Excellent service here. They were able to identify a strange sound that two other places couldn’t narrow down (it was my rear shocks). I also stopped in today because I had a plastic cover underneath hanging down, they took the time to inspect and fix it quickly for no charge. These guys have quality technicians here. Thanks again I will continue to come back and bring my cars here.

Came for a oil change , asked for my brakes to be checked and was told I’ll be extra charge lol what a joke Midas nationwide offers a free multipoint inspection FREE not here in south dalemabry stay away from this shop specifically the service advisor gave me attitude because I asked for the 59.99 oil change he wants me to no matter what get the 89.99 STAY AWAY people

Fast, informative service. Made an appointment, Midas provided excellent service. Since they are full service, I will definitely be returning for my vehicle’s scheduled needs. Tucker and his technicians were excellent! They were knowledgeable and informative of the needed work to my vehicle, helped me with pricing, and contacted name as soon as my vehicle was ready. As long as the service continues, I will definitely return for all my vehicle’s concerns. Much appreciated!

Stop looking anywhere else and come to this location! I thought I needed new brakes for my 2021 VW Atlas Cross Sport and I was wrong my brakes are fine. The Manager and Team were amazing superior customer service with amazing integrity which is so hard to find today. As a GM for a retail store I cannot say enough about the customer service here. Although I did not need brakes today you gained a repeat customer for the future and when I have to get my next set of tires or finally brakes. Thank You Again ! Chris

These guys are LIFESAVERS. Jay & his team jumped to help me with a flat right at closing time and didn't blink or hesitate like some other shops would. Had me fixed and out the door in a flash. HIGHLY recommend them for anything auto-related.

Took my car here for new tires about a year ago, other than them making fun of my car, I went to get my brakes changed at another location, they over tightened my bolts to where I need an entirely new wheel hub, took my car to 3 different shops for them to all tell me that the bolts was way to tight. I now have to spend more money getting my car repaired due to negligence and just doing the job right.

Been coming here for a few years now… first time they messed up but the shop owned up to it (tech lied about completing a job) granted I had amazing evidence, manager apologized for the tech, and he got another tech to do the job and promised a refund and a free oil change. It’s been over 7 business days and my account does NOT show a refund. Take a look at the work before you leave, new young techs don’t care and most of the customers don’t know what they looking at. Sucks because now I rather drive father than to try and trust them again.

I wanted to make management and the public aware of the excellent service and care I received from Lucas recently at the 315 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa location. Lucas knows cars and will gladly explain anything car related to non-car folks, like myself. He is trustworthy and more concerned with customer satisfaction and safety than with recommending non-essential services, parts and labor. He also can get the best prices and discounts on services, parts and labor. Lucas also was able to talk to an insurance adjuster on my behalf as a result of a total loss due to water damage. Ask for Lucas, and even though he does not hold the title of manager yet, he certainly acts like one.

My recent experience with Midas on Dale Mabry in Tampa was an absolute disaster from start to finish. What used to be a trustworthy shop under previous management has devolved into a reckless, dishonest operation that I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. I initially brought my Jeep in for an oil change, new brakes, a vehicle inspection, and to diagnose a slow-start issue. While they managed to handle the oil change correctly, they completely forgot the inspection and failed to accurately diagnose the root cause of the slow-start problem. Midas decided to install a $700 starter instead of addressing the actual issue. The Jeep still struggled to start after the repair, and the brakes (which they claimed to have replaced) were still squealing. When I brought the Jeep back, they warrantied out the brakes but then suggested I might need an alternator instead of the starter they had just replaced. Turns out, neither was the problem. The real issue was a faulty wheel speed sensor, which would have cost $100 to fix and saved me $600 in unnecessary charges. After multiple angry phone calls, Midas finally replaced the wheel speed sensor and only charged me for the part. However, when I picked up my Jeep, there was a mysterious hole in my previously undamaged radiator, and the radiator fluid was completely gone. The engine overheated, rendering the vehicle nearly un-drivable. Whether this was caused by negligence or malice, I’ll never know, but the fact remains: their incompetence nearly cost me my Jeep. Luckily for Midas, I had already been planning to sell the Jeep, otherwise this would have ended in a lawsuit. The Jeep Dodge Ram dealership across the street gave me nearly full value for the Jeep. However, I was told by a Jeep representative that they often service vehicles that this specific Midas location has previously “repaired” and messed up. Under previous management, this shop was honest, respectful, and competent. I was treated fairly, never overcharged, and my vehicle was always returned in better condition than when I left it. Those days are clearly gone. For your own physical and financial safety, avoid this Midas shop now. If possible, take your vehicle directly to a dealership where trained professionals can handle your repairs correctly the first time. This Midas location has proven they cannot be trusted, they will try to clown you, and their carelessness could endanger you and your car. Save yourself the frustration, the financial loss, and the risk to your safety. Stay far away from this shop.
