Many years ago when I had less money I drove high mileage used cars. Every breakdown was a drag. Encounters with a service shops most often were not pleasant. Rarely was I treated fairly though there were rare exceptions. Eventually I became more successful and for the past 25 years I live by a specific rule regarding automobiles. I will not own any vehicle not under factory warranty. Not for one day. That means I own no cars past their factory warranty. So, no keeping cars past warranty and no cool vintage collectible cars. Life is too short to be hustled by a post warranty service center. Especially shops backed up with heavily used cars. I feel sorry for these struggling folks with broken cars as most shops pillage them. At least factory dealerships if you are off warranty have to follow some factory guidelines. But small shops pillage. Recently I needed to use an old Ford van for a film production. And so I wanted it to be reliable for the filming period. Unfortunately that meant bringing it to an automotive shop fixing older cars out of warranty. I wont go into specifics regarding my experience with Monsoon Automotive. I will simply say I do not recommend them and would not for any reason bring any vehicle to them again.

Brought my car in for B service. During the inspection portion the tech noticed the front struts were leaking and notified me. I took the car to the dealer and told them what was noticed. The repair was covered under warranty saving me around 2k. I really appreciate the attention to detail.

This shop was recommended to me by a friend and they have been complete lifesavers on multiple occasions. I’ve used several different shops in town for oil changes and car repairs and none of them come close to the work and service I’ve received at Monsoon. They’re friendly, explain repairs thoroughly, and don’t try to tack on a bunch of unnecessary work like other places. They’re also fairly priced and fast. Since finding them, they’re who I recommend all family and friends to.

I came in last week for an oil change and I ended up also needing my cabin and air filters changed. It was a last minute add on but nonetheless the entire process was completed in under 2 hours! Everyone was polite and no one tried to tack on any extra fees. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back!

These guys are good at what they do and honest about doing it. They don't encourage you to do work that is unnecessary and the rates are reasonable. My car runs noticeably better and rides smoother since I had work done there.

like any new business you can be skeptical at first until you build a relationship and sometimes that takes multiple visits. Not with these guys from the moment I walked in I felt at home. I would recommend mansoon to anyone looking for a good honest repair shop. Plus every now and again when you drop your car off there is a lambo getting worked on which is cool to see and even cooler that these guys can work on such unique cars. Thank you for taking care of my vehicle!

I had my headlights changed and they rewired the passenger side wrong and it fried the wire casing which I had to replace. I went in to have the headlight changed within a couple of months of the replacement and found out then.

Monsoon will absolutely take care of you. Had issues with my vehicle after having excessive work done at a previous auto repair shop. Monsoon found multiple more issues that where left behind by the other guys. Very professional. Strongly recommend

They sold me a new transmission and I found out it was not new from the dealership they bought it from and in fact a rebuilt after they told me I should talk to the dealership! Promised this was the best option and it came with a warranty I could have it fixed anywhere in the US. My vehicle broke with in 4 days of getting it back and warranty ended up being not “anywhere in the US” and had to be taken to the dealership to be fixed (fix a brand new transmission). The only way I could get answers is to call multiple times to both places to finally undercover I was pretty much mislead from the beginning about everything. I’ve never felt more taken advantage of in my life. I highly do not recommend this shop, especially if you’re a woman they feel they can take advantage of. UPDATE: when questioned on the new transmission after finding out it was a rebuilt, Jay still stated it was new and I said that was false and he said he would find out and call back and then most response I’ve received is from this Google review. As soon as you discovered you were unqualified and had to send to my car to a transmission shop to diagnose the problem and then to the dealership you wiped your hands clean of the situation. I paid you not them and was lied to on what I was buying. Way to take someone’s money and not stand by your word or work. Dishonesty and a lack of integrity. Also I talked to the dealer, loan cars are free of charge anyways. They didn’t have one available, not that they didn’t want to give me one.

After just moving here to Tucson in July, I am glad to have found a truly honest mechanic. Both Marcus and Jay were very helpful and kept a clear line of communication with me for full transparency. They helped answer all my questions and explained what was going on with my car instead of just telling me what was broken like most other shops. It’s rare to find a shop as truthful and fair as these guys. Will easily be my mechanic for as long as I’m in Tucson.

Great repair shop. They get my whole fleet in and get the problems diagnosed and cars fixed quickly and properly. They don’t pressure to get repairs done and they are honest and do a great job all the time. I used to go to Brakemasters but now I only take my cars to Monsoons Automotive for all my car repairs and maintenance.

Had a fine experience my first time at this shop for a coolant leak. Ended up taking it to a previous shop for a repair under warranty. Terrible experience second time. We came in for AC leak inside the car and engine overheating. They assumed my wife didn’t know anything about cars when she reported AC leaking. They said it’s supposed to do that. Yes, condensate underneath the car, not inside dripping on the passengers feet. They also did terrible diagnostic for the overheating. They said your cars not overheating, it’s the coolant sensor for the gauge (which I already had replaced 3 months prior). I figured ok, parts can be bad sometimes, maybe it wasn’t an oem part. so I authorized them to replace the sensor. Turns out the car was overheating. now we have a blown head gasket. Lazy diagnostic, just making guesses and throwing parts at the car for no reason other than to get us out the door.

I knew my car was going to be expensive to maintain, and I wasn't happy about it. Monsoon Automotive took the time to make sure I was comfortable and explain everything in detail. They really seemed to care about getting my car fixed accurately, and quickly. They were on the ball from start to finish. I will always take my car here going forward. They even offered me an Uber to come pick my car up, which not a lot of places are going to do. They gained a life long customer in me, and I will be throwing their name out anytime someone asks. It's rare to get a bill higher than Snoop at Coachella and sign it with a smile. Thank you Monsoon Automotive!

I'm a fairly good shade tree mechanic. I recently replaced the hydro boost, master cylinder, front brake calipers, shoes and power steering pump along with all high new high and low pressure lines on my 1988 Chevy truck. Also flushed both systems prior to rebuilding. A REALLY important part of such an extensive rebuild is replacing the brake hoses - an inexpensive part often overlooked and "relatively" easy to replace. I tried multiple attempts but couldn't get them out, they were "cold welded" in place due to their age. Time to call a professional. These guys turned it around in a day for me - and also gave me some additional advice how to service the rear drums. Kudos to Jay and his team. I won't hesitate to use them again or refer them to friends!

Honest, professional, courteous...... Great shop. I have an older Volvo and they have diagnosed and repaired my air conditioning, and emergency brake, giving me estimates, touching base after diagnosis and performing the work in a timely manner. Love these guys.

The real measure of a great shop is how they handle things that are not going smoothly. Recently we had Rick's team at Monsoon do some general maintenance and a custom modification on our diesel truck. The maintenance went smoothly but the modification was challenging. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up they stood behind their work and made sure things were completed perfectly. A great place that you can trust and real people that care about doing a good job.

Took our 2014 Acura MDX in for a few repairs and these guys were very kind, honest, and had a quick turn around time. Vehicle is running great, parts and labor were very fairly priced, and everything is covered under warranty. Highly recommend.
