I brought my wife’s vehicle for an oil change and tire rotation. I used a coupon that was for $31. When I was showed the bill it was more than that, I asked him and he said it was because of fees and taxes. I was fine to pay a little extra if I really had to. When my vehicle was finished he said I owed $49! I was confused I asked if he put in my Groupon and he said yes but that was for the balance that was extra. I never asked for my vehicle to be balanced. He was very rude and said “you signed it you know what you ordered.” I never asked for anymore more than the oil change and rotation. He was rude and condescending and made me feel like I was the wrong one. I didn’t want to argue so I paid the extra that I already told him I didn’t have. Will never go back here these guys are scammers.

I have been dreading getting my car checked here again for the millionth time due to the terrible staff and the “work” done to my car. Which seemed to get worse and worse every time they touched it. I decided to walk in today hoping and praying I would have a better experience/service and I was blessed to find the new manager and workers were very welcoming and understanding to my situation. They took care of me and I couldn’t be more grateful for them all!! Especially the new manager!!! I’ll be coming here with confidence from here on out. 5 stars ALL AROUND!

I went for an emission test and the shop didn’t offer that service, but the helpful staff directed me to a couple other shops in the area that could help me.

This (Monro Chain ) is like a boat without a Captain. I did try 2 different locations ( 1 in Hartford Road, New Britain, Ct.) 2 ( Bristol, Ct.) avoid if you can.

Came 12/7 with a new registered car with my plates transferred from my old vehicle which was transferred 12/6 with only running the plate refusing to look at the papers from dmv and my insurance as well I was refused service I have them recorded saying they refuse to look at the dmv paperwork. Terrible customer service how police said it is a civil matter. Do not go to this place not recommend

Came here recently to get my brakes fixed and they ended up having to keep my car for a couple days to diagnose the problem, but everyone was super communicative about the service and the shop found a way to give me a discount as they figured out what the issue was. I have an older car so they had to go through a bit of a scavenger hunt to get the parts that were needed. I appreciated them looking out, would definitely return.

Came in for emissions test on my car. Waited at the front desk for 10 minutes with an employee just sitting there charging their phone. Never asked if I needed help with anything until I asked if someone was working the front desk.

In a timely manner replaced my front brakes, even picked me up from my home to get my car, after they completed the service. Replacing the front brakes made a huge difference

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star! The store manager Joseph misdiagnosed my car and then said I have to call corporate for a refund. Corporate never answers and you can tell they always all comment and say press 2 but when you do that nothing happens. You can save yourself a headache and money by going anywhere else but to this shop. Best believe I contacted the better business bureau. Ridiculous how they take advantage of people.

I made an appointment. Went in and told the man there i had some tires just looking to have them mounted and balanced. Tell me why he quoted me 266$ before taxes and 366$ after tax. That’s ridiculous and a scam most places charge 30 to 35$ a tire. I would also like to know why it was 100$ in tax? What a scam so I came down the road like around the corner to a local tire shop on Farmington ave and they charged me 25$ per tire and an additional 5$ for each tire disposal.

Very disappointed!! They wanted to charge my friend $400 for changing just the rear brake pads, stating that the pads cost $200. When it cost from 30 to 60. Seriously!!!

Got Groupon for oil change here,first mistake..made an appointment on monro's website,second mistake. Went to appoint to be told that the website does not reflect what's available in the shop. I made an appointment with guy at counter for 3 days away, third mistake. Showed up 3 days later..They couldnt fulfill my appointment. Called Monro Customer service in India was told there was appointment available that day in bristol and made the appointment. Then in immediately called bristol told them that customer service just gave an appointment for that day..bristol told me there arent any appointments until 2 days away...made the appointment since now my return for groupon has expired. (side note they have a sign outside that says bays are open come on in) Monro Bristol showed up..rudely treated..gave my keys. 10 minutes later I get a call that one my coolant lines failed..and it would $550 to fix, flush, and refill system...I assessed the damage and saw that it was a return line that wasnt critical and, just so happens to be next to the oil dipstick, and could be plugged until I decide to fix it, so I declined the service. Then I watched some high school age person slowly finish my oil change..and tire rotation..while examining for other issues on my car over the next 45 minutes. Took car to o,Reilly bought some tube and clamps to fix my leak for $20..made it home and ordered the part that broke for $14 dollars. It looks like I'll lose about 20% of my coolant doing the repair myself... So monro..your going out of business just get it over with and do it. And Groupon sucks too.

