Short pump Midas was very honest. I took my car in to get a catalytic converter but it seems it wasn’t necessary after all. Instead of charging me over $2000.00 to install a new one, Mike called to say he couldn’t see how it was needed. I’m so grateful for the honesty demonstrated at Short Pump Midas.

Wow what a great team! My truck had a serious drive train issue. Brad, Julie, and the staff at Midas Short Pump diagnosed, quoted and completed the repairs within 2 days. Remarkable turnaround. Took a lot longer than I thought for replacing just a tire valve. Then when I got impatient I walked to the back and seen a guy just standing around the truck doing nothing until I said something then he brought the keys to the front. And I noticed they got my truck stuck in a ditch. (I ended up going back to Midas to look at my brakes. They quoted me a grand just to replace front brakes. I ended up paying half at another shop. Please go to other options. They are literally raping people’s pockets clean.)

I have always used the Lexus dealer for all of my service needs for my Lexus. A few months ago, I waited too long for an oil change. I couldn’t get an appointment with my Lexus dealer. Out of necessity, I tried Midas in Short Pump, VA. They provided efficient, kind, and knowledgeable, same day, service. At the end of the oil change, I was offered a printed sheet of suggested services, with a honest statement that I could wait on these services. I did wait on the additional services. My tires needed to be replaced. I was given 3 options for tires. Today, right before leaving for a ski trip this coming Wednesday, I decided to go back to Midas. They were able to get my tires replaced same day! No the office doesn’t have the same luxury feel as the Lexus dealership however for low stress same day exceptional repair and customer service, I choose Midas to take care of my car service from now on. Of note: they even provide a complimentary car for use for long services, if needed. I am the only driver in my family so this is a nice value added service. Thank you Midas for making sure I am able to get my youngest son to and from school, get to and from work appointments, and safely drive through the mountains this winter.

Took car to get new battery, battery was not properly installed. Took it to another mechanic who fixed the problem no charge, was even kind enough to talk to Midas manager and explain what they did incorrectly. Brad offered refund for battery which was nice. Still wouldn’t go back based on not being able to install battery. UPDATE: decided to try to give them another shot since Brad was helpful. Called to get pricing for a tire alignment on a 2019 civic. They wanted over $200! Said they also had to do a steering sensor calibration which would be $100 as well as the alignment for over $100. I said I wanted to call around, I did and I could not find any other mechanic that wanted to charge for this! All of them said it is standard to be done with the alignment. This place is a money grab.

Took my 22 Lexus GX460 in for new tires. During the process there was an issue with some software used to complete the calibration. Brad and his team were outstanding. They kept me in the loop, explained exactly what the issue was, took responsibility and completely owned it until it was resolved. Midas just earned a customer for life. Well done everybody.

Dont bother making an appointment they wont have your vehicle serviced in time anyways. This is a recurring issue, take your business elsewhere.

One of the biggest scam places they wanted to charge me $1400 for a transmission cooler line for a 2007 Honda Odyssey just for checking they charge me $214 and for the tow it back $105 in total they charge me $319 for nothing. It’s ridiculous hey don’t go to Midas
