Chris checked the bushings and brakes on my 2003 LS. I was told by the dealer that they needed replacing and another mechanic that they didn’t! Chris was honest with his appraisal and told me that it wasn’t essential. He didn’t charge me for the review! I’ll go back.

I hardly write reviews, but I am so impressed with Jim Taylor automotive that I have to. I have been coming to Jim Taylor automotive for the last two years. I was recommended by their sister company Jesse‘s garage. Jesse‘s garage works on European cars while Jim Taylor works on all other cars. The past 64 years I have lived in Chicago Washington DC, and now Florida and this is by far the most professional group of people I have ever met in The car garage business. They are the most honest and professional company around. I highly recommend them to anybody.

I have nothing but the highest level of praise to the staff at Jim Taylor Automotive…being a snowbird from the suburbs of Buffalo, NY, (Go Bills!), I encountered a shifter cable problem with my vehicle…I spoke to Phil, the service manager, who gave me an appointment on short notice, I arrived and was greeted by Chris, the Advisor, who immediately had Aaron, one of the technicians, diagnose the problem, which was a loosened bushing on the shifter cable…Chris promptly acquired the part, and Aaron installed it in short order for a very reasonable price…in a world full of auto repair shops looking to rip people off with unneeded and overpriced services, Jim Taylor Automotive was the polar opposite…honest, hard working, professional and courteous…they are now on my speed dial for future auto repair needs!! Two thumbs up!!

After we moved to Sarasota in 2021, I had been very unhappy with the local dealership here. I heard about Jim Taylor's Automotive on a local Facebook page. From the moment i called and the kind lady took my information, I knew they were special. They offered to do a full car inspection along with my service and i was worried they were going to try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. That couldn't have been farther from the truth. The nicest man called about 2 hours after I left the car and said the only things I needed in addition to my service was a cabin filter and wiper blades. The price he quoted was so inexpensive I couldn't believe it. My car was finished by 1 pm and my total invoice was probably one quarter of what the dealership would've charged. When I couldn't pick up my car until the next morning, they were kind enough to let me leave it overnight. I can tell they treat everyone like family. They run a business the old fashion way; fast, efficient, fair and treat the customer with the highest, respect. It's extremely refreshing and I can't recommend them enough.

I scheduled an alignment after having new tires installed elsewhere assuming I needed one. They had a bay open for me and took my car right in and I was 15 minutes early. The Technicians tested my vehicle and determined an alignment was not needed. No charge. Very polite and friendly. Will definitely return. Highly recommend.

They worked hard to identify the reason for my car leaking antifreeze. They fixed it at a fair price and honored their guaranty when it was needed at a later date. Everyone we dealt with was courteous, kind and honest. I highly recommend this company .

Today was lucky for us. The shop was busy and we needed to fix a safety issue, a broken headlamp. They were able to fit us in and "problem solved".! The serviceman could not have been nicer . While we waited we chatted with 2 regular customers who had super positive compliments on the garage work. Now we add our enthusiastic positive coment...They are about customer satisfaction. Our Jeep has found a local "go to" repair car company.

What an incredible shop that I will return to in the future! The customer service Chris and Phil provided was outstanding! Thought I had a bad alternator but turned out to just be a bad battery. They even provided me with a complimentary Uber to and from home. I sincerely appreciate their honesty and quick service!

It appeared to me they went out of their way to insure my vehicle performed at it's absolutely best, even if it meant keeping the car longer than they anticipated and upsetting me with the delay. However the end result was wonderful, my car has never run better

The power lift gate on my Ford Edge stopped working one day. Thru a couple reviews I took it to the Jim Taylor Auto folks. I had seen one Nextdoor Neighbor post where the poster had been quoted $2200 by another repair shop to repair a similar problem on a different mfgr SUV. I left my car clutching at my billfold. A few hours later I got a call saying my car was ready. Chris said it was just some codes that had gotten messed up due to the battery having been disconnected. I’ll just say the “charge” for this repair was WAY below what I expected. I’m a really happy and satisfied customer. I can’t overstate how much the integrity, knowledge & expertise of the folks at Jim Taylor Auto meant to me. Great business - high ethical standards. Can I give them SIX STARS?!?
