STOLE MY COUSIN’S RENT MONEY - DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE This shop is under investigation for ROBBERY after one of their employees stole $2,000 from my cousin’s vehicle during a routine check-up. When he realized what had happened and confronted them, they cursed him out in Spanish instead of owning up to their crime. The police were called, and a report was filed. This business preys on hardworking people and has no shame about it. Their actions are disgusting, dishonest, and downright criminal. If you value your money and security, STAY FAR AWAY! I would put 0 stars but google doesn’t allow me. wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

DO NOT COME HERE JUST BECAUSE GOOD REVIEWS.THEY ALL FAKE OR ABOUT OIL CHANGES. I came to this place on June 4th 2023. I thought i was having a problem with the engine.When the engine is cold,it was starting over 2,000 rpms then it goes over 1000 rpms slowly under 3 minutes.He said its not normal,I told him my problem,i told him more than 3 times to make sure he understands . then i gave my keys to diagnose the problem. He gave me a list of parts to change. He charged me about 3700$ Just changed the iridium plugs and ignition coil for my 2006 lexus es 330 v6. i knew it was expensive but if it would get the job done i would be fine. i had the same problem yesterday. i took my vehicle to there again. they did something on it. then today which is june 6th. it happened again . i took my vehicle after work,and now he is telling me we need to change the injectors also.and one of the technician that works there said its normal . injectors wasnt even in the list. i paid over 3800$. i spent about 6 hours. and im still having the same issue. they did the wrong diagnosis,they changed the unnecessary parts just to take my money. Update. Its May 10th. After they changed my spark plugs and ignition coils,i had 4 different misfires.All of them were different cylinders,also they broke my engine cover,i asked him about it but he said it was like that when we got the car. Now im in one of the town in North Carolina. Im having that misfire again. this time its cylinder 5. He is telling me to go to closest Midas which is about at least 3 hours away from me. I cannot drive my vehicle. i dont know about the rest of the team but that “RANDY” lies. do not ever trust him and do not ever come here. he just messed up my vehicle. i cannot trust in my vehicle because of him. every month another misfiring issue although he charged 4k$ for spark plugs and coils. ANOTHER UPDATE ON MAY 16th. i checked cylinder 2,4,5,6 and all of them are different coils. i didnt even check the spark plugs. probably they are different too. this guys charged me 2k$ for labor and another 2k$ for parts. parts are not even mine,they are not even brand new,they are not even OEM. they all used parts. now im having misfires on cylinder 2,4 and 5. THEY GET YOUR OWN PARTS AND FIX YOUR PROBLEM SOMEWHERE ELSE 2.5.2025 UPDATE i have learned a lot of things from these guys,like not to trust any mechanic,first search on youtube,search the part prices on rockauto. these people are desperate losers,they have nothing to do with their lives,you cant make up your life like this. sometimes coming here to read the reviews. unfortunately people are still losing their money,its very sad to see. DO NOT COME HERE,idk how they still can in operation but something’s needs to be done by the law enforcement. this place needs to be closed,whoever is working there shouldnt work for any place

I was scammed by this center on 13-Dec-2024. I went there afternoon for an oil change and they told me that my car is not drivable and need to change the structs assembly and tires. They did not give me an estimate of the parts and changed without my consent and gave me a huge bill of $7132 in the end. I was totally ripped me off with a huge bill. IF THIS HAD BEEN GIVEN AS AN ESTIMATE in the beginning time, I would not have gone with this. For a Tire, they charged $388 where the online price of this part is close to $200 and the labor they charged is $3k which is way too high. And total work time they took is ~ 4hrs. So I wrote a review on next day and owner called me saying to take down this review and they will check on this and issue a refund in 3 business days. I checked the refund status on next three days and there is no positive signal on them which shows their incapability to keep their word and fake integrity. Then I went through the recent reviews and identified their pattern of SCAM which are targeted on the NEW customers. My TPMS is light is still on and from their bill they said TPMS kit has been changed. I consulted a LAW firm working on these kind of issues and realized there is a Texas consumer act protecting the rights of a consumer on this and planning to move on this aspect. There will not be of any use going to their customer complaints which owner gives below of every one star review. I request those who affected to follow the same. Anyways I plan to fight this legally. I got two invoices from the google reviews which will be taken as examples of the recent scams Update : 13/Jan/2025 - based on the attorney's suggestion, we did a detailed analysis with a Toyota dealer on the work and found only work done was 30% of the actual amount payed. The parts were aftermarkets parts which is elevated compared to the actual parts in the Toyota. I'm sending a demand letter to them as the first part of Court action. Update : 02/04/2025 - They have refused to accept my initial demand letter which I uploaded it here and I sent another another as well. They did not respond to it and and Im filing my claim on a Small scale court in williamson county based on my attorney. Requesting the recent consumers to upload their invoice in your reviews who got scammed. Thanks to whoever uploaded it earlier. I will update here once I get a date in the court.

