Great service at Midas getting new tires and oil change

I went to Midas to get my stability track and ABS fixed. They said they found the problem, gave me the total for the repair, and even offered a discount. They also mentioned I needed rear brakes, rotors, and pads. I agreed, expecting everything to be taken care of. When I went to pick up my car, they only charged me for the brake work. I asked the technician if all the warning lights on my dashboard were off, and he said yes. However, when I got in my car, the lights were still on—like a Christmas tree. They hadn’t fixed the main issue. I ended up taking it to a small shop, and they got everything fixed the same day for a much lower price than what Midas had quoted. Would I go back to Midas? Nope. That bridge is burned. I’d rather take my car to someone honest who stands by their work. I guess some win and some don’t wish them the best .

I had no issues with my Accord touring for 6 years. I spent thousands of dollars here in December of 2024. 5 weeks later, here are the results: 1. 2 trips back to have a faulty valve replaced on a tire I purchased here. The first trip back the lead mechanic said it was weather related and took no action. The second trip back, when pressure was down to 16 on the tire, they caught the valve leak and repaired it. 2. The car also developed an issue after these visits it did not have before their work where it now jerks noticeably in reverse. On my third visit after the repairs today to address this, I was told this was due to a transmission issue "outside their wheelhouse" and I would have to have another shop look at the car....They also cleared the error codes, and did not provide me with the error code, so the transmission shop is having to do their best to figure out what the issue is.... 3. Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed the 10% discount they promised me as a military veteran is no where to be found. 4. My car troubles aren't over, I'm ubering home now, and I'd strongly recommend you look elsewhere so you do not have a similar experience....

I have been to this mechanic multiple times for various issues - oil, brakes, tires, etc. They are always friendly and never bullshit you with unnecessary repairs or upgrades and are very accommodating. Richard always makes you feel welcome and like you came to the right place. I highly recommend them.

This review is long overdue, but anytime I can afford to go to a "real" shop or anytime I think about referring someone to a mechanic, I will go to this specific midas. Richard was such a blessing. My mom helped me getting brand new tires on my car for the first time ever, as well as other work and from beginning to end, Richard was communicative, honest, and most definitely did what he could to work with what I have. Whoever actually worked on my car did a fantastic job too, but customer service is everything at this shop and I didn't get to reply to his text, to check on the work but it's important that I do this review, because good customer service can be rare now days. Thank you Richard and Keystone Ave Midas!! I feel so much better driving my car and comfortable knowing where I'll go if I need to be seen in the future. ~Amber Edit: after I made my review, I read some others and I'm so glad Richard is getting all the kudos he deserves. Midas should hold onto him with all that they have. He is a wonderful manager and just from the brief communication over a couple of days, I'm comfortable with saying his moral compass as a person is set on doing right by people in general. A very rare feeling to get at an auto shop. Thank you again!
