This place is GREAT! They got my car in right on time, and sent me a text when they were done with inspection. Everything was listed and there were pictures of things that were wrong. The manager was very straight forward and did not pressure me in anyway. They finished the repairs in the time they gave me. I am extremely happy with the service at this shop on State St in Boise. Thank you gentlemen. I'll be back.

I got an oil change here that wasn’t done correctly and ended up on the side of the freeway due to my car smoking from leaking oil (and had lost all the oil). This shop took accountability immediately. They reimbursed me for the tow truck that pulled me off the highway and paid for a tow to get my car to their shop where they said they would fix any damage from this completely on them (which could have been a lot of $$). Additionally they’ll be giving me some free services for the inconvenience, which I didn’t even ask for. Humans make mistakes; it’s how they handle them that speaks character and I believe these guys have great character. I highly respect their honesty and making sure I didn’t lose any money from this. Thank you, Kevin, for handling this so professionally and honestly regardless of the anxiety I’m sure it caused you guys.

There was one car in the bay. I dont know why he wouldnt service my vehicle and there was still 2 hours till closing. Of course they’ll come back with, “Oh, so sorry to hear about that” or Whatever…… Its so hard to find decent people willing to help everyone:/ Shame!! Valvoline down the way from them was SO quick and so NICE:) Thank you Valvoline!!

CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! On Monday, October 28, 2024, I took my new used 2000 GMC Yukon XL to Meineke on West State Street in Boise, Idaho for an inspection and service. I purchased this vehicle as is and have no regrets. However, I knew I wanted it to have a thorough inspection so I could find out what needed to be serviced and To make sure it was in good working order. Since the car is basically 25 years old, I knew it would need at least minimal service and repair. I actually wasn’t sure where to take my Yukon, because I wanted to have it thoroughly inspected and also work with someone who was honest and had integrity. Because I am not a mechanic and don’t know what is going on, I wanted to find a company I could trust. I am so grateful to say that I made the right decision in working with Charley at Midas. My vehicle did not come with the necessary tools to lower the spare tire from the back that enters a space near the license plate and did not include a jack. While they were doing the inspection, I was pleased that I was able to find the tools that I needed for the spare tire at jalopy jungle, which was walking distance! When I came back, Charley went over the results of the inspection in detail. On the computer, it even showed pictures of what needed to be replaced or repaired. This gave me confidence that what he was showing me was accurate and not some made up or exaggerated issues to inflate my bill! If I had everything serviced and repaired and replaced, the bill was around $4000 plus. He knew that I did not have that much money and it was a struggle for me. However, I knew I had to get certain things done immediately. So, I spent about half of the total to have critical issues dealt with, including replacing my front brakes and other things related to my transmission, etc. I don’t have the paperwork with me, however, I feel a piece of mind that I got done what I needed to have done . Additionally, there was an insane situation where all of the lug nuts on all four wheels were custom security, Lugnuts that required a special key/tool that is unique and something he had never seen! He has specialized tools to remove Lugnuts of all kinds, however, he did not have That custom key! The place I bought it also said they did not have it. In order to do the work on my vehicle, it was going to require that all my tires be removed. So, I believe it took them two hours to remove those Lugnuts! This was a very stressful situation for me, however, God bless Charley! He me that he was not going to charge me for the labor! Additionally, he would be putting on regular Lugnuts. With all the labor that needed to take place, I would need to stay overnight in Boise. I don’t know if this will get him in trouble, however, he is my hero! Knowing my financial situation, he reduced his bill by $100 so I could find accommodations for the night! The next day they discovered that because it was a custom wheel, I was going to need a thinner lug nut. So, they ordered the new ones! The whole thing was quite insane ! It would’ve been one issue if there was security Lugnut per wheel, but all of them were security custom Lugnuts! I believe they were 36 of them! Anyway, they made it happen! This is why I entitled my review, “CUSTOMER FOR LIFE”! I know the importance of taking care of and maintaining my vehicle and I’m hoping this will be my last. Even though it is 25 years old, I believe if I have the proper maintenance, repair, and sometimes replacement of parts, I just may be able to keep her for a long time! Again, I say this, because I feel very grateful to have found Meineke and particularly Charley who has integrity, is straightforward and honest. I understand that Meineke is a business and needs to make money and be profitable. Meineke is not a charity and it’s important to, compensate them for their service and quality products. However, I appreciate being treated with kindness, compassion, and understanding. Charley knew that if I had the money, I absolutely would’ve paid more and had everything done. However, I will be back soon!

First time I used there service ! My brake light was let on my dashboard I thought I would try there serve . Amazing customer service! Very honest !! Here I took my truck and thinking I needed brakes and just the brake fluid was low and they filled it with no charge !! Great customer service! I would highly recommend them to everybody to take their vehicle to their service. I’ll be a repeat customer here in the future.Mike Rice

Charlie is awesome, honest and on point as well very trustworthy. We have been using this shop for a while and he is the best and reason we continue to return. Other techs in his absence need to be a bit better with communication. Overall great experience and I have referred quite a few people and highly recommend this shop for service.

I took our car in to have the AC checked, which was making a noise. Instead of checking that out they made a list of other repairs they said we needed. So, besides not checking out what I brought it in for it took them 3 hours instead of the estimate hour and a half! After taking it somewhere else they diagnosed it right away as simply a hose that was disconnected! Wow!

We are able to make appointments usually the same day. They are always on schedule and give us any discount available. They are friendly and attentive to giving good customer service. We feel like they are knowledgeable and recommend only what is necessary.
