After much frustration with another Repair shop. I took my vehicle in for electrical issues after a starter had been replaced by another shop and headlights were not working. Mattei's Garage quoted me more than 50% less than the other shop quoted to fix. Dropped my car off in am and they had my car ready the next morning. I will be using them going forward for all of my auto repairs. Courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable

My truck had an issue going on in the evaporative emission system. Brought my truck in on a Wednesday and by Friday it was ready! I was super impressed with the time frame . The price was fairly reasonable considering a dealer would’ve charged me double and I’m a female…. Highly recommended these professionals.

They went above and beyond to figure out the issue with my AC. They didn't charge me for the initial compressor replacement after finding out the actual problem was in the climate control board.

I had a check engine light for my evap system. Most places I talked to didn’t even bother to talk to me before payment around 80 dollars. I called this place and the owner Mr. Larry invited me to a consultation session about the problem and guided me in depth how to resolve it with DIY methods and did not ask for any money. He just wished me good luck with my studies. After following his advice, the check engine light disappeared. First time in my life, a business worked so hard not to get my money. I am certain that honesty and doing honorable work is their code of work. My car’s future work is theirs and I recommend this garage to everyone. At this day and age, it is incredibly difficult to find honest people doing honest work.

I went to Mattei's garage for the first time last January for a brake failure issue on my Volvo XC 90. Larry, the owner, saw me straight away and kindly worked with me to make the repair as soon as possible and was also flexible to accommodate my needs. In the end, it turned out that some of the repair could be done under warranty so I had to move the car to the Volvo dealership, but Larry's quote for the same work was even lower than what Volvo would have charged (if it weren't covered by warranty). So great service, fair transparent pricing, excellent communication from everybody, especially Andrew, and kudos to Larry who is both honest, super nice and definitely very competent - five star garage!

Larry is an honest man who runs and honest garage. I brought my F-150 in and Larry talked with me for over 10 minutes while they were very busy. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my truck and his employees acted in the same honest and upfront manner. Highly recommend Mattei’s for anyone in the area!

My first visit to Mattei's Garage was awesome. The shop is clean, the staff is very knowledgeable and NOT condescending to those of us who don't know much about cars. They were very honest, trustworthy, and didn't waste my money on stuff I don't need. I had a great experience, and I'll definitely be back.

Not recommended. They could not keep an appointment I had made, but since they generally seemed unorganized, a day past the appointment date I just ran in there and took my car back before these guys could touch my vehicle. Not good. Wish I could recommend someone, but I don't know any in this area of town. MotorWerks and/or AutoPro in Cordova would be a lot better.

A garage full of clowns. Larry will try to sell you on the competency of his crew but charm doesn't repair cars. These jokers will take their time and return your car in even worse condition. Wasted time and money trusting these folks. I wouldn't trust this garage boiling an egg after dealing with their constant excuses, shoddy work, and flaky communication. This circus is a huge embarrassment to the original owner. Shame on this pathetic business.

At first I thought I had a bad experience, but now I'm inclined to think I was outright scammed. - Sprung $350 in extra charges on me after the car was disassembled. - I asked for some time to think this over, which they agreed to. Then called back 75 minutes later to say had changed their mind and needed the space, so I could either agree to the additional work immediately or pay them $400 to put my car back together without fixing it. - Overcharged my card $600 more than the billed total. Claimed it was an "accident" when I came back to correct it. I was shocked by all of this because the reviews are so good, but I would definitely recommend steering clear of this place.

Went in for a fairly simple suspension issue. They assured me they could fix it. Made an appointment over 3 weeks out so his “specialist” could work my issue. However, the owner Larry was dishonest and didn’t keep the original appointment…so I rescheduled :( He also charged me $150 for a “diagnostic fee” that I had already diagnosed. I was originally recommended to him by a neighbor. Instead, after getting strung along, I went elsewhere after I had been rescheduled and forgotten about over the course of 3 months. Very disappointed. He could have had a life long & loyal customer but instead I won’t be returning. Bottom line…this place is filled with a bunch of dishonest swindlers that don’t have the technical expertise to fix relatively easy issues.

Passing through Memphis on our way back up to the east coast. They didn't have the space to fit us in without charging an arm and a leg but told us to drive up and they would take a look anyway. They gave us some advice out of the kindness of their hearts and put our minds at ease. Didn't actually end up giving them any service in the end, but I still felt I needed to leave them a review. They're total class act.
