I just moved to this area not too long ago and my brakes started going bad recently so I decided to give this shop a try. I pulled up and they assisted me right away. I was thinking I'd have to come back, but they helped me right on the spot and was very professional and efficient. I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic customer service! Woman friendly, staff is great. Prices are fantastic. Zee is responsive as well as goes that extra mile to get you the extra information you need but you just don't know where to start. I took my vintage Jeep in to have minor to engine repairs done - Zee was able to repair not only what I was worried about but was able to help me identify any other potential issues. He kept me in the loop the entire time - great communication. And it doesn't hurt that the location is it the best people watching spot in South Dallas.

Had me waiting over an hour for the “parts” to come in. Why not tell me you don’t have the part in the first place. Been waiting all this time and they still want to charge for labor even though I didn’t get the part replaced. Would never recommend.

Honest guys, replaced rear brake pads in about an hour at a reasonable price. If I lived around here, I'd go back to them with all my future mechanical needs.

I got help from Z, & he was very honest and knowledgeable when it came to my vehicle! Came in with what I thought was the problem and expensive, but left with a running vehicle & some great advice with little to no cost! Would highly suggest coming for trustworthy & reasonable work! I have had such a great experience with this shop. They have been very patient and flexible. I am always nervous when dealing with mechanics as a woman but I felt comfortable leaving my car with the owner. I’m a grateful and returning customer!!

Very nice and trustworthy folks here. Thank you Zee for assisting me especially when I came by very last minute. I had no idea how to install my plate lights and he did it in less than 3 minutes. Definitely will be back!

Please avoid this place. I paid for $1200 for nothing. He replaced my good parts for no reason. I don’t know how this guy gets so many good reviews. But the experience for me is traumatic. First I got the engine light code from auto-zone it says high pressure fuel pump issue and I told Zee to fix the fuel pump he gave me a quote of $650. Later on, He “thinks” it’s the alternator and fuel injector causing the issue. I was at my grandma’s funeral in China at the time. Even though I thought it’s weird but I chose to trust him. After he replaced the alternator and all 4 fuel injectors I still cannot start my car normally and after jump start the car is shaking heavily and the engine light is on, the speed does not go above 40 after pedaling for 20 sec. My car was at his shop for 50 days. He asked me to be positive and he can fix my car. But after 50 days, he says the car drives fine which is not at all. My car still doesn’t start unless we jump start it and when we drives it the car just doesn’t feel right. With all these problems, Zee told me when I sent the car to the shop it did not start, now the car can start , so his job is done. After hearing this, i just felt there is no need to waste time there. So I drove the car away to Mazda Service Center. And the Mazda told me it’s the issue of high pressure fuel pump. So it means he changed non relevant stuff for my money. I paid $1200 for nothing but stress and frustration. I don’t know what to do. I felt so helpless. He has a way to fool people by his nice way of talking. I was fooled for so long and at the end my friend dragged me out of this. The guy shows no empathy. He blamed me crying at his shop. But why did I cry? Because I was scared and so frustrated that I have a feeling this guy scammed me. I never experienced something like this. Imagine what would you feel you got scammed when you lost someone important in your life. After another shop replaced my fuel pump, the car runs normally now. But whenever I sit in the car, it reminds me of the horrible experience and I feel sad. It’s not about money. It hurts that I was fooled for so long. In the meanwhile, when I was in China attending the funeral, Zee told me my windshield is broken. I was like what?? When I dropped it off, it was all fine. Luckily, the guy who towed my car has the proof of picture so Zee replaced my windshield at no cost. He also damaged my dashboard which he says he doesn’t know what happened. I don’t have pictures for proof so of course he can deny he did it. Guys, please avoid this guy. Last thing, he kept saying the car will be ready for tomorrow or he says the car should be ready at the end of day and he will call me when it’s ready. First of all, he never called me. Second, every time when I go there in person. He let me wait for so long at least 2-3 hours. Idk why he is doing this to me. It’s time to let it go. It’s not about money. I didn’t believe I was fooled for so long. I didn’t believe he lied to my face. But it’s true. It is what it is.

The people here helped me for free when I wasn’t expecting it- they checked out all the parts of my car, did little repairs I didn’t even know I needed, and gave me a lot of advice that was really helpful. They helped me understand what I didn’t really need to spend money on too and helped me save a lot of money. I’ll be coming back here for any issue I have and I’ll be recommending them to anyone who needs a mechanic from now on

Whenever I need them for service either an inspection or tires they provide me with great service. Especially as a women, I feel they are genuine don’t try to mislead me! The only tire shop I use in Dallas! Make sure you do too!

Azaad and Zee are phenomenal. I’ve never been to a shop where the service is as professional, fast, and cost-friendly as Motor City Auto. This is the only shop I’ll take my car to. I’ve never had consistent service like these guys provide. 10/10 service.

I’m so glad I found this place! Z was incredibly honest and made me feel confident in the recommendations he gave. They resolved my issue for a lot less than I was quoted elsewhere, and I really appreciated his honesty, especially since I’m not very knowledgeable about cars. The customer service was fantastic, too. This is definitely my new go-to spot for any car issues.

Thank you so much Zee for your Great customer service and great work, for sticking by me on the phone last Friday when my car got over heated and for coming to my rescue!! I was really stressed out that day when my car broke down after work and no other mechanic was available or wanted to take my car because “they had a lot of cars to work on.” Well, Motor City Auto Repair also had cars to work on BUT Zee did not turn me down! He heard my stressful voice on the phone when I told him I needed help and he stayed on the phone, guided me on what to do at the moment, and when my car completely died on me a few miles away from his shop, Zee came to my rescue. He went out his way to check out my car, took it to his shop, and reassured me that he would get it done by the next day. My husband is usually hesitant taking our cars to mechanics, but he trusted Motor City Auto Repair. He didn’t think twice to leave it there. He was amazed by their service and the way they treated me! I got my car fixed the next day and is running good! I definitely recommend this place! Great service, reasonable prices, and they get your car fixed! I will be back for sure!
