Made an appointment and it took 2.5 hours to do a state vehicle inspection. Should take 20 to 30 minutes, max. Service agent told me it was company policy for 67 point inspection. This should be an option, not mandatory. to waste this much of my time. It feels like you are digging to find something wrong with my car so that you can charge me for services other than the inspection. A little rude and greedy.

Update... Called the line below for resolution... Same standoffish service, no closer to resolution. Wasted time. Avoid this place like the plague Horrible. Went $800 over their quote which is messed up. If you're going to overcharge at least be polite. Standoffish and inconsiderate service. I will be letting my friends know to avoid this place.

The guys were nice and polite, we took in three vehicles for state inspection stickers. The truck needed an oil change and some work and we wondered if they would hit us up on all three vehicles but the other two cars passed just fine with nothing additional needed. They kept in contact with us so we knew what was going on and we will see them again in one year. Thank you for your wonderful service

My car wouldn’t start in the very cold whether I was annoyed about that but I called my closest Meineke and they were very quick to help me out. They even gave me a free tow explain the issue to me and fix it up and i got my car back in less than 24 hrs and every-time I called with questions they were always very understanding and patient and explained things for me. I did appreciate how quick they were to attending to my car and fixing the issue so quick.

**BEWEAR** Car owners $219 for a diagnosis that Autozone would have done for free. Then repair cost that is twice your local mechanic. I ran. Never again $200 learning lesson. They will say they can get you in quick but don't trust then it's about his much money they can get from you. As the same as Macs In Zion Crossroads Va. Bad actors- stay clear of both of these rip out garages !

Had to drive 8 hrs home and car was making whirring noise. Meineke told me my alternator was gonna need to be replaced and it was gonna be over $1,000 (along with 6 other issues). That didn’t make sense to me so I took it to another mechanic who said there were two wheel bearings that needed replacing. Replaced them and the issue went away. If I would’ve gone with Meineke I would’ve wasted my money on something that wasn’t a problem and then my car would’ve likely broken down in the middle of a snow storm. Wheel bearings are an obvious thing to catch and somehow they missed it. Also $1,000 is an insane price for replacing an alternator.

Worst repair shop I ever been to! I’m a mechanic myself and went to get inspection here and they try to scam the hell out of you they failed me for a tiny bit of rust on one rotor and then try to make a sale off of me saying it would be $750 to replace it! Like bro I just replaced the pads and it took me 30 minutes and the rotor was absolutely fine and functional. SCAM ALERT!

About one year ago, I was deceived by this shop. My car’s air conditioning wasn’t working, so I asked the shop to repair it. They told me that I needed to replace the compressor, which would cost over 2,000 dollars. Thinking it was too expensive, I went to another shop for a second opinion. Just a bit further down the road, I found a Ford dealership. I asked them to take a look, and they told me the compressor was fine. They fixed the air conditioning for just 100 to 200 dollars. At that time, I was busy studying at UVA and preparing to graduate, so I didn’t take any action against them. But if I were to hire a lawyer, you’d better watch out. Don’t think I’ve forgotten about this.

I arrived at Meineke at 1906 Emmett Street North one hour before closing time on Saturday with a flat tire no appointment and 6 cars ahead of me, all needing to be serviced before closing. Thirty minutes later the flat tire had been replaced with the spare. The very kind mechanics shuffled their workloads so I could drive home. You can't ask for better service than that. Andy Mank

I have a 2013 Focus with Aluminum wheels on an iron wheel hub. The two different metals corrode each other so when my front tire went flat there was no way for me to get it off, it was stuck on there. The folks at Meineke were a huge help, and gave great customer service. Because of them I was able to make it to be with my family over the holidays. Although I was embarrassed to ask for help with something as simple as putting the spare tire on these folks showed that the task was not beneath them, they knew they could help and were willing to do it…no matter how simple the job.

I went in today to get a state inspection done, after calling the night before to confirm they could take me. I arrived 10 minutes before opening which they asked me to do and then they did intake and took my key. They called me 1 minute before closing saying that they did not get to me car before closing, and only gave me 30 min notice to pick up my keys before they would leave it there until Monday. Very disappointing

My care broke down just as I was approaching their parking lot on 29. So I was able to pull into their lot and left my car there until the next day when I got a ride back to their shop. They Took care of all my needs and had it finished in just a couple of hours even though I didn't have an appointment and they had never serviced my car before. Thank you to all! Happy New Year!!

I recently had an issue with a stubborn bolt while trying to change my license plate. After calling around town, most places quoted me $65 just to take care of it, which felt a bit steep for such a small task. Then I stopped by Meineke and they went above and beyond! The team came out, used the right tools to remove the bolt, and didn’t even charge me a penny. Their kindness, honesty, and willingness to help truly set them apart. I’ll be coming back here for all my future auto needs. Highly recommend them to anyone!

Once I told them I had a warranty the price doubled. Could have gotten the alternator replaced at another shop but it was a Sunday. The cost of towing it and paying the $200 diagnostic test would have cost me to where I had to get it done at this location. I would advise anyone to try another shop first and if you do use this one don't tell them you have a warranty before they give you a price. $1600 for a new alternator
