Brought my car in before 9am. Got a call at noon that confirmed the work to be done (an oil change, and replace one headlight and one tail light). I was asked what time I needed the car when I dropped it off and I said 3pm because I had work. Even if we count from their call, that is over three hours. I arrived at 3:45 to pick up my car. It wasn’t ready, and I was told they’re finishing up the headlight. I said you know what I don’t even need the headlight, but I need to get to work so just give me the keys and I’ll go. THEY DIDNT EVEN DO THE OIL YET. In over three hours. After calling me at 12noon to confirm. They drained it but it was sitting empty. I had to cancel a children’s class that the parents and kids were already almost there for because I couldn’t even leave if I wanted to. AND THEY LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER’S KEYS! They were rummaging looking for another car’s keys talking about I can’t believe they’re lost. Beyond unprofessional. Good luck to that customer. Like just tell me it won’t be done in time and I’ll come another day. I told you I had to work and you had many hours. Literally lost me money. TLDR: 0/10 do not recommend.

I was hesitant to walk into Monroe years ago I had a bad experience to get one thing done to my car and they tried to sell me another so I figured I'd give them Another try today with my 2021 Mazda. CX5 bought a Groupon scheduled thru monroe's customer service and let them know what type of car I had. Arrived at my appointment gave them all my information, the guy said I would not be able to use my Groupon for the oil change I purchased. He told me it only comes up as a high mileage oil change. guess that is standard practice with monroe. My car is not high mileage. There's always a way to change the outcome of a miscommunication in business. And change an option to put in and honor the customer's voucher I tried to work with the guy to get a bit of a discount because there was a miscommunication from their customerThere's nothing in the small print that I saw saying anything about. Saying that your car must have this particular oil change. I've attached screenshots if anybody sees something that i may have missed please let me know, I know there's always some kind of shop fee, It usually ranges from is 4 to 8 dollars not at monroe almost $18.00 Give me a break. The manufacturer recommends full synthetic changes. Blended synthetic oil changes are fine if you don't drive a whole lot, Which I don't it's not necessary to have a full synthetic oil change done. I have Done synthetic blend many times over the past two years and and have never had a problem I think He should have come up with a resolution to satisfy the miscommunication their customer service Seems like a little bait and switch to me Normally I Go to midas which is a little bit further away They are fantastic and i've never had a problem with them should have stuck with What I have always done, lesson learned

I supplied all parts & told the manager I won’t them back it took 45 mins at 4:45 work was done working Fine till i paid him thinking my parts were in the trunk .$ 557.00 paid the manager out side as I asked for A receipt he replied you’re good if I’m here I’ll take care of you. If you don’t see me here come back tomorrow in the future. I said no I need a receipt because I’m selling my car. He refused to give me a receipt and hung my muffler up with, rubber seal washers they mailed it off call corporate had a claim number and told me due to me not having a receipt. They cannot do anything so pretty much what they didn’t see is the pictures I took when my car was on the left with their heads in the background working on my car before I left to go eat Taco Bell for 45 minutes so why was my bill so high and why didn’t I get a receipt? Is it because it took 45 minutes to do and I supplied the parts the manager put the money straight into his pocket the next morning I opened my trunk to find out. They took my catalytic converter and motor mount off of my 2002 Monte Carlo so not only did he make out with the $557.00 he made 200 off my catalytic converter when I went back the second day I had to call the cops to make a report and now it’s litigations to be settled in court watch who you deal with at all times he tried playing me like a fool, and my car still not fixed if my muffler falls off at any time and somebody gets hurt, you will be liable for all injuries to vehicle or personnel sincerely, Matthew Mager

I wish I could pick NO STARS BECAUSE EVEN ONE IS TOO MUCH !Do not and I mean DO NOT ! Ever use Monro Muffler/brakes on aramingo avenue ! My horror story began beginning of October when a “check engine light” came on. I took it to the closest spot to my job. Monro muffler on aramingo ! They read the code to be “cylinder 1 misfire”. They said they will do a tune up. I go to get my car and INSTANTLY knew something was wrong. I went in for a “check engine light” no mechanical issues…. When I drove away every light came on and car was jerking. I took it right back. That’s where it gets WONKY! The mechanic sent me across the street to buy a box of my own coils (they said they’d replace free of charge as if they were doing me a favor) meanwhile they charged me 178$ for one coil and the box of 6 was 200 (ripped me off). The car was okay for 26 days, then the engine light came back on. I took it back to the same shop because I just paid them 900$ to fix it! They told me they will giggle some stuff around and it should fix it…. (My gut said DONT LET THEM TOUCH IT AGAIN) so I called the district manager. He then directed me to a shop with “common sense” HA HA …… so then I get sent to MR.Tire on frankford ave. They said they re did everything the first shop did and that unfortunately my engine was shot and a new one is 6,000$. When I picked my car up and hopped in to drive off I noticed a piece that should’ve been under my hood was on my passenger seat. I went in and told them. They said “oh our bad” boom put it in I left. *I figured out my engine is under warranty* I take it to a REAL AUTO BODY SHOP! Schaffers Automotive LLC ! Chris gave excellent service from the phone to in person! He called me and asked if anyone was recently under the hood I explained. He said unfortunately there are slum lord mechanics just as there are slum landlords…. Basically one of the two shops left hoses in my motor unhooked after disconnecting them. They broke my EGR tube and ELECTRICAL TAPED IT BACK TOGETHER AND NEVER TOLD ME! And to top it all off there are 7 bolts to a intake manifold they snapped one so bad that it was lodged deep down in tbe part and snapped so the entire thing has to be replaced (600$ alone) !! NEITHER SHOP WAS FORTHCOMING WITH THE DAMAGES THEY CAUSED ! & APPARENTLY NOW THE DOSTRICT MANAGER CANT HEAR HIS PHONE RINGING. Claim was submitted. This will be rectified BUT TO BE CLEAR AVOID MONRO MUFFLER ON ARAMINGO AND MR TIRE ON FRANKFORD AVE IF YOU APPRECIATE THE OPERATING QUALITY OF YOUR CAR! They are scammers for one and should not be in the field they’re in.

