I’m super disappointed in Jim Estes service of our van. We brought our van in 4 times for them to look at the generator in one years time. We explained from the beginning that we smelled gas. The most recent time we brought it in 10/24 you my boyfriend came to pick it up, asked if you saw the gas leak and he was told no. My boyfriend crawled under the van and showed your guy the gas leak and so you kept it another day and said you fixed it. You also said you ran it (boyfriend heard 3 separate stories about how long you ran it…one said 30 minutes one said 2 hours)… Long story made short. We got it home the day we picked it up and we ran it and again, same thing as before, it died after 25 minutes. We took it to Cummins last month and we needed a new fuel pump for our generator. Likely this is what we needed from the start but instead your business charged us 4 times and still didn’t fix the problem. If you didn’t know what was wrong or were unable to diagnose it, why didn’t you just tell us from the start? The amount of money and time spent for your sloppy work is ridiculous. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars for nothing and when we spoke to you about it the last time (when again you assured us it was fixed) you were non chalant about the complaint. I emailed you this same information a month ago and asked that you contact me unless you want me to write a bad review. I got no phone call or return email from you. Sara Ulrich and Dan Pink

This will be the only place I will bring my car from now on. They were super fast fixing the problem and the price was unbeatable. I loved the peace of mind knowing they have been in business for almost as long as I've been alive. I highly recommend this auto shop. Besides all that the people are so nice and down to earth.

I work at a local auto shop and was trying to get a quote to get a customers vehicle repaired properly. The conversation started by me explaining the situation which was responded with an extremely exasperated sigh. I was then put on hold for about 8 minutes and she told me everything except for what I asked for. She told me a quote from a previous customer, told me she had 17 work orders open currently so she could not put in any effort at all to get a price quote from Chevy any time soon, and had terrible customer service the entire time. I’m surprised this place still gets business with a person answer the phones like this. Y’all need to do better, my company will not be talking to anyone here any time soon.

11 months to rewire the car and get the new ac compressor aligned. Picking it up, the speedo wasn't reattached, the steering column squeaks, the temp controls weren't reattached. They attached the speedo then. But a couple days later I was told it was done. Picking it up the steering still squeaks, rattling is inder the dash?, and the heater controls weren't reattached. I pull in after only a 20 minute drive, and the radiator is spewing coolant. I'd piost the vid however only photos can be uploaded. Not sure how well that shows the bubbling over and steam. Classic car mechanics simply don't exist anymore.

Bought an old Tacoma recently and the wonderful people here worked hard to fix it up until I passed the DEQ emissions test. By doing what they did the vehicle drives way smoother and is now more gas efficient. The people here do wonders.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !! I WAS PREFERRED FROM CLASSIC CARS TO GET SOME BASIC AUTO REPAIRS DONE ON A 1955 THUNDERBIRD. I DROPPED CAR OFF IN APRIL, JUST GOT THE VEHICLE BACK, "ITS AUGUST"!!! AFTER A MONTH OF NOT HEARING ANYTHING I STARTED TO CALL TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON?! I WAS TOLD THE MECHANIC THAT WORKS ON THOSE TYPE OF CARS, HAD LIMITED HOURS. I DIDNT HAVE A PROBLEM, THEN IT TOOK ANOTHER FEW WEEKS TO GET A ESTIMATE ON REPAIRS. I WAS QUOTED $2600, WHICH WAS WAY OVERPRICED, BUT I APPROVED THE WORK. DIDNT HEAR A WHOLE LOT FROM THEM UNTIL JULY!!! SO I POPPED UP, TO SEE THE PROGRESS AND WHY I HADN'T HEARD ANYTHING. WAS TOLD THEY COULDNT FIND PARTS, MECHANIC DIDNT WORK ON MONDAYS, A BUNCH OF EXCUSES AND I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A OWNER, OR SOMEBODY INCHARGE. I WAS TOLD HE WAS ON VACATION. FROM THAT POINT, GOT A PHONE CALL SAYING CAR WOULD BE DON IN A WEEK, WHICH WAS EARLY JULY. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS DONE AND A BUNCH OF EXCUSES, AND PROBLEM FINDING THE PARTS, THAT I WAS TOLD THEY FOUND AND PROMISED THE CAR WOULD BE DONE IN ANOTHER COUPLE DAYS. MID JULY AT THIS POINT, I POPPED UP AGAIN, AND GOT THE SAME DRAG AND BS!!! ASKED TO SPEAK TO OWNER FOR THE SECOND TIME, HE JUST HAPPENED TO BE OUT OF TOWN AGAIN!!! SO FINALLY 8/27/2024 I GET A CALL SAYING THE CAR WAS FINISHED AND THE EXPECTED $2600 WAS NOW, $4500!!! THE WOMEN THAT RUN THE OFFICE SAID IT WAS AN ADDITIONAL 4 HOUR AND A TECHNICIAN COULD DISCUSS AMOUNT OWED WHEN I PICK VEHICLE UP!!! I WOULD NEVER IN A LIFE TIME DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP!! CAR IS DIRTY, SEATS ARE OILY, AND THE LIST OF BS THAT IS ON THE RECEIPT IS WAY WRONT AND FOUL!!! This is really only a briefing of the HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE WENT THROUGH WITH THIS SHOP!!! SO NOW WE ARE LEFT WITH THE DIRTY SEATS FROM BEING IN THEIR SHOP FOR MONTHS!, AND THE 4 HOUR WIRING JOB ON A SIMPLE SEAT, THAT TOOK THE PRICE FROM $2600 TO $4500 IS SO DISRESPECTFUL! IM A CAR DEALER AND HAVE BEEN FOR 20 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER IN LIFE HAD A CAR SIT IN A SHOP FOR THIS LONG, WITH UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE RUNNING A BUSINESS! OUT 1955 DREAM CAR BECAME A NIGHTMARE FOR REALLY SIMPLE REPAIRS!! LEAVES A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS ENCOUNTER......WASTED TIME AND MONEY!! After $4500, you'd think the mechanic would get all the oil and grease off the seat! I COULD HAVE WALKED AROUND THE COUNTY AND FOUND THE PARTS, FASTER THAN THEY COMPLETED THIS WORK! Just FOUL and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!......SIGNED "MR PISSED OFF" I HAVE PICTURES AND RECEIPTS ....UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!

