I had such a great experience here! they worked with me. I told them what I wanted. I never felt pressured to put on add- on. I have a son that has level three autism. They were so kind with him. I didn’t feel like he was bothering anybody. Irma went back and forced with me for a month trying to figure out the car that I wanted . Chris took over he didn’t push me towards anything. He got a great sense of humor !! It’s just was a very easy process. I was a person that said I’d never buy a new car!! I’m so happy I did. I love my car. I would definitely go there again and I’d recommend my family too as well.

I finally bought my dream car here; 4Runner! Robert & Eric who are part of the Internet Sales team were consistently personable, friendly, informative, honest, sincere, & MOST IMPORTANTLY, zero haggling & bullsh*tting. As 2 side notes: 1) Eric did exactly what he said he would WITHOUT issue. That's a game changer bc how many times do you go to a dealership & they blow smoke or make excuses as to why they're falling short on their promises or over-promised? 2) I also thoroughly enjoyed how friendly the other Sales team were while I waited. Unfortunately & to be honest in this review, I had issues with the Finance Manager (that almost led me to walk out). However the GM immediately stepped-in to hear my complaint & execute resolve. And for that, kudos to the GM for handling it quickly! For me, I felt like I got the best Toyota customer care which resulted in a happy purchase ... As long as they keep up this exceptional Toyota customer experience, I'll refer anyone who wants to buy a Toyota to this dealership - Thanks guys!

Do not get your car serviced at this location. I purchased my car from this location in 2021, which went okay at best. After moving back to the area in 2024, I have taken my car to be serviced here. The first time it took 3+ hours to just do a tire alignment (with a 7am appointment). The second time for an alignment and oil change it still took 2.5 hours with a 7 am appointment and being 3rd in line. Also trying to charge me $80 to change an air filter, give me a break. Always an awful experience. Will drive out of my way to go somewhere else next time.

Verbally told me $319 would be ny total and helped arrange for me to get home and told me I'd be able to be picked up the next day, he'd call when it's done and/or with any status updates. Not a single call or message or email after I left. I spent the next full day calling and leaving messages with no answer, only to find out it was Richard's day off and no one was going to ever follow up with me. I had to cancel an entire day of work for this. Then finally figure our it's ready, no one comes to grt me. I call again, guy is on break so he'll call me back soon. Another half hour and I getthere snd the charge is twice what I approved. Half an hour of them scrambling at the dealership and I left pissed off and mad. So incredibly unprofessional and 0 accountability. What a wreck. This place is usually good.

How to lose a customer: • To whom it may concern: I have been a loyal Toyota customer most of my driving career. Besides owning multiple Toyota/Lexus cars/SUVs this is my 4th Tundra (Paid over $70K for this one), 2 of which were purchased at Norm Reeves Toyota. I’m not an unreasonable person but my most recent trip to Norm Reeves service department made me questions their ethical business practices. • I had a sensor/warning light come on indicating that my front breaking/back up sensor was not working (truck is 1 year old). I brought it into the service department and after about 4 hours they came back and told me its not covered by the warranty. Of course I inquired as to why this was the case. They told me “it has a nick in the sensor” so it is considered damaged and not covered under warranty. If I would like to fix it the cost is $900+. They sent a picture but I was unable to see the damage due to the quality of the photo. When I picked up my truck I took a look and the “nick” on the front bumper was barely visible and required me to get right up to it within inches to see. This “nick” was smaller than the very sharp tip of a pencil (Picture included). Now, I have worked on my fair share of cars, personally replaced/rebuilt entire engines and while I’m not a mechanic I’m certainty not ignorant to how things work. To me this seems like they were trying to get out of fixing an issue that should be covered by the warranty. I will not be doing any more business with Norm Reeves Toyota! I sure hope a few hundred dollars was worth losing a loyal customer.

Was here for 6 hours while my truck got worked on and I requested a test drive because I wanna get a new truck and nobody helped me but they were just standing around or helping others that barely got there. Way to lose 2 sells in a day on a serious customer looking for 2 new trucks.

A month ago I bought a 2024 Tacoma, I paid a large down payment, when I left the lot I noticed that the AC wasn't working, I went back the next day to find out what was going on, I had to leave the truck there for a week, they gave me a rental car, after a week of waiting I decided that I didn't want that truck anymore, I went to the dealership and ended up trading the truck for another one, which was a good deal. The problem is that they sold me the repel coat, which I think cost me $1,200, I didn't want it, but they told me it was already installed, now a month later they called me to schedule an appointment to do it, which means they sold me something I didn't want, without it being installed, and now I'm going to have to miss a day of my work to drop the truck off for them to do it.

I was working with Eric for 1 day on getting a truck purchased. After both of us coming to an agreement. He back doored me and sold the truck to some one else. I should have known better when he said the truck yours I'm going to send paper work and the paper work never got sent. after he told me i had the truck i told my command i can RDT on Thursday in my POV so I didn't get lodging nor did they account for me on the ride. now I have no vehicle and its Monday. he told me he was going to fix this but so far everything he said was proven false. this is my experience here.

