A truly awful experience. On December 17th, my vehicle broke down on the highway after losing a lug nut. I stopped at the Meineke in South Bend, Indiana, to get my vehicle repaired and back on the road. While there, I was informed by the Meineke staff that my tires had been installed incorrectly, with the inside facing out and the outside facing in (inside/outside is literally written on the tire). I was also told that this improper installation could cause further damage to my vehicle, including issues with brakes, suspension, traction, and increased tire wear. Given my urgent need to continue my trip and my inability to purchase new tires at the time (as suggested by the Meineke team), I was required to sign a document acknowledging the safety risk and accepting full responsibility for any issues that might arise as a result of the improperly installed tires before they allowed me to leave. Unfortunately, personal circumstances, including multiple family deaths, delayed my ability to address this matter with the original Meineke location until January 24th. When I brought my vehicle to the location where the tires were installed and explained the situation, including the recommendations and details from the Meineke in South Bend, I was told they would perform an inspection and investigate the matter. After the inspection, I was informed that the tires were not installed incorrectly, despite the fact that the tires still have “inside” and “outside” markings that are clearly reversed. The Meineke location also stated they would not replace the tires, nor would they offer a discount or resolution for the potential issues caused by this situation. I feel that my time and safety have been disregarded by the Meineke team. I also do not feel comfortable taking my vehicle back given the problems and the lack of responsibility this Meineke team has shown. The conflicting statements between the Meineke in South Bend and the location where the tires were originally installed are deeply concerning. Based on the feedback I received in South Bend, it is clear that the tires were installed incorrectly, which poses safety risks and causes unnecessary wear. As someone with a career in customer service, I understand the importance of compromise and accountability. I am not requesting additional repairs or discounts for potential damage to my vehicle; my only request is that Meineke replaces the tires free of charge, as they were installed incorrectly. I had taken my car to the same Meineke multiple times between installation and now and the issue was not discovered by their team. Unfortunately, the original location has declined to take responsibility for this issue, which has led me to escalate my concern to their corporate customer support team. The corporate support team told me that it is not their responsibility to resolve the issue.

I have been a customer at the Meineke Care Center at 3150 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203 since 2012 and I am very sad to report that I am ending my relationship with the business. On Thursday, January 23, 2025 around 4:50pm EDT, I had a phone conversation with an associate (Louis) who could not appropriately communicate why the cost was so high and struggled to execute the online price quoting system to provide a quote to pay for the vehicle. I then asked to speak to the manager. Tyler (current manager) got on the phone. I explained the situation about the 2022 Ford Edge that he was replacing the battery for. On the phone, they were charging me over $600 to replace a 720amp battery that online was priced for (at the highest with labor) $311. Tyler was very rude, very disrespectful and then stated that "his people" were for profit and then proceeded to display unprofessional decorum, hanging up the phone on me. It was hurtful, but definitely will tell who know me that Meineke Car Center does not care for its customers.

I have been going to Meineke for the past eight years and four cars later and have always had good service. Recently the location I go to has been remodeled and has a good professional atmosphere! I don’t have to worry about my car because I know it’s in good hands.

I went to Meineke a second time, and Thomas told me the estimate of the amount with two labor fees, per labor $160, and I said, Why are you adding a two-labor fee? And he removed it for one labor fee. Why is he unfair? Do not lie to your customers anymore.

My first appointment was canceled by Meineke itself. I went in for my appointment one evening, and the gentleman at the counter said that they had canceled my appointment and sent all of their workers home. Seems odd and quite unprofessional for a 4 o’clock appointment. I decided to give them a benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following week. The attendant promised me some sort of discount on my future oil change, ended up being some menial 20% off. Take note that I had over $1000 worth of work done at this appointment but the 20% off only applied to the $75 oil change. R At this appointmentI was quoted $2400 for a new driveshaft. After doing a bit of research and consulting both Honda as well as other car repair shops, I learned that this repair should be about $1000. When I took The car to another shop they said that the driveshaft was actually in fine working order. On top of this, I was supposed to get an alignment which never happened.