Negligence from the inspector. He admitted to the manager that he didn’t take the tire off during the inspection, he just assumed a number by shinning a flash light on the break pad. He flagged my car to not pass inspection until the back breaks were changed, claiming them to be a 2. They were both a 4, which is passable. I had to beg for accountability and was offered a free oil change. He refused to apologize or even have a conversation with me.

Used Groupon code for $69.99 full synthetic oil change. Was charged over $20 in “shop fees” when I arrived. If I would have know the oil change was going to be $90, I would have gone somewhere closer & more convenient. Do not use Groupon and expect a deal.

The manager and team took good care of my van. The only thing that I noticed is that my tires were not rotated as part of the oil change package. I noticed after I left. I will remind them next time. Thanks!

Had a Groupon coupon and guy at counter first tells me only synthetic oil which isn’t true! Then he back peddles and says a blend will be ok but they don’t carry a blend even though that’s what I bought? Then after I press him they have a blend just not in stock? And he was just on phone trying find out where his delivery is so he would have blend. It was bait and switch he immediately told me I had upgrade pay difference and buy full synthetic. Shoo was dirty and stuff laying around didn’t look or feel professional stay away

These people are scammers. They try to charge me $700 for new brakes/rotors for a 2002 Honda Accord LX. Which doesn't make any sense since it's a older car. Took it to another spot where a former worker of this place even stated that the owner and workers purposely overcharge customers. Got my brakes changed for only $470 which is much more reasonable. FYI: the mechanics were smoking cigarettes in the garage while working on another car. DO NOT get robbed by this trash business.

Brought my car here to get looked at because it was driving weird, they called and said it was the arms and “fixed it”. I picked it up they made me pay cash which i thought was odd. My car was still driving the same way and then it was leaking fluid from the area they “fixed “. I called up there to see if they could look at it again and they would have but i took it somewhere else and guess what?!?! The arms were broken, the motor mount was broken, bolts missing, and cap to some line was missing and was the reason it was leaking ! They did a horrible job and i will never visit this monro again!

Very sad to have to write this review. We have gone here for full tire replacement a couple times and have been very satisfied - and the manager we usually dealt with was great. However, we dropped a car off just for a balance and rotation. A different manager handled the transaction and called to say we needed to replace the brakes - "only 1% left - you'll do significant damage if you drive on them for much longer." Anyway, we didn't get the brakes done because I do my own brake work. I ordered new pads and pulled the tire and found about half of the pad was left. So, they're fine if you want to buy their tires and if you know what you want - or probably just if you get the good manager - but do not trust them if they tell you your car needs work.

I brought my car in for a state inspection, expecting a quick and straightforward process, but it turned out to be quite challenging. The appointment got off to a bad start when they couldn't find my reservation in their system. I dropped off my car at 10:30 AM, and they called me back at 1 PM, claiming they had completed the inspection. To my surprise, they insisted I needed new brakes and a serpentine belt to pass the inspection. I found it odd since I had replaced my rear brakes and rotors just last year. When I inquired about the cost, they quoted me $670 for the brakes. This seemed exorbitant, especially considering another location had charged me only $300 for the same service. Suspicious, I called around and visited Meineke on John F. Kennedy Blvd. They reassured me that my brakes were in good condition and that I didn't need any replacements. According to their technician, many customers had complained about the Aramingo Ave location. He couldn't believe they had told me my brakes were at a 2 when they should be at a 1 to fail inspection. My brakes were at a 7 according to Meineke. While he suggested changing the serpentine belt, he emphasized it wasn't necessary for passing inspection. In conclusion, I strongly advise against bringing your car to this location. It seems like they are more interested in taking your money than providing honest service. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!!!

I would rate them ZERO STARS!!!!! Very unprofessional, scammers, and thieves!!!! My sister took her car there for a starter issue they told her it wasn’t a starter issue, then seized her engine and then told her it was actually a starter problem !!!!! Then proceeded to tell her to buy a new engine or rebuilt one and paying them over $800. Then decided to steal items from within the vehicle and blame it on “homeless” people when they had the key. When asked for camera footage all of a sudden they don’t have cameras ?! How when you are a mechanic shop how are you protecting peoples vehicles that are left on your property??? They don’t care about nothing but digging into your pockets. This business deserves to be shut DOWN IMMEDIATELY!
