I was referred to Tuan by a friend here in Ocean Beach. My brakes started making an extremely loud crunching/squeaking noise out of nowhere. This required immediate attention not only for safety reasons. But I visit customers as a licensed home remodeler. Obviously pulling up to a home with a loud crunching and ear piercing Squeal is not the way to make a good first impression. Tuan Was able to schedule me that same day. And even let me borrow a Toyota Tacoma as a loaner, so I could continue my work day. I was able to pick my car back up with the brakes changed that same day. Was extremely satisfied with my experience.

Made an appointment to have my car inspected. They didn't honor my appointment (that I made the day before) and told me it wasn't a "drive through car place." Yeah.... that's why I made the appointment. Leaving it all day wasn't an option as we arent local to OB, which is why I made the appointment and was told it would only take a few hours. I was happy to wait, but an older guy told me he was too busy. Why make appointments when you aren't going to keep them?? So frustrating and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

This place is spectacular! Helped me even being on disability and -ave my new home van finally getting upgraded correctly! Restaurant next door VAL'S a superb low price choice while waiting and quieter than average shop in a way safer location! I took my car to Tuan from 2011-2018 and started going back to him this year. I moved to a different neighborhood and tried to find a mechanic close by, but I went through 4 mechanics before taking it back to Tuan at the Ocean Beach location. I have very limited car knowledge, but Tuan clearly answers all of my questions and shows me the worn parts vs what they should look like. He has very reasonable prices and has given me discounts on oil changes and brake inspections for being a repeat customer.

The owner was very friendly and communative. He has a nice shop to handle you auto needs. He is very knowledgeable about many cars and offers very wise advice. His prices were extremely fair and affordable. I highly recommend Maxoto due to their low prices and honesty with the business they run.

We needed a mechanic to look at our converted van we travel in. Our check engine light was on and our brakes were squeaking, loud! Tuan and his team were easy to work with, very honest, and had fair prices. Our van was a big job and they handled it with ease. Tuan even followed up with me after i picked up my van to be sure everything was running correctly! I would highly recommend them for any services.

As a female who has encountered some bad shops, I was looking for a reputable car repair place near downtown/Little Italy. After searching online and calling around I came across Maxoto Auto Service. From the moment Tuan, the owner, answered the phone (which was right at closing time), I knew I was in good hands and he understood the issue relating to my headlight. He spent 20 minutes explaining everything in great detail and set up an appointment for me the next morning. He fixed the issue quickly and the cost was reasonable. Very happy with the service performed and will return. I highly recommend this place.

Wow! Really good quality service, I was having trouble with opening my gas door. I stopped in and they dropped everything they were doing to help me out and get it fixed. The quality of care they give to their customers is unmatched. All the other shops close by didn’t even give me the time and day. Highly recommended this place without hesitation

Needed brakes done and the price was very reasonable and they did the job in the time it's supposed to take! That's rare these days, plus the brakes were perfectly balanced! I'm a happy customer, I'd definitely recommend them.

I brought my car to maxauto to replace power steering hose and was impressed by the ease and friendly service as well as the quality of work performed. I absolutely feel confident that the work performed is solid and done correctly. Robin is great. She is very competent and efficient. The whole experience was good. They take care of you like you are part of their community. Reasonable price. Quick service. Honest. I will bring my car here for any future maintenance or repair.

I own an older vehicle that has needed a few repairs over the past year ( its darn near rebuilt now ) Dan is amazing ! he is very knowedgeable about everything on my vehicle . He makes it clear what my van needs and is correct everytime .The work is done in a resonable time and the costs are fair. I recommend Maxoto and Dan highly !
