Hands down the best shop I’ve ever been to! I highly recommend them. I’m a single female and my car died so I had it towed here on a Saturday. They were super friendly over the phone and informed me that they most likely wouldn’t be able to look at my car until Tuesday. I appreciate being given reasonable expectations so I could plan accordingly. To my pleasant surprise I received a call/text that my car was ready for pick up. They even stayed after closing so I could pick it up. My car is 10 years old so I was bracing for bad news/big expense however it was just overdue oil change & the cost was very reasonable!! Thank you

Gregory took excellent care of me. They saw me right away for a slow leak in one of my tires, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed it right away. This is the second time I’ve used them for a flat and both times they were friendly and efficient. Great neighborhood place! Highly recommend!

I’ve been here 3 times now for 3 different issues. They’ve always sent an estimate around lunch the day I’ve dropped it off (even when I was in the middle of the line in the morning) and 2 times the repairs were made by the time they closed. The customer service has been great and I’m glad I have a repair shop in town that I can trust and rely on.

These guys were phenomenal. My car broke down coming back from the Rolling Stones concert in Atlanta. I was on my way back to North Carolina and was stranded basically on a Saturday morning. They went above and beyond found the part for my car and fixed it so I could be back on the road before they closed at three. If I could give them more than five stars, I would.

Was told by another repair shop that my car couldn’t be fixed and that I needed to replace the whole exhaust system (for $1000+). Called motor city and they said they’d take a look at it. Next day motor city had it repaired, good as new, for less than $300. These are”can do” people!

I brought my car in twice in the last 2 weeks. First time the car limped for a bit, but eventually restarted and was fine. The shop changed the spark plugs based on an OBDII scan and were very professional and communicated well. One week later the car's issues cane back even worse than before. I Limped my car in to the shop when it wouldn't get above 30 mph one morning and the engine kept revving. The shop had all of their techs look at it over the course of the day and determined it to be a larger transmission issue that they couldn't fix. They didn't charge me for any of the additional diagnostic work and recommended a shop to have it towed to. I'd recommend this shop for any minor mechanical repairs and as a good starting place if you have a major issue and need help determining where to go next.

I had high expectations for Motor City South as I read the reviews before taking my car there. They open at 8am and I got there at 7:45am and there were already three people in line. I asked the lady in front of me if she had been here before and she aid “Yes! They are fair and reasonable. That’s why there’s a line.” I dropped my car off as they opened, needing brake maintenance. They told me they would reach out via text to provide my quote. I hadn’t heard from them most of the day. I called at 2:30pm, and they were checking it and told me they would contact me soon. I still hadn’t heard anything and called at 4pm as they close at 5pm. The gentleman asked “Can I help you?”. I responded, “I haven’t heard anything about car all day.” They gave me the diagnosis of brake rotors and brake pads and sent my quote via text. They told me it would be ready the next day. It was ready by 11:30am, the next morning. The price was very fair. Intown Auto in Decatur charged me over $600 for just front brake pads and rotors (and labor), whereas Motor City South charged me $883 for front and back. Overall, I’ll be back. Communication was a tad lacking, but I know they were very busy. Their fair pricing was very much appreciated. They were very kind when speaking with them as well. I recommend Motor City South.

Was told to get there early because they service on a first come basis, but after being third in line at 7:45 AM, they still hadn’t even looked at my car by 11. They did not follow through on their promises, as they were servicing cars who arrived after me when I finally went back to check on it three hours later. Poor customer service.

Went in to have my tire pressure checked before a trip. Guys were so professional! The provided quick, efficient service, provided an explanation for something that would need to be addressed in the next few months, and gave me affordable solutions for whatever I decided to do, whenever I decided to do it. Shockingly, no one tried to sell me anything. I was really impressed. 10/10 will be back.

Mike and his team have come through for us in a pinch many times! Great service and communication, plus they are trustworthy and reasonably priced. They are incredibly busy, so get there early to line up as they open if you have a non-emergency.

Motor City South exceeded whatever expectations I had. They listened to my concerns and did not act like I was an inconvenience, even though they are extremely busy right now. I had to bring my car back a few times and they were quick to help. They are by far the best auto shop I have been to and the entire staff is incredibly kind and friendly. I highly recommend!!