Pricing is high need remember people have to be travel to work and pay rent utilities two lower ball joints cost 489.00 which I supplied parts myself not looking like I return

The most expensive fuel filter I could find anywhere in the world is $80 the cheapest is $25, they charged me $150 and another $150 for 15 minutes of labor. My appointment was at 3pm, my truck didn’t enter the garage until 5pm. So overall it took them 2.5 hours to do a 15 minute job, I was severely overcharged, and they called me Jamal instead of Jamar after writing my name down multiple times lol. And he said he gave me a deal for being patient. Thanks

I do not even want to give one star to this location… let me start by saying I have taken my vehicle to this location for a while now for oil changes, they told me that my rack and pinions were “leaking bad” and if it went out I would lose power steering and it would lock up. Me being the person to trust in what I am told gets up the $1,500 I was told it would cost me, make an appointment bring my vehicle in on 10/4 and was told it would be done by 10/5 evening at the latest. I was called in the am on 10/5 and was told it actually wasn’t my rack but it was the ENGINE COOLER LINES…… so I said go ahead and fix it. I had also brought up that my air bags weren’t working , if they could change them over to stints. They said yes, altogether all the work was $2,450. They call me on 10/6 and tell me that the wrong cooler lines came in so it would be no later than 10/7 afternoon. Then on 10/8 they call and say that for some reason the battery light came on and they wanted to check into it. Well I got off work went up there and they said the light has went off. I was checking my vehicle out and the guy asked the other guy to try to hook up the scanner to see if tht port would scan bc earlier it wasn’t getting enough power bc the battery was acting up. He hooked it up and layed it on my truck I looked at it and it said “scanning” and had a bar like it was loading….. he never told me abt any codes but then got the battery tester out and told me the battery was bad. As I am waiting I look down and my headlight assembly is broken, so I was talking to my friend abt it and she said well the other light looks worse. I walk over to look at it and it is broken to ON BOTH SIDES!!!!!! So my lights were just sitting in there. I was crying turn around and see now my SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IS ON…… which clearly was not when I took it to them (the pictures they took of my dash when I dropped it off proves it wasn’t), so now I am seriously upset that now I paid them all this money, my lights are broken AND my service engine soon light is on!!!!!! I ask for them to call the manager and he does and says I will have to come bk tmrw…….. so I did not take my truck, I went back the next day. The manager calls me and says he has to watch the cameras bc all the work tht needed done no one should have been inder the hood. I told him plz do. He calls me back and pretty much tells me I am lying I brought it there like that, but he will do a goodwill deed and put another battery in for me. I left work went there and they tell me they were instructed to tell me to take my vehicle….. WITH THE STVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ON, that was not on when it arrived there and now TWO BROKEN HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY’s…….I then ask abt the battery since he said he put another in, and come to find out HE DID NOT!!!!!! They also threw my keys IN THE FRONT SEAT OF MY TRUCK…… with the doors unlocked in the middle of their lot!!!!! I then set outside from 3:45 to almost 6pm waiting for “Skyler” to call me or come there and the employee said he had not responded to him……… This is NOT ok, this is NOT how places should treat customers bc this is definitely how they lose business. I also contacted corporate and am trying to get into contact w someone, I am going to the bbb also. The parts for my vehicle is NOT cheap and they need to take fix what was broken while my vehicle was in their hands. I def WILL NOT let this go!!!!! DONT TAKE UR VEHICLE TO THEM UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO BE MESSED UP OR DONE WRONG!!!!! ZERO STARS FROM ME!!!! And why there wires hanging out of places that weren’t even supposed to be nowhere around in beyond me……. Explain that!!!!

I went up there for a basic oil change. They gave me a free inspection to let me know what’s right, wrong and future repairs I would need for my car. Everything quick and simple. Great service all the way around. I will be back to repair some of the issues with my car . They have them a new loyal customer

They will try to fix your truck but we'll put a dent in your vehicle like they did in mine and I don't understand why it takes so long for you guys to get in contact with me after my car was involved with something that your guys's establishment I wanted to give a good review until I received a dent in my Yukon