Made an appointment for a 4 tire change. Showed up the next day and was told they would have to order the tires because they don't keep that brand in stock. The woman at the counter blamed the website, but their sign advertises a sale on the same brand. At the least, it's an inconvenience, and it's probably more like a bait and switch ploy. They will never see a dime from me.

I’ve been going to Monroe for years, and it’s always a good experience. However the last time I went for an oil change the next day my car was leaking oil I brought it back to the shop and they said I have two leaks and it would need replacing. I took my car to the dealership and they had a look and told me there were no cracks or leaks that it was just a bad oil change. Now it’s been over two weeks and I still haven’t received my refund of $134 and the manager doesn’t seem to really care because “it’s out of his hands”

Put my front calipers on backwards and crushed break lines. When the truck had no peddle they said I had "oil in my break fluid reservoir" THAT'S why there is no peddle! They kept it from Sunday until I had it towed out of there on a Thursday because that Wednesday evening, I received a phone call from the supposed manager stating that they had been flushing it and bleeding it and there's still no pedal so now it needs a master cylinder to start off with and that was going to cost me just shy of $1,500. "To start with" So of course I asked after I pay $1,500 you're saying my vehicle might not still work and this is after paying $479 already for the rotors and bleeding of my brakes which caused them to put my calipers back on backwards. He said I'm afraid that's so. So I had it towed by AAA to a AAA repair facility where they discovered they put the calipers on backwards and crush the brake lines. No oil in my break lines and calipers, no master cylinder problem no booster problem no brake line problem. It cost me $615 to have them correct their mistake. I got my vehicle back from AAA the next afternoon. They had it for less than 24 hours and Monroe had it for 4 days and were prepared to change my whole braking system one piece at a time (which we know would not have worked and they would have just kept calling me with the next part to replace and the next amount I would have to pay) SCAM.. maybe?But i think its just unqualified individuals. When I called to explain to the manager what they're findings were he had the nerve to tell me they never touch my calipers so they must use magic to get rotors on cars at this place. Needless to say I will be taking this to small claims to receive the $109 back for the brake bleeding They can keep the money for installing the rotors cuz they did do that but they will be paying me the $615 that I had to pay to put the calipers back on right and bleed my brakes at AAA. Very unqualified people here They have children working on cars at this location. Teenagers, unqualified teens. There were three "Techs" working on my car at one time and between the three of them they couldn't figure out their mistake.

I am new to Bristol and had a squeezing sound coming from my car every time I turned on the heat or AC. I called to make an appointment and they were able to fit me in next day and I was in and out within an hour. Staff was great, accommodating and explained everything they did and before leaving they gave me recommendations of things I will need in the coming months but never made me feel pressured to make a decision in the moment. I will definitely be back.

It took me an hour and a half to get checked in, just so that monro would even allow someone to change my tires. This was with having a drop off appointment. The woman who was checking me in did not know how to do her job and it took me looking up DOT tire codes on my phone to resolve the issue that was holding up check-in. Before I resolved the issue, she told me there’s nothing they can do and I’ll have to take my tires to somewhere else. She told me this after waiting for an hour. It took my about 3 minutes to resolve the issue. The issue was simply that she was typing in the DOT code with “DOT” in the field. I had asked to speak with her manager, she told me she was the manager. I asked to speak with her boss, she told me her boss was in an important meeting and couldn’t help me. She also tried to upcharge me on the tire balance. She was trying to tell me it was $130/tire, which was eventually resolved. The only good thing about this experience was that I ended up getting a discount for the frustration.