went to this business by a friends recommendation. had to have a catalytic converter replaced. very friendly people . good price and good service . highly recommended business. good honest and reliable service people are very rare to find.

This is by far one of the most honest fair priced and understanding mechanic shops I've been to in awhile. This past year I've replaced everything on my truck from the engine to the tires this last year. I've since had to replace the things that got worked on at other shops yet again and this garage is helping me out. Thanks guys, you're an awesome shop and I'm glad you're my neighbors.

I had an appointment to get a wheel alignment at 3:00pm. When I got there, I was told I couldn’t be helped because a vehicle died on the machine. The most frustrating part, I called ahead and let them know I would be running a few minutes late due to traffic, and did they let me know then? No. I was told as I arrived. I wasted time and fuel for a service I was very excited for and couldn’t get. At least I got an apology?

Very first time I went I had to ask an employee to come get a wedged 2"x4" piece from my 1988 Chevy Camaro's ground effects. That being said, I've had several other positive encounters with my 1973 Chevy K10 and 1997 Rav4 Great place to buy interstate batteries and Amsoil as well.

Where do I start. First of all they need to communicate with customers better. Several times I called trying to get updates on what is going on with my truck only to get pushed back either to another day or told they will call back in a few which never happens Several times. They keep you in the dark about how much you need to pay or even a ball park figure until they are about done. Also I told them my vehicle is a high priority vehicle due to it being my rv (home). 3 weeks later I get my truck not running correctly. Alright so we are swapping the motor. the exhaust leaks now badly ( which never did before). They broke my coolant temp sensor when taking out the old engine and tried to say it was already broken. Ok so if the temp sensor isn't working my cooling fans don't work. They done a break in on the motor and test drove it with no cooling fans or the ability to see if it is getting too hot. Which can and will severely damage a motor. After delivery I have noticed that it doesn't have the power it should. I also noticed this perfume smell coming from the exhaust which never have I ever smelt something like this coming from an engine. I believe they added something to my fuel tank to cover up the fact that they screwed up my new engine. Stay away from here unless you want more problems than when you arrived!!! I will be filling a complaint with the BBB and may need to get an attorney because they really screwed up my truck! Update: I just tried calling to discuss the problem without an answer. Another update: 3/20 it would be awesome if they tightened the hoses completely and maybe they won't blow off the motor while driving. Please folks go somewhere else!

Got me on the schedule on 1 days notice for a faulty window switch. Dropped it off at 800 the next morning and they were done by 1000. Fantastic customer service and communication regarding finding the part as well. 5☆ shopin Oregon City.

I can say enough great things about Jim Estes Garage. They are the only place I could find that would work on my 1985 Chevy Square body. I went to three places, and they all told me that they no longer work on cars or trucks that were built before 1996!!! Jim Estes Garage works on everything. When I drove up to the shop, they had several older trucks in the lot as well as a 68 Buick Skylark GS. A Datsun 620 pick and at least 2 dozen other muscle cars and trucks from the 50's 60's 70's up to modern cars as well. The staff was amazingly helpful and took care of me even though I had several special requests. They even called me an Uber when my ride fell through. Thanks, guys, for such great service! Cheers!

I went in with a brand new distributor on my motorhome and it mysteriously broke while Les was looking at the choke. They said they replaced it with one from auto zone but it was pink. I was there to get my choke fixed. They couldn’t fix it. Ron had a new one, I missed my appointment and when I called to reschedule, Ron is no longer there and no one knew anything about the choke. Said they could not help me.

Went in to get some work done a few weeks ago, started with getting a quote for bushings needing replaced. Listened to a few people in their fight over if the work could be done or not which I thought was pretty unprofessional to do in front of a customer. Gave them my number and they said they would give me a call with the quote and I’m still waiting for that call…..? Just one of those not so good feelings, no chance I’d let them work on my rigs.
