I had been to this Midas location back in June 2024, and had some shocks put on my work van, I knew they were over priced, but since I was offered a credit line and I was there and the only customer there I decided to get the shocks placed on my van, for whatever reason, the service was good, and the manager at the front desk was knowledgeable and polite. However, I went back a couple of weeks ago because I had a leak coming from my brakes I thought it could be dangerous so I brought it back in to this location I had already looked up with the repair could cost for the part Yet I sat for almost 3 hours, waiting to have my vehicle looked at, and though I knew the brakes may need to be looked at in the near future these guys gave me a quote of $5500 Yes $5500 for brakes and two other parts that I did not even need to stop the minor leak and it was going to take all day, luckily, through my three hours of sitting in the waiting room and overhearing other prices, they were being thrown around to customers for simple maintenance stuff that was coming up in the thousands of dollars with some young women, and clearly some unknowledgeable guys that were in there I believe they call that throwing darts to see what sticks? Luckily, I sought a second opinion and save myself about $4000 in the process Needless to say, I will not recommend this location again, nor return. And FYI, the bank that Midas uses to extend credit, likes to move the goal post after extending credit so that they can charge late fees

DON'T NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!! WISH GIVE THIS PLACE A 0. BRUNG MY CAR IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. Steve told me i had a bunch of things wrong with my car. I went ahead and brung my car in and had repairs done. I got my car back sounding worse than when I dropped it off. Brung it to a brake shop, they put my passenger brake on backwards. When i called Steve, he tried to tell me i needed to replace my brakes and rotors, when i just had them changed in December. All Steve could throw in my face is how much of a "DEAL" he gave me. I would not do anything here. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

Always have a great experience at midas. The guy at the front STEVE, does a great job. Their coupons for oil changes make it very affordable. They brought me into the shop so they could show me what was wrong with my car during their complimentary check. They always tell me what’s best for my car, and are honest when I ask them about the severity of the issues.

DON’T BUY THE GROUPON! Steve is awesome, and let me know the Groupon prevents the team from getting paid hourly for the service, meanwhile they will price match. So just tell them you skipped to Groupon to benefit the workers and it should still be a similar price for an oil change 👍

Jay is great he put air in my tires and fixed a strange beeping in my car all for free. He wouldn't even let me tip him. Fast fix it was maybe 30 minutes of time.

My son took his car in. They replaced the crank sensor and recommended new front tie rods and struts. The car broke down as soon as he drove it off the lot. Same problem. He took it back. They had it 5 more days, took it to Kyle TX to someone more knowledgeable than the mechanics at Austin location. Said that they didn’t know what was wrong. He took it to another mechanic. The sensor Midas put in was bad. Midas apparently didn’t check that the second time around. They fixed the car and checked the tie rods and struts. Said they were in perfect condition. Midas had also replaced the manifold gasket. The new mechanic said that there was no reason to do that. Midas cost $1034 plus 8 days rental car. Darrius is the name of the Midas “mechanic”. Complaint filed with attorney general and BBB. AG office gave a phone number for a group of lawyers to call. He did try and get Midas to make this right. They declined. Update: On Nov 18th someone named Chris Godwin said he would investigate the allegations of fraud. He subsequently said that they were mailing my son a check and that he would need to sign a release of liability and take down any negative reviews. Now, it's Jan 2 and no check has arrived. They tried to use the holidays as an excuse, but it's been a month now. They are just jerking him around. He emailed them AGAIN this morning and has yet to receive a response. This is ridiculous. There are company emails from them saying that they are issuing a refund. This can't be disputed. I advised my son to give him until tomorrow to respond, then follow up with a lawyer. He has the receipts, the emails from Midas and the other mechanic has said they would gladly submit documentation showing that the crank sensor was not new and that the recommendation for new struts and tie rods was unfounded.

They changed oil without changing oil filter and left old one on. Most beginner mechanics know this ruins the new oil. Left oil one full qt low, knowing I was about to be on a road trip with my family. Lied and said my belt needed to be replaced and tried to charged me 350 dollars for a 100 dollar part that I knew also didnt need to be replaced. sadly this is the norm in this area for mechanics, to lie through their teeth and blame austin roads.

I had just got a flat tire on Saturday after leaving the Austin Zoo. I live in New Braunfels so I was far away from home. I pulled into the lot and asked exactly this way can I PAY someone for some air to be put in my tire. The man at the desk told me to wait a moment, there was no one in the lounge and no cars in the shop, I was not sure what I was waiting for, then the desk person tells me to pull my vehicle up to a bay. I pull up the was a tech on his phone so yelled to get his attention, the tech started to fill the tire then the tire exploded, we look at each other and I say looks like i need a new tire, the tech then says to me, you came in here with that busted ass tire, I said wait a minute I just asked you if I can buy a tire what is your problem, then the tech told me to go inside to buy a tire. I went back inside for the office guy to tell me we do not have tire in stock, I can get you a tire on Monday. This is after I called discount tire to find out they had one in stock .3 of a mile away, I was told by Midas a Automotive business that also sells tires to go to Discount tire. I would have paid extra trip time if someone would have gone the .3 of a mile to pick up that tire. Umm you guys just blew up my spare, so with no tire I drove my vehicle out of Midas (A REPAIR SHOP) on a metal spare no tire for .3 of a mile to Discount tire. I WOULD HAVE PAID EXTRA FOR SOMEONE TO GET ME A TIRE BUT INSTEAD I GOT THE BIG F-U WHEN I WAS A PAYING CUSTOMER. DO NOT GO TO MIDAS, GO .3 OF A MILE TO FIRESTONE DOWN THE STREET CAUSE THAT WHERE MIDAS WILL SEND YOU ANYWAYS.

I wanted to specifically leave a 5-star review for Steve, who was friendly and very helpful in every way. I showed up needing a PPI for a used vehicle I was interested in and Steve helped me get set up right away. He listened to my concerns and provided the info I needed, explaining anything that I had questions on.

Terry and Jay were super helpful and knowledgeable about my cars problems. My front, rear differential needed to be replaced from wear and tear, and came in, they found the part, and gave me a reasonable price. I was nervous as hell, but they showed me the problem, took pictures of it and got me scheduled for that day service. Picking it up the following day. Tremendous team you have at the Ben white location. Thank you for the service and quality of your mechanics.
