Charlie is a very patient, kind, knowledgeable person. I bought a old Chevy Corvette that had more issues than anticipated. He gave me lots of great advice and is helping me fix the problematic electric headlights. I highly recommend his services for any issues you may have.

I was required by my insurance company to have photos taken of my new car for coverage purposes. I went to Lou's, no appointment was necessary. Lou's is conveniently located on Coney Island Ave. Within 10 minutes I was done and on my way. I recommend Lou's Auto Specialties.

This is only getting a one star because of the review format, this business deserves zero. I went to Lou's Auto Specialties for a car inspection. I entered the establishment and was told in a rude and unprofessional manner to wait 30 minutes for the inspection. I waited 45 minutes before approaching the same person for an update on my status and was told to park my car in front of another business's driveway. I waited a couple more minutes and approached the person asking if he would have time for my car or if I should leave. The worker then told me "I don't care" and walked off. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here as I agree with another reviewer who said "worst customer service ever, do not go here." I went elsewhere which was much better, I recommend going to National Auto Body Collision Inc (1328 Utica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203) which gave much better service and handled this process quickly.

I've been coming to Lou's Auto Specialties for 30+ years now. This is the place to go for when your older model or classic car needs some specific work that dealerships won't even bother with. IE electrical issues, switches and the little motors for windows and other miscellaneous problems. Bottom line, if Charlie can't fix it, no-one can. 😉

They did everything great, but I was quoted $225 and when I went to pick up my vehicle I was told if I pay cash I wouldn't have to pay tax. I brought $250 and wasn't given any change back.