I would like to recognize the great customer service provided by our sales rep Christopher Knickerbocker. I was due for maintenance in my 2019 tacoma and I took it in for a basic tune up, i was looking for another vehicle to better accommodate my family. I checked in for service and also met with Chris at the sales floor. He explained me all the available options and different models, thoroughly he helped me in every step of the process with his knowledge and expertise ,we ended up getting a new fully loaded highlander to better accommodate with all the extra seating space. we are very happy with the new vehicle we purchased, and with the overall customer service experience received from Chris and all team members at Norm Reeves toyota San Diego. I never leave reviews but feel this was extremely warranted. I went to this dealership, where I have had my car serviced in the past, to have my front two tires replaced (as recommended by them). They informed me it would take about 2-2.5 hours to complete, and ended up taking over 4 hours. Based on the looks of it, they were not busy at all. There was one car in front of me when I dropped it off and none in line when they notified me the service was complete. When I got on the freeway to return home I realized the hood of my car was shaking, indicating that they had opened my hood during the tire replacement (which makes no sense since you do not need to open the hood in order to do so) and forgot to close it completely before returning the car to me. Luckily I noticed quickly and pulled over to close the hood in order to prevent it from flying open while driving on a traffic filled freeway. If I had not noticed, and the hood opened, it would have caused serious injury to myself and other drivers. This dealership needs to pay closer attention and take better care of its customers.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would My wife and I recently got hit by a drunk driver on the freeway resulting in her car getting totaled. She had a 4Runner 07 looking for a similar model. She’s loyal to the Kearny mesa location but saw they had an 08 on this lot. She made an appointment to see it the next day. They said they will have it detailed and ready for test drive at her appointment time 5pm. She had to take time off work to come at 5pm. She received a text and a confirmation call in the morning that the car was done detailed and ready for driving. Showed up and stood there for 30 minutes without being helped at the appointment time, the guy that was suppose to see her left without telling her. Waited around more and was told that the car wasn’t detailed. She insisted on still seeing it and driving it. After driving it she wanted it so she started the paperwork. Here’s where everything went really south. - they filled out her application for financing with the wrong name and info and submitted it. This caused her to sign papers 2-3 more additional times. - ran her credit score 2 times and the 3rd was without her knowledge through a different credit bureau. - Called to speak to the financing manager and then requested to speak to the main supervisor of the store. Was told he would call the next day. The next day she never received a call from them. Sent emails out and haven’t had any response. I’ve never heard of a car dealer providing so much unethical, customer service to someone who’s just trying to buy a vehicle. Incredibly unprofessional, in both financial and sales department. We will never return back here and will continue business with Kearny mesa. I highly suggest people to rethink about coming here. We came because we saw the accolades and awards they received. But that doesn’t mean anything if the experience was absolutely horrible.

I been driving my 2004 Tacoma since it was passed down to me from my parents after 20 years of driving it and using it and enjoying it was time for a update and change let the old go and bring in a new memory, I was looking around places, and couldn't find what I want but out of curiosity I checked out norm Reves Toyota and I found what I been looking for it's a beautiful 2024 Tacoma Trd package I meet with Arthur one of the employees thier he took me under his wing and just made me feel like family and one of thier won gave me a such a great deal I couldn't say no at all, and best part he took my 2004 Tacoma in as a trade in! At the end I have nothing to say but great thing about this dealer and Arthur for helping me out I will definitely recommend this place to all friends and family members

I made an appointment for an oil change. Despite arriving about 15 minutes early, I waited in a long line for over 30 minutes. Once I finally reached the service line, I was rudely informed that my "reservation" (which I had called days prior and scheduled an appointment) would take over two hours to complete. It's incredibly frustrating to be misled and disrespected as a customer. This experience has left me feeling undervalued and disappointed. I will certainly not be returning to this location and will advise my friends, family, and colleagues to avoid it as well. Norm Reeves Toyota San Diego should prioritize customer satisfaction and accurate scheduling to avoid such inconveniences.

Saw 2 online coupons for a Transmission "drain & fill" or "full flush". I've worked on cars plenty of times & know how things go but walked in pretending I'm a first timer. I decided to do a "full flush" @ a higher cost than the latter option & was given the advisor by the name of Stephen Shapley (skinny white guy, 2019). When speaking to him I purposely double-checked the difference between these 2 transmission services/coupons to make sure I "😉" know what I'm paying for. Long story short; I watched the mechanic & confirmed that a simple drain & fill was done, not my specified "full flush" that I'm paying for. Upon conclusion, I'm assuming Stephens' final quote will be for the smaller priced service as it appears there was a mistake but nope, hands me the paperwork for the price of a flush instead, great!🫤 Anyways, my real persona comes out & I inform him of the news, they then attempt to fix the situation by taking the vehicle out of my range of view & "claiming" they've done the flush this time. Sneaky or possibly just a 1-time mistake is my question? "w/how you people are out here in CA, I lean towards sneaky👎"

Service is TERRIBLE BY LUIS MARQUEZ! My vehicle was not inspected for what it was brought in for. My sensor has been loose and I had to brought it in for repair, mind you the sensor was attached on my car upon arrival . After leaving my first appointment the sensor fell off completely and along went a second sensor! (Check pictures) My car was there for over 10 hours and they went as little was even checking tire gages, the air pressure was low when I left; completely disgusting with the customer service Luis and Larry the manager provided. A COMPLETE DISGRACE TO TOYOTA. Save yourself the headache and take your vehicle else where! My car is New 2023 and has NEVER been in any accident. Still under warranty Though this dealer claims it has been with aftermarket repair. They declined that that issue was their fault and did nothing for hours. LAZY AND POOR ATTITUDE!

Yeah 6 hours for a standard service maintenance is just not an acceptable time frame for checking my tires and air filters. Not only that, after waiting 6 hours and coming back to the dealership expecting my car to finally be done I’m told they are now working on the tire rotation and it’ll just be another 15 min. HAHAHAHA what a massive joke. They didn’t even start the job until I showed up after having it dropped off. Honestly so unprofessional. It’s a huge bummer because this place is really close to where I live but I will never be returning here. This is also not a one time thing. I’m sitting in this waiting room listening to all the front office apologize for delayed maintenance appointments to other customers. If they weren’t forgetting my car due to having to service others what are they really doing back there? What is this place?? I’m not kidding another person just walked in saying he’s been waiting for 8 hours! Insane stuff, I feel bad for this front office.