If you are FILTHY RICH, go here! That's right. If you are worried on how to burn some extra cash, these guys make it happen for ya. Warning: DO NOT ENTER this auto repair INVOICE # 0021413. Service date :Jan 18, 2025 I went in on a Saturday wanting to have my vehicle checked as I heard creaking noises from under my vehicle whilst driving on uneven surfaces. First comment on hearing my problem? Buddy that's DANGEROUS. Fear can be judiciously used at times to make things work for you. 20 minutes later, I had a long list of things to fix : replacing lower control arms, replacing all brake pads & rotors etc for a total of $5000. I humbly requested to pay only diagnosis charge. Nada. I was told the wheels could come off and it could cause a major WRECK. I requested time. After some whispering with the owner, estimate is dropped to $4000. 20% discount in a jiffy. Trusting the EXPERTS, I obliged & made a full payment and left my vehicle to be returned the same day. When I call to pick up my vehicle, I was told that I would have to wait until Monday. Upon going to take my vehicle back, they were in a hurry to get me out the door. I was plainly handed the bill for $4000 and told I am good to go. I got back happy that I am no longer driving on dangerous wheels. But I heard the same exact noises from under my vehicle AGAIN. I decided to observe for a few days. I was perplexed. Maybe there was someone else who could help me burn more cash, a 2nd opinion? I took my vehicle with the same original complaint to another renowned auto repair. The creaking sounds? It was diagnosed that my vehicle's struts, upper control arms, coil Spring assembly, ball Joints were bad and need to be replaced. Now my estimate to fix these recommendations was $2700. This time I requested to really sleep on it & to have an opportunity to go back to the CASH BURN PROS at Midas. 15 minutes of re-diagnosis later, I am told my upper control arms are busted. And they tell me it happened due to pressure between the time I left their service center & my return. Midas cash burn estimate#2 = $3600. My eyes lit up at the $7600 cash burn opportunity. I asked about the struts & ball Joints (mentioned as an issue by the other service center). The owner says yes those need to be replaced. I asked why wasn't I told everything during their first diagnosis. He said whatever was immediately needed to be fixed was fixed & the rest (struts, ball joints, suspension spring) were listed as RECOMMENDED services on my bill. I go back and check my bill and VOILA, recommendations have VANISHED. PLAIN LIES. I restated that the noises for which I went in, persisted. His best offer was $3600 & he repeatedly says these are the best prices and we can go check anywhr. He admitted to marking up prices to run the business. Mark them up sky high eh? His laborers operate in GOLDEN GLOVES. He has no qualms saying his labor is more expensive than others! Comparison: The estimate from the 2nd service center was $2700 & it included more fixes than Midas. For lesser parts, lesser labor, the Midas estimate was $900 higher! No one beats them at cash burn. Lookup parts # & everything is overcharged. The owner was adamant that the only way left was going by 2nd set of estimates & pay up $3600 on top of $4006 I already paid. This time there was no danger in me driving around, probably safeguarding oneself from a manslaughter charge. I said that I would drop a detailed review about my experience, he made me wait till he gave a paper that had the number to call their Operations Director. AUDACITY.. And oh hey, on my original bill, my vehicle mileage was incorrectly mentioned as 154,000 whereas my actual mileage is close to 88,000. Their reviews have one bad review for every 2-3 good ones (paid reviews). If my experience at 10204 LakeCreek Parkway, Austin Tx 78729, helps keep at least 10 customers from CASH BURN & HEARTBURN, I think that my cash was well BURNT. The owner feels that he is immune to bad reviews or complaints because this is a franchise. BOTTOM LINE : Stay AWAY. PATHETIC EXPERIENCE

Requested a battery change. Got it back and the battery terminals were both loose and one was high on the post. Also charged $200 even though I brought my own battery. A bit expensive for a battery swap.

Today I went to this shop for an oil change. The service was highly concerning. An employee at the front desk asked to use my cellphone, claiming their shop phone wasn't working. Unfortunately, I agreed, and he used my cellphone to make a phone call. Afterward, I became suspicious. When the employee left the front desk, I asked another employee if I could use the shop phone to call a friend, making the excuse that my phone wasn't working. To my surprise, the shop phone was working perfectly fine! Why didn’t the employee use his own cellphone? Why not his other colleagues' cellphones? Why not the shop phone? Very suspicious! Also, they were supposed to call me when they were done with the oil change, but I never received any calls. Finally, the receipt’s feedback barcode was also blocked or not working, so I couldn’t raise my opinion about the service that I received. This experience has left me frustrated.

