Best experience I've had at an auto shop. My new friendly neighborhood mechanic; better answers, fix, and explanation than anywhere else I've been. Quick and affordable and they do the work right in front of you, treating you like family.

I now go to Koenig Lane Inspections, as I dont trust these guys at M&E. They charged me $300 & they couldn't tell me what they did nor was anything on the invoice! My mechnic friend who was too busy to help fix it said they put an oil gasket on & it shouldn't have cost what they charged. Yesterday I took my car to Koenig Automotive & they charged me nothing to diagnose the AC problem while M&E wanted almost a hundred dollars to diagnose it. They also never gave the discount they promised from the first time I used them so I didn't trust them to fix the AC. The place is a mess too but I overlooked that because I thought they would be reasonable. Also a friend took his Audi to them & they charged him a lot & NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM.

$175 diagnostics on 2010 BMW with no results. Mechanic wants to charge $500 more for further diagnostics. Money a student doesn't have. Expensive shop!

Excellent repair shop. Eli is the best! Quality work at reasonable prices. He quoted me a price and although the work turned out be more difficult and time-consuming, he abided by his quote. Not too many places or people do that anymore. I highly recommend them.

Eli rigged my car to turn off a check engine light instead of fixing the actual problem, which caused more problems of course. The 'thing' he put in my car was discovered by a dealership mechanic. Completely illegal practice. I will be taking legal action.

Outstanding. Affordable! Fixed my driver’s side rear mirror that was flopping and did it quickly! Dealership told me they couldn’t fix it and M & E saved the day!

Great service. Good mechanics are hard to come by, I’m really glad to have found him. Being a female a lot of mechanics try to take advantage of you but he was very honest and upfront with me. This is the second time I have brought my car to him both times different reasons. He has reasonable prices too. I highly recommend him. I will definitely keep coming back.

I used to recommend so many to Eli for auto repairs. After my last visit and allowing him to "work" on my truck, I encourage people to AVOID THIS SHOP! He lies and just takes your money. He said he repaired the oil leak and wiring to my 1985 Chevy truck only to find out he just rigged the lights and never repaired the oil leak. He says to bring it back but I refuse. I will file a small claims lawsuit against this scam artist!!

I took my wife's Mercedes Benz with a problem in the chain, it made noises in the morning, I took the part that needed to be changed, new oil, new Cooland, first she said the job would cost $500, then she said $800, but in the end the In the end he said that he had always told us $1,800, the noise continues, it made me lose two weeks of my wife's work and the vehicle was left the same as it arrived.

The worst service, he told me that he would repair my wife's car in one day but the problem came back and he always told me that the part that arrived did not fit so 3 weeks passed just like with my truck he always told me that the part that was It didn't fit and I complained to him because he was wasting my time and one of his workers, who turns out to be his son, told me to look for someone else. I paid him for the car and the truck and not one of them was repaired. I don't recommend them. I paid him for the car and the truck and he didn’t repaired. I complained, but he didn’t repaired, and he didn’t want give my money back

M&E is the BEST!! First and most honest, fair, and caring mechanic I have ever been fortunate to come across – I will be a client for life. Elie has 3 TIMES now saved me and my girlfriend HUNDREDS of dollars after we had taken our vehicles to other Austin mechanics (including the Kia dealership, Lambs and Pep Boys), gotten estimates and dire warnings for what had to be replaced, and took them to M&E without sharing what the others have said. Not only is he honest and a delightful man, but after the huge, huge savings, are vehicles have been running fine for weeks to months. I wish I had found M&E years ago.

My car would not always turn on, so I took it to M&E for diagnosis, expecting to have to order parts and schedule a later appointment for repair. But Ely was able to figure out the problem in less than 5 minutes, he had the parts in stock, and he took it in for repair right then and there. It was great! The cost was very reasonable, too. He showed me to The Hive coffee shop next door to hang out at while I waited for my car, and he personally came to get me when my car was ready. Ely was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend him for your car repairs.

Took our Honda Civic to get our transmission rebuilt and Ellie was straight forward and gave me a set price and eventually got my Honda up and running. Plus he didn’t overcharge like most places that quoted me. Now he’s working on my Audi . Great business
