They reported my mileage wrong (doubled the actual mileage) to Carfax. Owner Jimmy Matlock refused to correct it with Carfax, told me sorry about my luck and asked me to leave. A $24k deal I had negotiated with a buyer fell through when Jimmy called the buyer telling them he wouldn't correct the reported mileage RESPONSE: Don't try and lie and take credit for something you didn't do. Printing out notes on an invoice and giving them to me doesn't resolve the issue and you know it. You have to open a case with carfax, fill out forms, and submit documentation which Jimmy refused to do. And when he called my buyer and told him he wasn't going to even try and fix the issue the buyer immediately walked away. I'm the one who ultimately had to work with carfax over the next few weeks to correct the problem not you. You did nothing but create a problem, refuse to fix it and walk away, all while treating me like dirt.

Friendly and efficient service at a fair price. Unfortunately, the problem I had with my truck was not fixed from what I had asked them to do. Will likely have to return to do a deeper diagnostic, but they still do great work!

I went to Matlock for an oil change, which was scheduled. When I got there, I explicitly asked for 5W-30. Despite that, they used 5W-40, without asking me. 5W-40 oil is thicker, and increases wear on the car, while reducing fuel economy. Also, the posted price for a synthetic oil change was $87, but I wound up paying $120 before tax! They said it was because I needed a canister oil filter, and 1 additional qt of oil, but it still seemed overpriced. For comparison, I paid $88 for an oil change from Take 5, 2 years earlier (of course there's inflation, but still). Why advertise synthetic oil changes as being $87 if you know oil changes can be significantly more expensive? Also, since they do a free "53-point inspection" on your vehicle, an oil change takes 1 hour. I wish I knew that before wasting my time waiting there, but they never told me it would take so long. Some people might prefer the inspection though, but it would be nice if they at least tell you when your bring your car. Every other oil change I've ever gotten takes around 20 minutes. Also, you can't watch them actually perform the oil change, due to the way the shop is set up. So you do have to take their word for it that the work is performed as they say. Overall, I was pretty unsatisfied with my experience, especially since they ignored my instructions to use 5W-30 oil.

Matlock’s Service Center did an incredibly thorough job inspecting and diagnosing my vehicle’s issues. Service was quick, well-explained, and affordable. I was even given a loaner car so that I could wait from the comfort of my home for my repair to be complete.

Matlock Auto Repair is awesome! They took our car in, quoted me a price for the repair of the heater motor. When finished the price ended being $300 less than the quote, and they finished the repair same day. As far as we are concerned Matlock is the best in town. They will get all our repair business in the future.

Even though I was running late, they helped me and pulled a nail from my tire and fixed it. It’s refreshing for the attitude to be-you need help right now, instead of it’s too late and we’re going home! It’s rare these days to have a business that promotes the culture of customer care. Matlock was outstanding! We were traveling from Raleigh,NC to Denver, Co and got a tire pressure alarm. Checked the tire and saw nothing. Stopped at another tire shop who were rude. We happened into Matlock and they were great. Took the car and found a nail, fixed it, tested it in a half hour and sent us on our way. This is the definition of service and honesty! Thanks Matlock!!
