By taking our car to Ken's Car Star, I knew we were in great hands ... I had used them before after a deer hit my wife's Taho !! All the people there are very caring!! The entire process / experience was great. In a quick responce, everyone and everything was Fast, Friendly and so very Professional !!!! I would give them 10 Stars out of a five star review !!! I do appreciate the fine work that was done to return my damaged car back to pristine condition. Every contact I had with them was handled in a professional and caring manner. Excellent repair work on my SUV. My vehicle was finished very quickly. I was quoted up to 3 weeks and it only took 9 days from drop off to pick up (could be because insurance was quick to approve the repairs but also it only took 4 business days after the approval for the work to be completed). I would recommend Ken's CARSTAR North to anyone needing repairs. Customer service was great as well. This was my first experience needing a car repaired and they were more than willing to help me understand the process with insurance and even helped with car rental questions.

Not near the place it used to be, called and talked to someone there the other day about doing a quote/estimate on my drivers door and they said drop it off and the estimate would take 3-5 weeks!!! We are talking about an estimate here on a door and its not rocket science!!! Needless to say i won't ever spend anymore of my money there and i will never recommend them to anyone!!!!

**2 PART REVIEW** Firstly, this review may definitely change for the better, but so far, I’m not too satisfied with my first impression. I was told to bring my vehicle, and drop it off, on Wednesday, July 17. I arrived, and we did all of the preliminary paperwork. The damage is somewhat minor, at approximately $1,700, on a 2020 model vehicle. After the paperwork, I asked when I would be able to pickup my vehicle. The gentleman said it would be approximately 3 weeks before they could even begin looking at it, and after that, he said it would take approximately 2-3 weeks to perform the repairs. Overall, I would be without my vehicle for 5-6 weeks. This is unacceptable in my opinion, as well as the opinion of my insurance company. They were shocked to find out that I was told to deliver my car, just to have it sit for 3.weeks before any work begins. I’ve had body work done to my vehicles over the years, and was always told to drop off the vehicle whenever “they were ready to start” working on it, and i cannot recall having to wait any more than maybe 2 weeks.Generally, for something as minor as the damage to the vehicle in question (a deer ran head first into my passenger side door, causing a dent in the door and quarter panel), I assumed that it would take approximately 3-5 days. I’ve actually had something similar to this happen 6-8 years ago, and all repairs were completed within 1 work week. My insurance will not cover a rental car for anymore than 30 days. I could possibly either have to pay for a rental, out of pocket for 2 weeks, or simply not have a vehicle for routine transportation. I’ve heard this place does great work, but it seems as if they either over schedule, or are just very very slow in doing repairs. When I entered the main office, I counted 5 Carstar employees in the office, which I found a bit odd, due to the backlog of potential clients they have waited on their vehicles to be completed. Also, it was very bizarre that they are only open Monday-Thursday. Again, you’d think they would be working 6 days a week, in order to get caught up, or at the very least, 5 days a week. Like every other business that I’ve ever dealt with. In conclusion, I have a lot of concerns with this particular Carstar location, and I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere, unless significantly better options are offered. 6 weeks is way too long to keep the vehicle, and my first impression is that this carstar is under poor management and lacks motivation. I will remain optimistic that we can figure out something that satisfies us both, and if so, I will be making changes to my review. **UPDATE** After my review was published, I received a phone call from Carstar. I wish more places would do call to potential change reviews, but I digress. The time length that I was originally told, was a general practice of Carstar, in order to not give customers any empty promises, and that the length of time was potentially, the most it would take to complete. They also informed me that they had already begun the repairs, and are awaiting parts that had already been ordered. The phone call I received was very impressive. I rarely receive one , and I was given a completely different prospective of Carstar. I will move my star rating from 1 star to 3 stars, for now. After I see the finished product, which is the ultimate goal of most reviews, I may move up to 4 or possibly 5 stars, and of course say why I did or didn’t. I want to thank Ken’s Carstar for their customer support. I wish there were more places like them, that cares what customers think of them. Although I did have a poor first impression, If I were managing Ken’s Carstar, I’d probably have employees work Mon-Fri, like everyone else; Especially when swamped. I cannot argue with the overall results, the end result was far better than the beginning impression. Body work was excellent, and the paint job was flawless.

If you ever need any type of body work done on your vehicle Ken’s CarStar is the place to take it! Everyone was very nice and extremely helpful. The only place we would take our vehicles is to Ken’s CarStar!

Missed the trunk latch - I mentioned it 3 different times, on the phone and in person. The part is now on back order, they had the car for a month and a half. The alignment of the bumper is off - they re used the outer shell, and now I have a lip protuding. They did not re-install the cabling correctly, leaving my trunk floor uneven, with the harness rubbing on paint. Customer service was polite, but would have gone with a different option if there was one (other party insurance). Edit- the trunk button in the car no longer works, was working fine prior to shop repairs. Moisture is accumulating in my tail lights. Update 08/23/2024 - the tail lense is covered by progressive and I was able to do the repair myself. Cabling was reinstalled correctly. Giving one star back, for correcting as many of the issues as possible. This accident happened on May 10, and is now resolved Sep 23 (just over 4 months).
