My experience was top-notch! Even though it was just a slow tire leak requiring a patch, Lamb’s handled it expertly from initial phone call to follow-up on service. Super fast too. If you’re shopping around for a good auto shop, I highly recommend Lamb’s!

I needed to get my new tires aligned, but was told they would not be able to get it done today since they were booked. Another employee over heard the conversation and waved at me while I was about to drive off. They were able to get me in/out fairly quickly. I appreciate getting the job done today. Good job Lamb’s

Have been coming here for over a year now. The team is incredibly professional and helpful and their repairs are guaranteed. Tonight, in particular, I had an emergency and they stayed open late to replace a battery for me which was incredibly generous. Incredible team, Christian is amazing. 100% recommend

The work they do, when it is eventually done, seems adequate but Christian will find ways to attach hidden fees, for example $45 of radiator fluid on a $35 oil change. Tried giving them a second chance getting a 12 minute registration renewal emissions check and, after waiting three hours, was told they would need to keep my car overnight to perform the inspection. The provided explanation is they only have one mechanic but they can afford three front desk clerks.

Absolutely incredible customer service and mechanics. I was notified via a personal phone call several times about the status of my vehicle and when it was ready. This team takes the time to listen to you explain what you think is wrong with your vehicle in a non judgmental way and they take the appropriate steps to get your vehicle fixed as soon as possible. I will without a doubt come back for further service if needed.

Christian was amazing. I’d gotten an incorrect diagnosis on my car and a friend told me to take it to Lambs for a second opinion. They found everything that needed to be fixed, gave great daily updates on the progress via text, phone and email, were reasonably priced and were fast to fix everything and have a two year warranty on the work they did. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Edited for more recent formation: Dec. 2024: I just want to say that I posted this initial review years ago and it’s still true to this day (and several cars later!). Christian and the crew at Lambs are the most above board people in the car business. I am hard pressed to think of another service provider that I work with who demonstrates more integrity and quality of work. The fact that they are all nice is the cherry on top. Original review: I have been taking my Audi to Lambs for several years. I work with Christian and he’s the best! He knows his stuff and in addition to being a pleasure to work with, he is responsive and reliable - always calls when he says he will and sets accurate expectations about pricing and timing. I won’t take my car to anyone else!

Made an appointment online, got there they don't use the companies scheduling system. Before I could even tell them what I needed he started quoting times. I have a major issue with taking a very technical vehicle to an establishment that is not up to date and have working technology. Will never return.

Very sad and disappointed. I took my truck for an overheating problem. They performed a “diagnosed” which came back saying the power distributor was shorted and that had cause the water pump to burn out (first red flag) one thing had nothing to do with , long short story they were trying to charge me over 1,500$.I fixed it for 120$. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but as a small company owner I stay truthful to my clients. Karma people!!!!!

Have used Lamb’s on S Lamar for years—to repair flats, to purchase new tires, and for annual inspections. Was just in for the later. Always communicative and helpful. And they use technology effectively for communicating. They’ll keep my business.

I had the best experience at lamb’s today! Adrian was so helpful, accommodating, and efficient. I called this afternoon and within 2 hours, my tire was completely repaired for an unbeatable price. I will definitely return for any future car/tire troubles!!

Live in Austin? Then get used to nails in yours tires. Like several times a year. Lambs is my go to place for this. Very good, very professional, properly priced. I use the one on South Lamar but would suspect they are the same level of good! Good luck out there.

Went thanksgiving eve, they were busy. Took my car for an oil change. They worked all day for all of us the day before thanksgiving, and I couldn’t be more grateful. These people are the real deal, everybody I heard them talking to they dealt with professionalism and efficiency. Great group here, highly recommend

Women of Austin, this is an auto-repair / tire shop that won't financially take advantage of you because of your gender. After years of looking hard for just one honest business in town (the previous one I went to closed down), I can say that this is by far the gold standard for how you should be priced and treated. Not only are they always willing to fill up my tires for free, when someone removed / broke my tire valve, they fixed it for free -- two days before Thanksgiving! Cannot say enough good things about their business!!!!!! Go!!!!!

I received great service for an oil change at this location, from Adrian. I called ahead to check the estimated wait time. They told me about 1.5 hours which was accurate. This is longer than my usual oil change but they do a full inspection of the air filters, etc, as well. This also included a tire rotation. I had a coupon which dropped the price of a synthetic oil change to about $50. I had to pay extra for my oil filter and this was explained very well to me. Total cost was around $75. The parking lot is adequate. It is located on the busy street of South Lamar. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for another oil change. I would recommend booking an appointment if possible.

I took my car in for a broken motor and track in my window. It took 2 days to get back to me and when I got the email stating what my car “needed” they provided a 23 point inspection with pictures and didn’t even address the broken window. I didn’t want a complete car diagnostic, I just wanted a quote to fix what I brought it in for. It was $100 for them to provide the quote which in all honestly was probably for the complete unasked for inspection. They were very manipulative with the info they provided and used scare tactics to basically tell me my car was a ticking time bomb. It had just been in for repairs at another shop so I found this very suspicious. I’m taking my car back to the original shop that just completed all the work for a second opinion. That was $100 dollars thrown down the drain for nothing.
