I was googling online and didn't realize there was this little hidden gem in Anderson. I first called Mike and asked him about my AC unit and he took the time to talk to me about it. He mentioned that he was booked, and asked if I could come back so he can take a look at it which I did. He was honest, kind, and I can tell he was knowledgeable and likes what he does. The fact that I was a woman had no effect on that. Usually women are taken advantage of when it comes to mechanics. Moving forward I came back with my husband and had my car worked on as well as my daughters. Not only did he keep us posted the whole time there was pictures, documentation, and most importantly a video. Completely down to earth, straightforward, does not rush, and I prefer it that way versus a big car dealership. Highly recommend!

Mike was great. This was by far the best experience I've had dealing with an auto shop. Mike was very knowledgeable and was very adept at explaining the situation with my vehicle in terms that I could understand. Mike was very straightforward and upfront about the condition of my car as well as the cost needed to repair it. I highly recommend Mike Automotive if you are looking for great, easy, and comprehensive service.

Needed an oil pressure sensor replaced on my truck. When I called and talked to Mike he seemed very informative and discussed everything he was going to do and price. I had already purchased the part and was going to replace on my own but could not get my hand back in there to get the socket on. Mike said he would take the intake off to get to it and gave me a price. When I dropped it off he sent me an invoice for diagnostics which I had already told him what part I wanted replaced and even brought the part to him but I went ahead and paid it thinking it would go towards the actual repair. Mike then confirms it was the part I had brought and then sends me another invoice for over double what we had discussed plus what I had already paid on diagnostics that I didn't need! I told Mike not to do the repairs and I would be down to pick my truck up. I took it down the street to Anderson Automotive and they were able to complete the repair with their part and warranty and not have to take intake manifold off for way less than half of what Mike tried to charge me. Only reason I give 2 stars is that when I asked him to refund the diagnostics charge I had already paid he did. Its very unfortunate because I liked the format he used with the pictures and videos he sends of the process. I had lots of other work for cars I wanted done and was hoping I found a good place to take them.

Brought my sons truck in for engine repair. Mike got us in quick and had repairs done in a day. Mike sends pictures and videos to show you the progress of your repairs. Online payment option is easy. Will definitely recommend.

I have a 2004 Golf TDI… kept it forever. Didn’t want to put any more money into it and planned to buy a new car in 2019. Then COVID hit and the car market went to hell. Trying to wait out the storm now… So needed many things done, including brakes and struts. Found Mike’s garage off of Beechmont Ave and stopped in. Mike was very engaging to hear my story. I dropped the car off the next morning and he called me back 3 hours later with a list of items including brakes, struts and CV joints. He texted pix of everything he inspected (and thoroughly) and recommendations on all items including parts pricing and availability which is important these days. I gave him a budget and he prioritized the list. We selected the brakes, joints and struts first. Mike documented the process with pix and videos throughout the repairs, capturing the old parts and the new ones to put on. He was also gentle in removing old parts, so not to create more damage to adjacent parts and fasteners. He was done in a day and test drove it with me. He came in under budget! Tweaked a few other things and rotated the tires for free (which would be å la carte everywhere else these days). We have more to do, and I’ll be back soon to get more off the list. Thanks Mike!

Mike is literally amazing. This probably sounds dramatic but if you ever wondered if a mechanic was BSing you you will appreciate the superb level of detail Mike gives you with his video documentation and constant updates. He makes you feel like you are there every step of the way, shows you comparisons and speaks so you understand what he is doing and why. Estimates, video and photo updates and payment right from my phone. It literally could not be easier. With Mike you really feel like you are getting extra service. As far as honesty goes, Mike found a scary looking issue that he could have easily made money on, was an easy fix free of charge. Mike is a guy you will tell your friends "I know a guy, take your car to Mike's Auto Repair on Beechmont in Anderson." Mike is my guy from now on that's for sure!

We were in Cincinnati from Dayton and suddenly found a major oil leak on our Honda Accord. I chose Mike because of his good reviews and he was close enough to drive my car there. Mike greeting me as soon as I arrived. He had the car finished by the end of the day because he was trying to save us a return trip. After this good experience I wouldn't use anyone else in the area. He is a hands on mechanic, which is hard to find these days. He is also reasonable and trustworthy. I also feel he can do a small or large job and keeps you informed on the repair.

Mike is a very nice guy, and really helped me out. Last month my exhaust starting making a horrible noise, and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I called Mike on a Saturday morning, and by that afternoon he had my car in and a first estimate. Mike came in and worked on Sunday to get my car fixed, and the whole time he stayed in contact with me (picture, video, and text updates) to let me know how things were going. The online payment system he uses couldn't be easier. I had a completely fixed car back within 24 hours, and the bill was more than reasonable. Can't say enough good things about Mike - will be using him as my mechanic from now on!

Mike thoroughly inspected my front and rear brakes, tested my alternator, sent pictures and videos along the way, and replaced the necessary parts quickly. He offers payment options through an online app which makes service a breeze. Also, work estimates can be reviewed and approved through his app before work is completed and receipts are texted right to you. It's so fast and easy! He was a pleasure to work with and I will be using his services for all my vehicle's maintenance from now on.

I had a horrible experience with this business and thought It may help the next person to make an educated decision on using their services. I had an older work van that ran strong with no issues and was a daily driver although it needed new breaks. So I found this auto repair shop on Craigslist in Anderson Township, we dropped off the van for front brake pads and calipers for an agreed price of about $440.00. The next day we could hardly drive the vehicle the steering the suspension was really jacked up, something seriously was wrong with this Van….. So, we contacted the shop and they said bring it back. After returning the van the shop they stated we needed an enormous amount of work to the front-end suspension and they quoted upper and lower ball joints, sway bar, inter and outer bearing, spindle assembly, sway bar assembly, inter race and outer race, and wheel seals for $1383.26. I want to give the shop the benefit of the doubt although in my opinion they did something to make this van inoperable thinking we would agree to replace all of the above items, I didn’t see other customers, so I felt like I was their meal ticket…… Here is the kicker I had to pay $692 to get the shop to release the van and had to have the van towed home… I’m expressing my opinion in this post. If there was an option for zero stars that what i would have picked. It does not deserve the one star that i had to give to leave a comment.

He's so fair and so kind! He will work with you and explain what's wrong with the car instead of trying to take advantage of you. I loved that he was able to see me so quickly and taught me a lot I didn't know.

Yesterday, after Mike finished working on my car, he drove my car 3-half hours straight on 275 to see if his repairs paid off & to see if anything would go wrong. He told me through text messages & I have them saved for proof. Driving a customer's car for 3-half hours is too excessive. Let's be real, he was basically joy-riding. There isn't no way around it. Jellico, Tennessee is about 3 hours 19 minutes away. That gives you a idea how long he drove my car on 275 . I can see if he drove for 5 minutes on the interstate but 3-half hours???? I will never take my car to him ever again. This was a life lesson.
