Since Tire Discounters took over, this location has gone downhill. The mechanics do quality work, but the level of service has been reduced. 1) For larger, complicated, expensive repairs, the Leete team would do whatever they could to get parts and even drive out of the area to get parts so the vehicle could be repaired as quickly as possible. That level of care is no longer authorized. 2) Leete would also text you when they received your car, like if you did night drop and then text when completed. Now there is no initial text, and the Manager confirmed they no longer text when they receive your car. I guess they want customers calling to confirm vs sending one text. 3) The level of responsiveness has gone down, you use to be able to text back and forth on status. Now getting updates is a struggle. Plus, everything is taking longer. 4) Leete has always been busy, as they do good work, but their ability to accommodate walkins or overnight drops has gone. For an oil change night drop, they called the next day and said the soonest they could work on it would be in two weeks (sorry, 10 days) … for an oil change and tire rotation! 5) After being told it would be 10 days for an oil change/tire rotation we went to pick up the car, with still an hour to go before close. No cars were being actively worked, and crew were idle. This is all on bad management, the mechanics are good. Overall, we are sorry to leave Leete, it was very convenient and good work. All of our family cars have had routine service, new tires, repairs, etc with Leete. Thousands of dollars a year are now moving to a different shop.

I would give these guys ten stars if I could. Always kind & cordial, always willing to fit my car in, always fixing it sooner than they say they will, always working to find the best price, always willing to explain a car issue to me, a woman who doesn’t know an enormous amount about cars but likes learning, without ever once talking down to me. I no longer live within walking distance of them but they’re so great that I drive to them whenever I can. Also they have dope magazines.

On Thursday I got a flat tire, and called these guys on Friday. They were able to get me in on Monday morning so I could travel for Thanksgiving this week. Just the nicest people, and a good price.

Always get a second opinion when you get repairs from here. They will do work without consulting you and try to charge you. Not a reputable inspection place. Put a rejection sticker on the car even though it didn't need an inspection for 3 more months (without asking them to inspect it as well I might add) and the two other places I had it checked at afterwards for a second opinion both said that their reason for the rejection was false and they should be reported.

Tried to rip us off. Took my car in for a couple of things and was told there were several other things wrong, and would be over $1,000 to fix, when the original estimated cost was just over $200. Went in person to talk to them about this, and suddenly they were mistaken and would not need to do any repairs that they said they had found previously. Also told me I needed new break pads, since they were just over 2mm. After this we took the car somewhere else, and was told not only that there were no issues with the car, but the break pads had between 5-7mm. Honestly super upset that they tried to rip off two college students over the phone, then changed their tune when we came in person to ask what the hell they were talking about.

I’ve lived in Richmond almost 6 years and Leete Tire & Auto Center on 2nd street is the only shop I’ll go to for my car. This is the first shop I think I’ve ever been to that won’t try to sell me products or services my car doesn’t need. Very friendly and honest people at a location that is very convenient for people who live in the city, thank you Leete! 💙

We brought a vehicle in for repair. They installed a valve cover on the engine and afterwards told us the engine needed to be replaced. When we came in to pick up the vehicle and after we paid for the valve cover repair that's when we were told the timing chain was broken and we couldn't drive it although we drove it there. Apparently they did something to the timing chain. We were told that they would tow it where we wanted it to go but then wanted to charge us for the tow. It sat for almost 4 weeks until we paid someone else to tow. Made numerous calls and was put off by telling us a manager would call us back but never received a call back. Poor customer service and very low on integrity. They suck!!!!

I had unexpected break repair needs and Leete Tire on 2nd Street in Richmond, VA got me in within a couple days and did a great job repairing my SUV. I explained that i need to drive out of town at the end of the week and they really accommodated me. Great staff, workmanship, and pricing. I highly recommend.