Unethical, liars, & possibly fraud -certainly deceptive trade practices! I just got scammed at this Midas location, Lake Creek in Austin, by Steven, 01/17/25. I have filed a complaint with Midas but they are independently owned, so I don't expect much. I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company and filing with the Texas Attorney General's Office and the BBB. I was scammed & overcharged based on possible fraud & lies by "Steven" at the Midas location at 10204 Lake Creek, Austin, TX 78729. I was told orally 3 items were "wrong" with my car. I told them only do the one service at $2100, which Steven indicated would have my car pass inspection at the Oil Change place (I'd just left from getting an oil change) across the street. His exact words "They will pass it." He said it more than once in response to me asking. I explained that I was about to go in for serious surgery & wanted it fixed for inspection at least before then but that I would not be driving for 2 months after that. I guess that was their cue to take advantage of a pressed for time "sucker." No paperwork was shown to me before service until after they got my payment, holding my car hostage. I was charged $4746.63. Thus, after they made me wait, while they goofed off and did nothing to my car for most of the over 2 hrs wait when they originally said 1-1.5 hours. When I finally heard them goofing off at hours 2+, I asked for an update. They said they were waiting on a part. I asked for my car back because they never said they didn't have any needed part nor did they provide any updates. They were not even working on my car most of the time. I asked for my car back because I had a sick child to pick up, and we were nearing rush hour traffic time. Then they said they had to put it back together. Within 5-10 minutes, they were suddenly finished. I saw no one drive up delivering a part. The kicker is that the oil change shop said their inspector was leaving at 3. My invoice says 2:58 pm check out. I got there at about 3:01. The oil change guy said he didn't know why Midas kept sending people over when they knew when the inspector left. I think there's something fishy over there because the angry guy was repeating inspection passing verbiage like he thought I was wearing a wire. The guy telling me this was quite irate. Of the $4746.63, over $2,816 was labor. For less than 1.5 hours of work that they made me wait almost 2.5+ hours for & they couldn't even honor the inspection promise. I understand the oil change shop may be separate, but Steven implied they were either an associated business or had an arrangement to send customers over there and get in. I will never use Midas again. They even kept my Autozone diagnostic that quoted what terror codes showed up & the one part at $239.99. There was no guarantee that was all that was wrong, but 2-3 times that the Midas original quote is outrageous. I could have gotten a reliable used car for $5000. My car might be worth only a little more than that. It certainly would have been a nice down payment on a new or new to me car. Unethical & financially devastating when I am looking at thousands for medical treatment.

Went here for a cheap oil change because I had a coupon. After the oil change I was told I had X, Y, Z wrong with my car and that I should get all of them serviced ASAP. I declined and took my car to my regular mechanic 2 days later to have them take a look at it. First, they told me that whoever had done my oil change had spilled oil all over the top of my engine. Then they told me that the parts I had asked them to look at were totally fine. Will never be going back.

This is not at all recommended. Not even once. If there's any negative review for this I would go with that. The way they charge is too much. They way they treat customers is very poor. I just had the worst experience in my whole life. Nobody ever treats customers this worst even after paying the whole amount they asked for. My vehicle is in good condition but I just wanted to check if whether oil needs to be replaced or if everything is okay and that's why I went there and asked them to check. They charged me $210.84 just for checking my vehicle which is for 15 min. And Surprisingly they came up with new problems saying I need to remove and replace Catalytic converter and need new Exhaust manifold gasket and it would cost around 3500$. I was like what the hell is this. You know what I had the new Catalytic converter few months back. Customers are not just being overcharged, but also charged for false statements which is frustrating. And when another customer approached me asking how their service is, I told about this and you know what happen they sent me out of the store and asked me to wait outside. I'm a customer not someone who came to their shop for begging. Also, the weather outside feels like 26°F and you tell a customer to go out in that weather. I was requesting them it's cold outside and still they don't care. I believe that businesses should operate with a sense of humanity and empathy toward their customers, but these people does not have humanity at least. Very Very disappointed not just for overcharging but for the way they treat their customers. After all this, I thought of letting people know this and wrote a review. And they saw this review and called me back with name called Steve and asked me to come to the shop saying they would like to refund the amount. I went there and asked where's Steve and the same guy who treated me like this before said Steve went out and they started asking me why did you leave a bad review. Another customer was also not satisfied with their service and when I was there at the store even they were saying me don't come here. I believe there's a freedom of speech for everyone and I believe First Amendment protects the freedom of speech of all people in the United States.

This shop is AMAZING!! Erik showed great customer service! I was running a bit behind schedule yesterday and he was not able to get me in but assured me that I could get in today which was tomorrow. As soon as I walked in, he asked for my keys and told me that he would take care of it for the inconvenience caused yesterday!! I was amazed and it was unexpected! I will definitely be back!

Went here today bright and early for an oil change which was very quick. Eric the manager was very professional and kind. He gave me advice on what to do with my other car and was willing to look at it also to make sure what went wrong. Just want to say thank you to the entire staff and Nate for doing an amazing job today.
