections and regular maintenance for about 4 years now and only once did I have to have any work done to pass inspection (which was an issue known by me). Richard is very honest and up front about the work being done and clear about costs ahead of time. They’re also really quick, sometimes I’m amazed by how soon they call me for pick up! I highly recommend for any car needs.

Richard is a god send don’t go anywhere else! Every woman knows how nerve wracking it can be to go to a mechanic but Richard is knowledgeable, honest, and so helpful. I know when I bring my car to his shop it’s in good hands.

I recently moved to Philly and needed to get an inspection done. Finding a new mechanic can always be a little nervewracking but I’m so glad I trusted the reviews! I brought my car in within 30 minutes of opening and my car was ready by early afternoon. I had a very pleasant experience and will definitely be coming back for all my car needs! So grateful there’s a kind, honest, and reliable mechanic so close to me

Having never had my car serviced in Philadelphia except for a dealer who charged WAYYY too much, I was hesitant to try a shop right in the city. But thankfully Richard is a total pro and all around great guy. He took care of my 2018 Jeep GC like it was his own and answered all of my questions. His pricing is extremely fair and he is so knowledgeable about what a car really needs and when. He doesn’t take appointments so get there right at 7am to get your car in- sometimes there is a line waiting for him when he arrives (a true test to a loyal customer base). Thank you Richard!

Went in for an inspection, Richard was able to get me in the next day after I called. Got the inspection done fast and had great communication. Ill bring my car to him for any future repairs I have.

Excellent—i just moved to Philly and needed an inspection. These folks identified a defect in one of the tires. Fixing this cured my Hondas long term vibration issue. A good experience all around. Thank-you

Highly recommend. We've been going to Richard for 4-5 years now for oil changes, inspection, and brake pad changes. He's honest, well-priced, and efficient. We will continue going to his shop for our auto repair needs!

I have used Northern Liberties Auto Repair for years. The owner is in my opinion a very honest guy, which is a rare quality to find in mechanics. They have helped me with many problems over the years, and are great to have in the Olde Kensington neighborhood.

I brought in some of my own materials/parts and owner charged me only for labor! But if you’re looking for ease they also have oil at the shop. Very friendly as well! Prices are just right. I also got my emissions and inspection done here!

Really nice people and great service. They've always done a great job with my car and the prices are reasonable. Just a tip though, they get really busy so you've got to come by in the morning before they fill up for the day.
